This lip gloss has a subtle nude colour and a large applicator that makes it quick to coat the lips. It has a thick and medium pigmented formula with a very slightly oily feel, not sticky. It makes the lips look full and hydrated but it doesn’t actually have any plumping effect that i could discern, no tingling or stinging and my lips looked as plump as when using any lipgloss really.

Ended up with the floral cream colour and glad I did as it’s turned out to be the fantastic.

It applies easily and evenly, plumps up a little and is easy to wash off as well.

Not a bad size vial I’d say either. A little pricey but the quality is there so it balances out I’d say.

    Solid choice, definitely recommend. 5*!

I wanted a nice, soft pink, as I’m in my 50s and find the brighter and deeper shades of my youth can now leave me looking like a vampire.

This one is really great for everyday, when I don’t want a heavily made-up look.

It’s nice and moisturising, and to me smells like…CAKE!

I realise that might not be entirely accidental, considering the 2000 Calories name.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice, soft colour from a trusted brand

I chose the Melting Ice option of this lip glaze, which looks pearl-coloured in the tube, but which I was hoping was clear and therefore able to be used over my existing lip colour. It has a wide sponge applicator wand, making it easy to apply with just a couple of strokes. It feels slightly tacky but not sticky, and smells delicious: a cross between vanilla and white chocolate!

I tried it over my usual lip colour first, and it gave a nice glossy sheen whilst still being able to see the original colour. I was careful to wipe the residue of my lip colour off the wand before returning it to the tube to keep the lip glaze pristine inside it. It stayed put even though I drank coffee from my travel mug, which surprised me – but then it IS Max Factor 😉

I later tried it on bare lips, using the wide wand to just slick over my bottom lip and then smacking my lips together to apply a coat to my top lip; this works well because the wide wand places enough glaze on the bottom lip to coat both lips. Again, I was really pleased with the look achieved and would be happy to wear this glaze on its own for everyday use.

I am a mature lady who generally avoids products aimed at the younger market, but this lip glaze is something that I will definitely wear, whether over my usual lip colour or on its own — it’s fab!

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks fab, smells great and stays put!

I really like the colour of this lip glaze. It feels so nice on and it is super moisturising and it is also not sticky which I like.

It has a little bit of a plumping effect and just makes your lip looks a bit nicer to be honest. It looks nice on its own or as a coloured gloss on top of a lipstick for example.

Good value for money and I would recommend it.
