    It also washes your face
I have bought two of this Artelac Hydra Plus spray, because I believe it is better for my post cataract op eye than others I have used although this spray definitely needs refined – it sprays half my face every single time! It is such a waste of the product. The spray leaflet says the pump mechanism is patented and this may be the case but other eye sprays I have used have better directing sprays that don’t wash my hair as well! Stupid spray mechanism is reason for 4 stars.

I found this stings a bit. Not as bad as another I bought but I don’t use it unless I am desperate. It does moisturise gritty eyes but I just don’t like it much as it stings !!

    Cooling
It cools tired eyes, but doesn’t last as long as I’d hoped, so the 4 stars instead of 5. I’ve never tried any others so I’m afraid I can’t compare it. Saying that, I would recommend this.

Instant relief from dry, “gritty” eyes. An excellent adjunct to treatment for allergic rhinitis. One “puff” in each eye had a lasting effect for most of the morning for me.

My eyes like this brand for tear replacement it has ectoin which is also for allergies which helps. It’s easy to dispense, and small enough to carry in my handbag. I need more than one type of drop for dry eyes and am still finding out what’s best for me but Artelac Eye Hydra Plus works well for me.

This eye spray is designed to relieve symptoms of dry, itchy or tired eyes. It is also suitable for contact lens wearers which is great as I’m one. I usually use Optrex Actimist for as my go-to eye soother when my eyes occasionally feel gritty or sore, which can happen in summer when there’s a lot of pollen about, or if I’ve been driving in my car with the aircon on for some time as this dries out my eyes.

This eye spray is easy to use- either by spraying onto closed lids, or by spraying 10cm away from the side of the eye while blinking. It feels very refreshing and really does work to lubricate and sooth my eyes. My husband likes it too. We’ve tried alternatives to our usual brand before, but haven’t been impressed because the spray patten hasn’t been as good or as fine. The Artelac isn’t as fine a mist as the Optrex version either. If you’re not careful and don’t press spray hard enough or fast enough, do get a bit of a squirt on the face, but if used properly it’s not too bad.

It is cheaper than our usual one (currently Prime priced at 8.76) though, so that is a selling point. Overall, I’m giving it 4 out of 5. If the spray had been a better mist, then it would easily have scored a five.
