Bought for my 13 year old grandson who has Reynard’s he loves them and says they are his best Xmas present this year. They are great shape to hold toasty warm, you can charge your phone or use the great torches plus they are magnetic and attach to each and I’m assuming anything metal which could be useful in lots of ways. They seem to hold their charge really well and give hours of hand warmth.
These hand warmers are pretty similar to others available from Amazon with a couple of exceptions. In addition to warming your hands, they each have a built in torch and they can charge your phone or other USB C device.
On receiving the item I went to charge them using a standard phone charger. 3 green LEDs show the level of charge and whilst charging they flash and stay solid when reaching a level of charge. You get two hand warmers that will magnetically stick together if you want. You get a carry pouch, instruction postage stamp, a 2xUSB C to 1 USB A and a USB A to C adapter. The Y adapter lets you charge both hand warmers at once from a single UUSB socket/charger.
A long press turns the unit’s heat on. It will start at the top setting. a short single press changes the heat level which cycles through 3-2-1-3-2… etc. Level 1 is just a gentle warmth, 2 is probably the one to use long term and 3 gets quite toasty!
To use the torch you press the button twice in quick succession. When the light is on you can cycle through the modes by a single, short press of the button. It cycles through the following modes Torch->Dim Torch->Strobe Light->S.O.S Flash.
The charging of the phone also worked but it needed me to plug the cable into the phone first then into the hand warmer for the phone to recognise it has a charging source. Reading the data using Ampere on my phone it was charging my S22 at about 7w which is not the fastest but acceptable and handy in an emergency.
Overall I believe these are pretty good for the price considering the extra features they have over a standard hand warmer. Definitely ones to put on your ‘to consider’ list.
