Use Tips

  1. To avoid paper jams caused by overloading the machine, check and clean the cutter in good time.
  2. Please wait until the paper is completely shredded before adding new paper.
  3. When the bin is full, please clean it out in time to avoid affecting the reversing function and making the machine unusable.
  4. Shredder Oil Packs are recommended to regularly sharpen, clean and lubricate the shredder blades for optimum shredder performance.

  • Q: Why doesn’t the shredder work after plugging in?

A: Overheating, this design with 5 minute continuous run time with 40 minute cool down after use. Please allow the shredder to cool for at least 40 mins , otherwise it will not work properly.

  • Q: The cross-cut shredder is jammed. What should I do?

A: Please switch to REV and pull the paper out, after removing the exceed sheets, please shred again. If there is too much paper scraps in the feed slot, sliding to FWD mode for a few seconds and then to REV mode for a few seconds.

  • Q: Why is the number of sheets that can be shredded lower than the maximum number of sheets described?

A: Please check if the paper is damp, contains plastic or too thick, if so, please let the paper dry before shredding, or reduce shredding sheets per pass. To extend the lifetime of the paper shredder, please don’t shred more than 6 sheets in one time.

U put paper in and it comes out in little bits, which can be a bit of a problem if you’ve shredded the wrong doc, takes ages to stick it back together again.

This shredder is so much better than I was expecting it to be. So easy to use, it dealt with all my paper junk without a glitch and the waste collector bin is larger than any previous shredder I have used.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy mum wanted a shredder and asked me to order her one. I went for this as it looked like it would be a good size for the home and she isn’t shredding on an industrial scale (though she did have a good sized pile which had built up). My mum is a huge technophobe who gets nervous about anything new but she managed to get it up and running on her own and had cleared her backlog within a day. She was pleased that it was nice and quick, relatively quiet and easy to use. She was very happy that the cross shredding meant no one could piece together anything as the pieces were so small. Overall seems to be a good product for a reasonable price.

Less expensive than our previous shredder, quieter, and smaller but does more sheets at a time. I hadn’t realised just how much time I would save by being able to shred more pages at a time. Also much easier to remove and replace the top for bin emptying as it has a convenient handle. The only drawback is that I keep forgetting there is no latch to keep the top in place so if I try to use the handle to move the machine, I just remove the blade section and leave the bin behind.

Used this for shredding documents and bank cards, performed well, shredding paper and card into what looked like confetti. My only fault is that the paper has to be pushed into the slot, it doesn’t feed freely, other than that a good machine and a good price.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis shredder is very much for occasional / lightweight use only.
The description referring to an “8-Sheet Cross Cut Paper Shredder” is simply not true. A maximum of three sheets of 80gsm paper is the most it could manage at any one time.

It wasn’t used in an office, but at home, with the purpose of clearing the backlog of filing over the years that needed to be done away with. I used it for 5 – 10 minutes a day for five days a week – so quite a bit. After 5 weeks of use as outlined, it suddenly stopped working. The gears were all going round, but paper wouldn’t feed through. The unit was thoroughly cleaned, but it made no difference.

The noise that it was making suggested gears going round but slipping, as though not every element was engaging as it should. Because I had used it for 5 weeks, I feel that it would be unfair to demand a refund.

By the same token it’s really disappointing that it only worked for… 5 weeks.

So it’s going to be binned. It worked quite well for a while. Just not long enough. Not recommended – unless you want to shred a very small numbers of documents very occasionally.

Update: the issue was reported to the sellers, and they responded quickly, and courteously. A replacement was sent within a week.
    Good customer service!
