The Bosch EasyPump is a convenient and efficient tool for inflating various items. Its compact design and cordless operation make it portable and easy to use. The digital display and preset pressure settings provide accuracy, while the automatic shutoff prevents overinflation. The rechargeable battery ensures long-lasting performance. Overall, Bosch EasyPump is a reliable and user-friendly solution for quick inflation tasks, making it a valuable addition to any toolkit.

For years I’ve been using a good old-fashioned foot pump – it works, but with increasingly big tyres (on increasingly big wheels) it takes more and more effort to top them up with air. So although this Bosch item isn’t specifically for car tyres (and indeed a couple of the reviews I read relating to car tyres sounded like maybe it’s not the right device), I thought I’ve give it a try. It’s thoroughly impressed me, and makes me wonder why I didn’t buy it (or something similar) years ago! I have big 21 inch tyres on my car and this gadget adds a couple of PSI in seconds. It’s incredibly convenient to be able to dial in the pressure you want, screw the device to the tyre valve, and simply let it do its thing. I read a couple of other reviews that suggested the battery is quickly depleted when topping up car tyre pressures, but so far I haven’t found that – in fact I put it on to charge after adding around 2psi to each of four tyres, and the battery meter shows the device is still full. My only concern is the accuracy of the pressure reading. Having used the Bosch device to set the tyre pressures to the desired level, the car TPMS monitor now shows they’re 2psi over target, and my own separate pressure gauge shows the same thing. I’ll do a few more comparisons to decide if it’s the Bosch pressure gauge that’s inaccurate, but right now it looks that way. However, if it’s reliably always indicating 2psi over the ‘real’ pressure I can live with that, by dialling into the Bosch a target pressure 2psi less than actually needed.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI chose to purchase this well-known branded product for multiple purposes (bicycles, car, camping needs).

An ergonomically great design, extremely sturdy and easy to use, albeit quite heavy, but maybe this is a good sign. The USB C charging is very useful, but I have not yet tried charging the pump via a USB C cable from within the car yet, so I cannot confirm how long it may take to recharge the pump in this manner, perhaps with the car ticking over.

Camping – not tried the pump on airbeds yet but you are provided with a small slim funnel attachment that is stored neatly in the handle (i.e. should never lose it!) but I see not problem at all for this purpose, especially for those smaller inflatables (rings, beach balls etc). However if you require the wider type attachments that some airbeds require you may need to look into this further as the attachments provided may not be wide enough or suitable for your requirements.

Bicycle – perfect for the job, no worries here, although the pump itself is quite large and heavy if you are looking for a pump to take with you on cycling journeys. I’m convinced there are more compact and lighter pumps available for cyclists, but I opted for this pump hoping it would serve multiple uses, primarily for the car.

Motorist – On a full charge (displaying 4 bars in the LED indicator) the pump was able to inflate the 1st tyre in approx 4-5 minutes, and the second tyre in approx 6-7 minutes (from 2.0 to 3.1 BAR approx). The pump was left with one bar of charge remaining on the LED indicator after 2 tyres inflated, so the pump requires a second full charge before allowing me to complete the job for the tyre pressures mentioned.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have always found Bosch products to be very reliable. Purchased the EasyPump at a very reasonable 36 during a sale for the purpose of keeping wheelchair tires inflated. Despite not being the fastest on the market, this handheld pump is easy to use, has good battery life, very portable, if not a little loud.

I would love to see them move away from a screw-on Schrader valve to a quick-fit adapter. You can buy a third-party adaptor. I did this but had mixed results with air leaking but put this down to the adaptor being a poor fit. I recommend EasyPump for my needs, and it only takes a few hours to recharge by USB-C.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersComing across this by chance, and having several different types of tyre inflation devices, I wondered if this was something worth buying.
I have a garage compressor which is great for motorhome/car tyres, and great for bicycle tyres, especially from flat when fitting new tyres or having topped up tubeless sealant; a track pump which I’ve had for yonks and is handy for a quick top up of bicycle tyres instead of having to use the compressor; the motorhome has a powerpack/jump starter/compressor thing in it which is handy for topping up tyres when away if needed; my car has one of those small 12V compressors which, again, is handy for any emergency and my saddle bag has a Lezyne micro pump in it for any occasion when out cycling on any of my bikes.
So, why would one of these be any use I wondered?
When we go away in the motorhome I usually pack the track pump, but it’s not the easiest thing to pack and ends up getting in the way! The powerpack/compressor thing is a bit unwieldy just for doing bicycle tyres and the micro pump, as good as it is, can take a loooong time to pump up a 29″ MTB tyre from flat if I’ve had a large enough puncture that the sealant can’t deal with and I’ve had to put a bacon strip plug in and then inflate the tyre from flat.
I thought this inflator might be of particular use for use with my bikes, and the rest of the family’s bikes too (which have a mixture of presta and schrader valves), so took the plunge and bought one.
So far, no regrets. If I’m out for the day cycling I’ll usually have a small backpack with me, and this is compact enough that it can pop in there without adding much weight.
I needed to add some air to my MTB the other day at home and decided to grab this for the job. Topped the tyre up easily and relatively quickly – obviously not as fast as a compressor or a track pump, but way quicker than a compressor when you factor in turning the compressor on and getting it up to pressure and unwinding/rewinding the hose on the reel, and certainly less effort than the track pump.
For topping up a bicycle tyre it works a treat, and when out on a ride will make inflating a flat tyre so much easier than with a micro pump.
I’ve not used it on any vehicle tyres yet, and if at home would just use the compressor obviously, and if away would use the portable compressor – but I’m sure this would be sufficient to top up a tyre if there was nothing else. Don’t think I’d fancy inflating a car/motorhome tyre from flat with it though!
The included adapters fit nicely into the body with a slide over cover so no chance of them falling out and being lost in transit.
The schrader connection screws onto the valve, so no having to try and hold it in place whilst inflating.
The presta adapter attached easily too, just needs a little push to be on far enough to engage with the thread. The hose then screws onto the presta adapter. I found it easier to put the presta adapter on first, rather than attaching to the hose first and trying to then attach it to the valve all in one go.
The gauge seemed to be reasonably accurate. Unless you have a calibrated tyre pressure gauge, you’ll never know which one of your devices is the most accurate!
The cloth bag keeps it protected, the display mostly, but also keeps the hose from getting caught up during transit.
Once I was happy that I was keeping the inflator I bought a case for it to just keep it protected when being stored in the garage or transported in a vehicle. When carrying it when cycling I just use the soft bag.
The preset function is very handy, allowing you to set it and just leave it to shut off automatically – or, of course, you can turn off the preset option and inflate manually.
Finally, the fact that it is USB charging is fantastic. For me it means it can be charged in our motorhome, and even from a small powerpack if need be.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI was looking for a tyre inflator that would work independently and not off the car battery. I also wanted something compact as many models were big and bulky. I found this Bosch unit and the majority of reviews were good. I also found a Youtube video demonstrating its use and the reviews from that were also positive.

It is indeed compact, lightweight without being flimsy. The controls and digital read out are clear and easy to use. It arrived with the adaptor for car tyres fitted to the unit. The unit’s battery is charged via a USB cable which comes with it. If you switch the unit on first, you can preset the tyre pressure so when you connect it to the tyre valve, it is ready to go. It is very easy to use; and when screwing it gently onto the tyre valve, it gives a small puff of air to let you know it is correctly fitted. It inflated all four tyres with no problem and once the correct pressure has been reached, it automatically cuts off.

Excellent piece of kit and would highly recommend.
