Nifty!
I bought this on the basis of being healthy and making my own smoothies, it quickly blends within seconds. It’s compact and can fit into the cupboards, easy to clean. The blades are sharp enough to get through veg! Admittedly I’ve been using it to make milkshakes now but it’s great!
Absolutely brilliant simple blende
I bought this for my son so I could make him smoothies and be able to blend in the dreaded vegetables he refuses to eat.
This simple blender totally did the job…Easy to use , easy to clean and produces some seriously delicious smoothies and milkshakes.
I would recommend this product to anyone in total honesty. Surprisingly impressed for the basic blender that it is.
Today i made my first smoothie
I dont eat fruit very often , too much chewing lol . So I put 2 bannanas 1 apple and 1 orange and just topped up with iced water , it was nutritionally delicious , I look forward too
many more fruity concotions .
I love how quickly it makes a smoothie, it took 15 seconds to blend a smoothie made with frozen raspberries, banana and some oat milk (see the video). Each smoothie has a really nice consistency without lumps and it’s easy to drink. My daughter loves these smoothies.
I also often use it to make green smoothies with spinach, banana, cucumber and apple juice.
I love this breville smoothie maker and blender for its price and how portable it is. Great value for money.

Perfect for making protein shakes, compact and not too noisy, even crushes ice for that chilled coffee. Easy to use and uses its ready made cup, no extra washing up!

For this to make morning smoothies and I was not disappointed. The only thing I would say is do not over fill it. Works quickly and was easy to use. The bottle is nice a large and the end product is smooth. Have so far make smoothies and milkshake.

Fantastic little blende
I bought this to mix my protein drinks in, as I found it a real chore using the big blender.
It works perfectly, just press the button and away you go, blends fruits, protein drinks, smoothies etc with ease.
I love that it comes with 2 drinks beakers, it’s so quick and convenient and a doddle to clean.

My 120 quid Ninja’s motor burned out so bought this as a cheap stop gap. Obviously for the price it’s sturdiness and power is not in the same league, but for making protein shakes, smoothies and blending soups and sauces it does the job. Dogs hate the noise just as much as its predecessor – but it’s not excessively loud
Good but bottle clip broke
Product works well but as others have said, the clip that secures the lid broke within weeks and now doesn’t secure, and has sharp plastic sticking out of it. Other than that, it does what it says and is good for making smoothies which is what I was after. Couldn’t justify spending Ninja kinda money.
Simple
I’m pleased with this blender, it was very easy to set up and use. It’s easy to clean if you have a dishwasher but I think it’d be quite difficult to clean the blades without accidents if washing by hand.
I’ve used it for two different purposes so far. First was to blend my son’s food – it worked well but I did have to open it up and move the food down so the blade to get it all – it was a fairly thick mix though.
The second was for a milkshake, so much thiner and it did a great job with this.
It is quite noisy but I expected that.
Overall I’m very happy with it.

If things take too much preparation I tend to loose interest. I have been using this daily for about two months.. it is easy to use and blends well. I do find that if I am using frozen fruit liquid does have to cover it for it to blend otherwise it gets stuck, but I just add a bit more if needed. I haven’t tried it with ice.
Good blende
Very good blender just got it couple of days ago and been using it since. But then one of the days when I’ve used it, I’ve noticed a burning smell from the blender is it normal to be smelling like that?

This is a good blender for my protein smoothies.
I’m a bit miffed that I can’t use the beakers from my old Blend Active as Breville have changed the screw thread. I only bought the new one because the blades got lost on my old one.
Gets the job done.
Good blender, works well. However? The plastic part of the lid that locks the cap in place is very weak. Been using mine for about a month and the plastic part of the lock just broke off recently. Still usable just can’t close the lid.

As picture actually shows, it is Black & Gold not rose gold (which tends to be more pinkish).. I was looking for Black & Gold to match my kettle, so it is absolutely perfect. Just keep that in mind, if you’re after Rose gold, that it is gold!
WHAT I LIKE:
– It is a powerful little machine, preforms as good as my old one, even with ice. I like that it’s a pulse button, not 1 speed button, therefore its really good for chopping as well.
– And it is also really small and compact, unlike my old blender, so it takes less space on the kitchen counter.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE:
– As others mentioned, this company really needs to work on better bottle design, it doesn’t bother me as much as I have other bottles I can use, but it’s not the most sturdy design and it will eventually crack, whereas my old blender’s bottle didn’t have the closing clasps and there was nothing to break (and I had the blender for 5 years). So that’s an only minus.
Brilliant blender but rubbish lid on the bottle.
I now just use mine without the lid because the hinge broke. Luckily I didn’t really take my shakes anywhere anyway but if you do I would probably get a spare bottle because the lids are very flimsy.
The blender itself is great for the price. It’s not really powerful but if you give it enough time and pulses it will blend. I did try it with ice and the noise was horrid and it sounded like it struggled so not sure I’d reccomend for that.

Blender realy bad
I used for a month and smoothy cups got very loose, was hard to blend a shake without it getting very loose. Not worth it
Doesn’t blend too good eithe
I purchased this as a gift for my mum who really likes my Ninja blender. She had never physically used my blender but liked the smoothies I had made her with it.
Because of the arthritis in her hands she struggles to twist things and lift off lids if too firm.
The ninja blender is quite stiff and on the bulky side so I wanted to find her something a little easier to use.
She only needs the smoothie’s for herself so this one was an ideal size.
I helped her to set it up and it was very easy to use. I was surprised how lightweight it was and easy to screw on compared to my Ninja.
There are much less features on this one in comparison to my blender however for what she needed it for it was perfectly fine.
I was impressed that it crushes frozen fruit and ice very quickly.
She did have a bit of a mishap when making her 1st smoothie. When twisting to remove the smoothie bottle from the blender, she kept on twisting repeatedly which unskrewed the lid completely. Then the smoothie went all over the kitchen.
She learned from that mistake and everything has been good ever since.
If I ever needed a replacement blender I would definitely purchase this one. It is affordable but powerful.

My nine-year-old grandson is showing an interest in cooking, and recently I’ve been trying to capitalize on his curiosity. We were planning on going on a picnic on day two of his stay, and he asked me to buy a blender so we could make our own smoothies. After careful searching, I purchased the Breville Blend Active Personal Blender & Smoothie Maker. Firstly, I was happy that it arrived on time as he was so excited about the prospect of our experiment. Straight away, I was impressed with its performance and functionality. As the 350W motor is surprisingly powerful for such a compact blender.
After a few simple instructions, my grandson was able to experiment with various ingredients with only minimal supervision, which boosted his confidence. It effortlessly blended a variety of ingredients, including fruits, vegetables, and even ice, resulting in smooth and well-textured beverages. We tried everything out.
The two portable blend active bottles included with this blender are a great design feature and fantastic addition. With a capacity of 600ml each, they are the perfect size for single servings. The bottles are made of durable BPA-free plastic, ensuring they are safe for everyday use. Going on a picnic, I appreciate the leak-proof lids, which allowed us to carry our smoothies without worrying about spills or messes. The white and pink colour scheme is also a nice touch, giving the blender a stylish and vibrant look.
What sets this blender apart from others is its convenience and simplicity. The blending process is incredibly straightforward. For me and my grandson, it provided a day of fun and enjoyment. Ultimately, he chose to make banana and pineapple with yoghurt, and I chose tropical fruit. On our walk and picnic, we shared with each other, and he was very proud of his achievement.
I bought this for breakfast smoothies and to avoid having to lug my big jug blender out every day. It’s been great, and has been a hit with my children too.
It’s compact: I can keep the base unit out without cluttering my counters. The bottles fit easily in cupboards.
It’s easy & simple to use – screw cap shut, click into place press one button, unclick from unit, unscrew cap, screw on lid.
For those with strength/mobility issues: it’s not at all difficult to twist/click the bottle into the base unit and the button only requires a gentle pressure. The most resistance is in screwing/unscrewing the various caps, as they have a rubber seal, but it’s very little resistance, the same as your average juice screw cap I’d say.
That said, it is still a pulse blender, so you have to keep the button pushed in for as long as you want it to blend. It really doesn’t need long at all, though; the instructions say not to run it continuously for longer than 30 seconds to prevent overheating but I’ve never yet approached that length of time. I have been using this every morning for 2 weeks now (and my kids every other day or so on top of that) and I’ve never yet needed to press it for longer than 10 seconds. My smoothies are banana, frozen berries (including chunky strawberries), powder and liquid, so maybe if you’re crushing ice you might need to, but it really is remarkably quick and efficient.
The spout is nice and wide and easy to drink from.
It’s powerful – frozen berries get chopped up with ease (something my old-but-expensive jug blender couldn’t manage). I’ve not tried it with ice yet.
It’s easy to clean (see video) – a drop of washing up liquid and some hot water, cap on, blitz for a few seconds and rinse! If there’s stuff stuck to the sides then a quick scrub with a bottle brush is all you need. I’d definitely recommend a bottle brush as the bottles are long and narrow and might be tricky with a normal washing up brush.
I know many reviews have mentioned the cap getting in the way when drinking, but I’ve not found this to be the case. The cap is free to move but you can push it a little further and it stays open and out of the way.
The catch on the lid cap could be an issue – it’s solid moulded plastic clicking onto a solid triangular ‘lip’ on the lid, which means you have to lift a loop of plastic up to disengage the catch. This means it could potentially bend and snap over repeated usage, but I’ve personally not felt it was weak or at risk of breaking. That said, I’m conscious of not being too rough with it.
I’m not sure how long the rubber loop will last – I can imagine if you’re regularly carrying a full bottle from the strap it won’t last forever, but I carry mine by the body.
All in all, this is an excellent, powerful little blender at a great price.
