Sehr schicker und handlicher HDMI-Adapter mit hoher Performance und starker Ladefunktio
Der sehr handliche Adapter entspricht genau der Produktbeschreibung und er kommt in einer Verpackung, die kaum grer ist als der Adapter selbst. Neben dem Adapter ist in der kleinen Box noch ein Krtchen mit Hersteller- und Vertriebsinformationen (U.S. Hersteller, Produktion in CN, Vertrieb aus PL). Eine Anleitung liegt nicht bei, aber die Bedienung ist wohl selbsterklrend. Lediglich genauere Spezifikationen vermisse ich. Die stehen zwar hier in der Produktbeschreibung, aber die hat ja nicht jeder immer berall dabei.
Der Adapter wirkt mit seiner mattierten Oberflche und der abgerundeten Hochglanz-Umrandung mit Metallic-Effekt optisch sehr ansprechend. Auerdem ist alles sehr sauber verarbeitet und alles wirkt sehr robust.
Das kurze Kabel ist gummiert und mit 5,6cm sehr kurz, aber fr meine Bedrfnisse trotzdem lang genug. Es kann in einer Buchse an der Unterseite des Adapters eingesteckt werden, sodass es sauber verstaut ist. Diese Buchse hat aber keine weitere Funktion. Eine kleine Einkerbung an der Unterseite des Adapters sorgt dafr, dass man das Kabel sehr leicht aus der Buchse an der Unterseite herausnehmen kann und eine grere Einkerbung an der Unterseite sorgt dafr, dass das Kabel bndig mit der Unterseite verstaut werden kann — wirklich sehr elegant gelst.
In Bezug auf Performance ist der Adapter ber jeden Zweifel erhaben. Er bietet die beste Leistung die aktuell fr kleines Geld zu haben ist, untersttzt die aktuellsten gngigen Protokolle, funktioniert zuverlssig und wird dabei nur handwarm (getestet mit 4K@120Hz und 85W Ladeleistung an einem Notebook).
Fazit
Sehr eleganter, robuster, einwandfrei funktionierender und zukunftsorientierter Adapter der mit aktuell rund 35 fr die gebotene Leistung und Qualitt nicht zu teuer ist. Klare Kaufempfehlung meinerseits.
Problemlose Installatio
Ein Adapter, der von USB-C auf HDMI umwandelt, und das laut Hersteller in 8K. Zustzlich zum HDMI-Anschluss gibt es dann noch eine PD-Buchse, das heit, das ich auch noch etwas ber USB-C laden kann.
Laut Shop ist dies wohl alles auf Mac und IPhone ausgerichtet, funktioniert aber auch mit meinem Huawei-Laptop; und das sogar sehr gut. Keine Installationsprobleme, keine groe Zeitverzgerung und ein traumhaft scharfes Bild gibt es auch noch dazu. Das mit dem Laden habe ich dann auch noch versucht. Solange die HDMI-Buchse nicht belegt ist, kann ich mein Laptop sogar Schnellladen. Das hat sich dann erbrigt, wenn ein Stecker im HDMI eingesteckt ist. Laden funktioniert dann nur noch im Normal-Modus, aber damit kann ich problemlos leben.
Klein und Handlich
Wer kennt das nicht, entweder die USB-C Hubs sind viiieeel zu gro und man muss diesen Klotz immer mitschleppen, oder man hat so ein USB-C auf HDMI Kabel. Beides Gro und Nervig.
Dieser Kleine Wrfel Ermglicht HDMI Ausgabe und zustzlich noch laden. Und das Beste: Das integrierte Kabel, so nimmt das ding kaum Platz mit und hat in der Tasche meines MacBooks einen dauerhaften Platz.
Fhlt sich leicht an, was ich ausnahmsweise mal in Ordnung finde, es soll ja klein und leicht sein.

Macht genau, was es soll
Quasi eine mini-Dockingstation und selbst beim Einsatz am MacBook hat man den Vorteil, da beide Kabel zur selben Seite weggehen whrend sonst der HDMI Ausgang auf der rechten Seite liegt, meine Stromversorgung aber von links kommt.
Das Kstchen ist kompakt und das kurze, einclipsbare Anschlukabel eine gute Idee.
Ob 4k120 funktionieren kann ich mangels entsprechendem Monitor nicht testen aber 4k60 luft problemlos.
Das Einzige, was ich mir noch gewnscht htte, wre eine klare Beschriftung der Eigenschaften (“4k120”) aber da habe ich mir mit einem selbst gedruckten Aufkleber auf der flachen Unterseite des Gertes beholfen.
Insofern: funktional keine Kritik, der Preis erscheint mir etwas hoch, das mu jeder fr sich bewerten.
Praktischer Helfer für Stabile HDMI Verbindunge
Ich nutze den Cable Matters sowohl an meinem S22 fr DevX als auch am Laptop und Tablet.
Die Verbindung funktioniert bisher absolut Problemlos.
Die bertragung zu meinem LCD-Projektor als auch zum 4 K Fernseher sind ohne Probleme mglich, die Bildqualitt ist sehr gut und Ruckelfrei.
Schn ist das der USB-C Anschluss vor Dreck geschtzt ins Gehuse eingeklappt” wird.
So ist das Kabel sauber aufgerumt und Geschtzt.
Die Bauform ist so angenehm klein das der Adapter gut in der Hosentasche oder der Laptoptasche verschwindet.

Cable Matters einer der wenigen wirklich 48 Gbits USB-C zu HDMI, 4k 120Hz!

Schafft am Intel NUC 13th Gen zum Beispiel 4k auf 120Hz mit dem Thunderbolt Out des NUC.
hnlich wie mein anderer Metalladapter ist dieser jedoch leichter und “nur” aus Plastik.
Daher benenne ich den nun mal “Reiseadapter”, ich nehme ihn tglich mit, weil es total praktisch ist sogar das USB-C Kabel mit einzuclipsen, sodass der Adapter nur 7×5,5cm klein ist.
Das Gewicht sehr leicht.
Preis hher als andere Adapter, die meisten USB-C zu HDMI Adapter schaffen aber nicht 120 bei 4k.
Geschweige sogar nur 4k bei 30Hz, wenn man Glck hat 60Hz.
4k bei 120Hz bentigen in 10Bit Farbtiefe und 4:4:4 Chroma 40,09Gbit.
Die meisten Kabel /Adapter schaffen genau 40Gbit und nur 8Bit oder nur 4:2:2 funktoniert.
Hier mit dem Cablematter einwandfrei.

Samsung Fold 4 is my travel computer...
I use this with my Samsung Fold 4 and use a HDMI cable to plug the phone into the TV in the Hotel room. I use a BT Keyboard and Mouse to connect to the phone for input. Turns the phone into a simple desktop computer with the TV as the monitor. All of my important apps are then windows on the desktop.
My only complaint is against Samsung for not supporting 4K yet when the phone is in desktop mode.
Other android phones and iphones and ipads only mirror the display with this device as of 2023-12. I believe that will change in the near future. For now this only works with some Samsung phones.
This device is not required if you have a USB-C to HDMI cable, however trying to connect my own HDMI cable to the Hotel TV is very difficult and I have found some TVs only have 1 HDMI connector.
This is the second one of these devices I am using, and this one has a USB C connector so I can supply power to my phone while using it as a desktop.
Lightweight and gets the job done
I got this for my iPad Pro 12.9″ M2. Originally I had the Apple AV video connector but I found that it was too flimsy and got damaged very easily. This CableMatters adapter is a lot more robust despite being very light. The cable is unfortunately flat so it cannot maneuver as well as the Apple AV video connector, but it can withstand being wrangled around in your bag.
The HDMI connection works as intended, and it connected to a 4K 120hz monitor (Acer XB273K) and worked without a hitch. Highly recommend.
Handy for MacBook Air Users to Connect to Monitors
My partner uses a MacBook Air which doesn’t have any HDMI ports – it only has 2 Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, so this adapter has been essential for hooking her up to external monitors. She used to use a simple 1:1 cable adapter for the display which meant that the remaining port would be used for power leaving her with no ports left; the PD passthrough of this adapter has handily freed up a port for other use.
This adapter has worked perfectly so far with no issues connecting to her Dell U2722D work monitor – there’s no flicker nor artifacting running at the monitor’s rated spec of 1440p 60 Hz.
It’s small and compact with its built-in USB C cable neatly tucking away so it’s extremely easy to carry around and pack. The trade-off is that these types of ribbon-style USB cables aren’t the sturdiest, so handle it with care if you want this product to last.
At $43 as of this review, this adapter is rather pricey and there are certainly cheaper alternatives on Amazon. Moreover, for that price point you could get a docking station with more ports and features. That said, this has been one of the smallest adapters I’ve seen so far so if size is your greatest concern than this would be the very suitable.

The design is super lightweight & compact. The cord folds into the block which makes it very simple to throw in your pocket, purse etc. The additional 100W charging capability is an awesome feature. At a current price of $42.99 I highly recommend!

Ich habe fr die Arbeit einen handlichen, kleinen HDMI-Anschluss gesucht, da ich hin und wieder einen Powerpoint-Vortrag halte.
Der Anschluss, der mir als Vine-Produkttester kostenlos zur Verfgung gestellt wurde, kam wie von Amazon gewohnt sehr schnell an.

The perfect travel companion for Asus Ally
When traveling I like to bring some sort of entertainment to keep me occupied while I’m in hotels. Sure they’ve got programming of some sort, but I prefer to stream my own movies and shows. With my iPad I usually use a USB-C to HDMI cable which lets me connect directly to the TV, but the downside is that I can’t charge my iPad at the same time. I’ve tried a few USB-C hub/dock type of arrangements before, but they’re usually cumbersome and I’ve never been happy with them, so I thought I’d give this little gadget a shot.
Pros:
+ Pass-through charging worked on both my iPad and my Ally.
+ Had a lag free experience using this on my 77″ LG C2.
+ Other than a power cable and brick, it is self contained if you use existing HDMI cable.
+ I like how the cable folds into itself, and it is nice compact, lightweight unit.
Cons:
– Gets warm after a while. I haven’t experienced any issues because of this, but it is worth noting.
Overall, I’m quite happy with this little adapter. It works perfectly for my travel use case, seamlessly working with both my iPad and my Asus Ally to put my content on whatever I’ve connected it to. For the price, I feel like this is a great deal.
Nicht immer störungsfrei im Betrieb mit Samsung DeX - am Chromebook problemlos
Ich habe den “Cable Matters portabler 48 GBit/s USB C HDMI 2.1 Adapter mit 100 W Host-Ladung, 4K 120Hz”-Adapter im Rahmen des Vineprogramms testen drfen. Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und sicher verpackt.
Der Adapter selbst kommt in einer unscheinbaren Produktverpackung, macht selbst aber einen wertigen Eindruck. Das ist bei einem Preis von derzeit rund 35 Euro (vor Einlsen des 20% Coupons bis 8.1.24) aber auch zu erwarten.
Praktisch ist das zwar kurze, dafr aber fest angebrachte USB-C-Adapterkabel direkt am Gehuse. Ich habe den Adapter fr mein Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra bestellt, um es am Monitor im Bro oder auch auf Reisen beispielsweise am Hotel-TV in einen Computer verwandeln zu knnen. Und leider gab es hier auch gleich Probleme an meinem Bro-Monitor.
Alle bisher getesteten Adapterkabel oder Docking-Stations fr den USB-C-Anschluss laufen an diesem Monitor problemlos. Nur der hier getestete Cable Matters-Adapter fabriziert immer wieder Strstreifen aufs Bild, mitunter beendet das Smartphone auch den DeX-Modus, was mir bisher mit keinem anderen Adapter passiert ist.
Htte ich den Adapter nur frs Samsung DeX-Vergnngen bestellt, ich wre enttuscht und htte ihn sicher zurckgeschickt. Ein Test mit meinem Lenovo-Chromebook erfolgte problemlos, ohne Strungen. Ich werde das weiter beobachten und auch nochmal mit dem Samsung-Handy auf der nchsten Urlaubsreise testen.
Da der Adapter aber letztlich mit dem Chromebook funktionierte, bleibe ich erst einmal bei guten 4 Sternen. Ich werde diese Rezension aber gegebenenfalls noch einmal anpassen, sollte es zu weiteren Problemen kommen.

Compact, works as described
This adapter supports 4K@120Hz and 8K@60Hz HDR for non-mac computers (requires certain graphics card) and 4K@60Hz on mac computers, which is great for professional photo and video editing. I like it that it comes with a 100W PD charging port. The extra charging port would be very useful for small size laptops.
The small, pocket-sized design with a foldable cable is ideal for on-the-go use.
Note: Although the product description says the maximum resolution on macs is limited to 4K@60Hz, I found that some users of similar products from the same brand mentioned that the manufacture provided firmware update to support 4K@120Hz on some macs. Unfortunately I couldn’t test myself as I don’t have mac devices that supports 4K@120Hz; however, it might be helpful to contact the seller with your laptop type and check the max resolution before purchasing.

Compact and lightweigh
The Cable Matters USB-C to HDMI adapter works perfectly fine with MacBook. I was able to connect to a TV at 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The power delivery option gives you the advantage of leaving a spare USB-C port on the MacBook for some other use.
The construction and the finishing of the adapter appear to be high quality. The foldable cable and the small form factor make it easy to carry it along with you.
Overall a great little gadget to have.

Klein aber oho
Der USB C zu HDMI 2.1 Adapter von Cable Matters wurde mir in einem kleinen Karton geliefert.
Das Design ist durchdacht — er passt mhelos in die Tasche und das Anschlusskabel wird gut geschtzt im Gehuse geparkt”. Er nimmt nicht viel Platz weg und verschwindet einfach im Zubehrfach des Notebooks.
Wenn – wie an meinem Notebook — nur ein USB-C Anschluss zur Verfgung steht verfgt der Adapter ber einen USB-C Power Delivery-Anschluss. So kann der Adapter und das Ladegert gleichzeitig angeschlossen werden. Das soll bis zu 100 Watt klappen, mein Notebook hat ein 60 Watt Netzteil, das klaglos funktionierte.
Auf meinem HP EliteDisplay E273q – mit QHD Aufsung von 2560×1440 ist das Bild detailreich und flssig. Auch an meinem 4K-Fernseher funktionierte der Adapter problemlos mit voller Auflsung.
Der HDMI-Anschluss ermglicht eine Auflsung von bis zu 8K. An meinem Rechner wurde der Adapter einfach erkannt und es waren keine Treiber notwendig. Unter Windows 11 konnte ich das Display dann duplizieren oder erweitern. Auch an meinem Chrome-Book hat es ohne Probleme sofort funktioniert.
Der USB-C-Anschluss des Gerts muss das aber untersttzen, damit es funktioniert. An einem lteren Acer-Notebook versagte der Adapter den Dienst.
In der Beschreibung wird noch einmal darauf hingewiesen, dass — bei 8K Betrieb dieser auch durch die verbaute Grafikkarte untersttzt werden muss — bei lteren Intel-CPUs mit integrierter Grafik knnte das nicht der Fall sein.
Leider fehlt eine Bedienungsanleitung, grundlegende Infos gibt es aber auf der Homepage des Herstellers. Viel falsch kann man auch nicht machen. Der Adapter hat das CE-Zeichen — die europischen Normen sollten also eingehalten werden.

Really tiny and cable tucks in to the body of the case so nothing to lose. Power pass through lets you charge your device while using the USB C port on your device for HDMI.
No drivers or setup needed. Plug it in and connect to monitor or projector.
HDMI latest gen and power device at the same time using only one USB C
High quality and tucks away nicely when not using it. Well thought out adapter for HDMI. Great for devices that only have a couple of USB C ports so you can power the device and attach to a monitor at the same time. 4k at 120Hz (apple is 4k 60hz though) is great for gaming or content creator use. 8K at 30hz is not something I can test yet and I probably won’t use 8k at 30hz anyway.
As for charging, this does support 100w charging and I used it with my 100w MSI USB C laptop charging with no problems at all. This is a great gift idea for sure!
Lightweight, compact form with tidy tuck-away USB-C connection cable.
This feels a bit cheaper in comparison to the dongle adapters with a metal aluminum housing that I have but the upside here is the compact form and lightweight portability for travel purposes. If these two factors aren’t important to you, you may want to go with something with a sturdier housing instead of this, as the black plastic enclosure doesn’t feel very high end.
Aside from that, there’s nothing to complain about as it’s intelligently designed with a tidy USB-C connection cable that tucks away when it’s not in use.
Amazing for Steam Deck
I got this for a Steam Deck, to connect to a living room 4 TV, as well a full 65w USB-C wall adapter to keep it charged. This is all plastic but feels well made, and the flexible USB-C cable is handy as it folds into the case.
Note that this dock only comes with one connected to dock USB-C to USB-C cable, no wall adapter. It charges the Deck at full speed with the stock Deck charger, as does a GAN 65w USB-C charger (UGreen brand). The HDMi works well at 4K 60 on TV, though the Deck struggles obviously.
So far, everything works as intended. I have BT keyboard and mouse to use with it, so its a very portable pack.
HDMI works at 4K but I find that in some resolutions, and some apps (like Chrome), along with some random games will crash SteamOS and result in a reboot. Even with the latest BETA software, it may occur from time to time. Other times, the HDMI connection will stop working and I need to disconnect the USB cable. I think this is a SteamOS and TV issue, especially when using a resolution and frame rate, 40hz that isn’t fully supported.
Overall, this is a great portable TV dock for the Steam Deck.
Works perfectly.
This adapters works perfectly. I am able to output 4k @ 120Hz with HDR. HDCP content playback without any problem. I played a couple of movies, mirrored my iPad to play some games and spent a couple of days using it for work and I didn’t had any problem with the signal.
I didn’t test the USB-C for power passthrough at it’s max power but for lower power application it’s able to charge my laptop, phones and tablets. My laptop charge at most at 65W but normally hover in the 45W range.
So far, this is an excellent adapter.
Such a tiny little device!
I know this was described as portable, but I wasn’t expecting it to be THIS portable!
Don’t get me wrong, that’s not a bad thing at all, in fact I want another one now too so I can pop one into the car in case I ever forget my laptop bag or need to play things from my phone when I am on the road.
I can’t test the 8K because I have nothing that could display that, but at 4K both my iPad and Android phone display fine with just the built in foldy-inny USB-C cable.
There is no manual at all, so luckily it was all just plug and play for me. It seems to come with a bunch of safety certifications too, which is great.
One of those rare occasions where I got much more than I expected, at a quarter of the size 🙂
Portable and lots of certifications
Cable Matters is now a new brand and I have been using some of its products over the years with no negative experience. This HDMI adapter is super compact with a foldable cable that plugs in at the back of the case. It protects the cable from transport. It does look and feel high quality and comes with a lot of certifications like FCC, UKCA, RoHS, etc… RoHS showed up on the box but not on the adapter itself. Other than that there’s little product information on the box with no manual.
The QR code on the box does work, and it leads to additional product information similar to the Amazon product page on cablematters.com. I don’t have a high refresh or 8k device to test it, 4k is just fine.
About the size of a credit card
It’s hard to see in the picture because of the angle, but it’s about the width of a credit card and not as long. I’ve used it with my macbook air when taking it to a place where a HDMI cable is available. Like the hotelling stations at work where there is a monitor but only HDMI. Instead of carrying around a cable myself, I just plug it into this little compact box and away I go.
I do like that the USB-C tucks into the device itself to make it compact but also to protect the USB-C itself from damage as I throw it in my bag with other stuff. I expect this to last quite long as it’s quite sturdy, even though it’s made of plastic.

There is not much to say than it just work.
I tested 100watt passthough and it working just fine. The USB-C short cable is flexible and the whole unit seem well made. The integrated usb-c protector is nice also.
The only thing that look cheap is the Serial number label, and it really doesn’t matter, but it seem they did everything else great, I would have went with a different label type.
You need an extra HDMI out for your phone to the TV, this work great !
