Wow! This is an excellent piece of kit for any chef and any kitchen. It’s really easy to use, sturdy and does exactly what it says on the tin. I’ve used it for chopping and blending and it’s superb.
Love the colour too and really easy to clean.
I read reviews on it from other websites and everyone loved it. I do too.
Bought one of these for my small studio flat. It’s great to chop and blend veggies/ fruit. It can also blend nuts into nut butter. However, it doesn’t seem to be able to turn nuts into nut flour, perhaps blades are sharp enough. Great product overall and looks stylish and doesn’t take up a ton of space.
Brilliant!
I have a fantastic magimix blender which does most things but struggles with sticky items like dates and nut butters, so I didn’t want a big expensive food processor. I bought this as a bargain from Amazon warehouse with ‘cosmetic damage’ but there is literally not a scratch on it, the manufacturer box was a bit bashed about but that’s all. It is small, but you can get loads in and it works brilliantly (think I reached capacity today with a banana, 1 egg, 125g nut butter, 50g flour, 90ml honey, some ground almond and a few other bits n bobs but it processed it perfectly!). The only issue I had was I didn’t realise the lid had to fully click into lock before it would work, so spent a while thinking it didn’t work! Small but mighty, already used it loads more than I thought I would.
Excellent product. I could not be more pleased with it. I have two bigger mixers , a magimix and a vitamix, – horses for courses, but I can see myself using this more than the others. It is splendid for chopping onions and garlic, and herbs etc , and , by reason of its size , is very easy to clean. Just a swish of water and soap liquid, wizz around , rince , and dry with a piece of kitchen paper. You can of course put the bowl, blade and lid in the dishwasher . There is a very good and well produced guide supplied , on good paper, and is well worth taking a few minutes to read it, – for example they say that if you reverse the motion of the blade , the chopping function, you can free bits stuck to the side of the bowl, and , NB wash the plastic parts on the TOP RACK of he dishwasher , and they will last longer. One final point ( and this is why I am writing this ) Contrary to a statement in one review, the blade is OF COURSE detachable, it just locks in place for safety and can easily be removed. Nobody would buy any mixer is that were not the case, and I can reassure . I always like Cuisinart products , and for value , looks , and usefulness, they should be proud of this one .
Small and simple
Good reviews in “Which” and so far seems fine. My food processor’s lid has chipped but as I now have a food mixer, I decided to buy a mini-chopper rather than a replacement food processor. Be aware this is quite a small chopper but is adequate for 2 people or to chop/grind larger amounts in batches. It’s not big enough to make a cake but I don’t need it for that. Nice and light for lifting in and out of cupboards, will not take up a lot of space, and is very easy to assemble and clean (unlike the full processor that it replaced). There are 2 functions, chop and grind, so simple to use, and if the instructions are followed correctly, there is no problem assembling the parts.
