    Very sturdy kettle
Had few weeks now so all good, for ever wiping to keep finger prints and water marks off, just using a damp cloth, love the Fact that it’s easy to fill taking lid off each time as that’s what they recommend

Looks fabulous, boils quickly, the window is practical and attractive. Only one drawback. Steam can leak from around the lid if you don’t wait ten plus seconds before pouring. Pain but no burn yet.

    Keep buying it !
Well it my third one though over decades. Robust, reliable, fast, it is what I could say about it. I tried other models, solutions, cheaper that this one… and they did not work for us.
It would be nice if the price could come down a bit and all colours were available. It seems that black is not available at this moment in time.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersCracked window panel after short time in use
Nice looking kettle, but after only 3 months the window developed cracks and bits broke off.
We’re now speaking to Cuisinart about it directly, as trying to find how to make a warranty claim on Amazon is like looking for a needle in a haystack!
So far they seem interested but ask an awful lot of questions, when simply the product is faulty. They asked if we had allowed it to boil dry, which we hadn’t, but yet it’s advertised as having boil dry protection.
Will keep you posted on results of the warranty claim. Otherwise, nice kettle- I’d possibly buy another.

    Perfect!
We bought this to replace the Waring kettle which was a similar design. We love that it ticks all of our requirement boxes (blue led indicator light when switched on, easy to clean and descale, window to see water level, shape like a classic stove top kettle and boils water). We were originally looking for a red kettle, but are so glad we went with this brushed stainless version. It is lovely to look at, and actually much nicer to no have to worry about the colour matching or chipping. It’s a great kettle!

    Fast & Quiet!
Really pleased with this kettle. I was looking for something a little more stylish than the usual jug kettles available and this certainly fits the bill. The Pistachio colour is a lovely pale steely green, it’s easy to fill through the lid or the spout and the fill line is visible from both sides (useful for left handed people). It boils quickly and quietly, is well balanced so pours easily too (no drips). All in all a good purchase.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLasted three years
I was just looking to replace ours that has just started to fall apart and I realised that it lasted almost exactly 3 years. As posted by others – the little black plastic handle on the lid has just degraded over time and the screws have fallen out.

Other than that it’s been a great kettle; looks good, boils quickly and is easy to clean (we have very hard water).

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersLovely kettle if you don't mind changing it every 2 years
I love this kettle despite it’s lack of durability. It looks good and is easy to use. However I’ve had 2 now and I’ve had to replace both of them at around the 2 year mark as the plastic handle for opening the lid becomes so brittle with all the heat cycles it eventually snaps opening the lid. Both times the resulting fragments have dropped into the water and you’re left with a hole in the lid. Other than that it’s a great kettle and would last longer if you just fill it via the spout.

    Good quality kettle
Good quality kettle. What more can I say. Fill, boil, pour, repeat. On that note however if you remove the lid just after the kettle has been boiled to refill it the handle position and shape of the kettle channel any steam in the kettle straight towards your hand if you’re not careful. A little common sense is all that really required with that though.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersQuality Kettle, but can be noisy.
Quality kettle, I especially like the rubberised grip handle, but it can be surprisingly noisy. I sometimes find myself increasing the TV volume if my daughter boils the kettle. Ok, it doesn’t claim to be a quiet kettle, but I swear, sometimes it’s almost like it’s trying to be noisy on purpose!

    Not bad. Howeve
Not bad. However, in my opinion, there is a design flaw in the combination of the over arching handle with the manual lid opening. When the kettle has boiled and you use up all the boiled water and you go to refill it, the positioning of the handle will cause the very hot steam to burn your hand. We started filling the kettle now from the spout in these cases. We have used other kettles in the past that were more convenient than this. Speed of boiling is quite good. Overall wouldn’t purchase this again. But it isn’t bad.

    Great kettle but loose handle.
I would have given this kettle 5 stars as the function of it was excellent, ease of use, easy fill, rapid, reasonably quiet boil. Unfortunately I had to replace it recently as the handle became loose and we were unable to tighten the screws holding it in place, making it unsafe to use. I haven’t noticed anyone reviewing saying that they had the same fault, so I could imagine that this was a one off. A shame, great looking kettle too – and matched our toaster!

Good stylish kettle with a few niggles
I purchased this item back in November 2013. Overall I have been very pleased with it. There hasn’t been any noticeable leaking and it is very quick to boil. Style wise, it is a nice looking kettle. It has also lasted a lot longer (2 years) than the other electric kettles I have bought in the past, that noticeably leaked and burned out within a year.

As with other reviewers I noticed the plastic window cracked but did not leak and did not obstruct the view of the water level. The chrome affect also blistered and peeled at the base of the handle. Now, after two years of operation the heating element has appear to fail. Looking on the Cuisinart website, the kettle has a 3 year guarantee, I therefore am looking to get the kettle replaced.

First one arrived was faulty as it didn’t automatically turn off after boiling and had to be returned back to amazon (free return) The replacement works perfectly and has done so for around 2 months now, not noticed any change in appearance of the metal despite not cleaning it. The button really lets it down as its just a cheap feeling plastic bit that flights up blue when the kettle is on, which is a shame as overall this is a really classy looking kettle.

Would have given it 5 stars but I burn my self once when steam came up from the back to the handle whist pouring water into a cup. You must leave it 5-10 seconds after it turns off to avoid bring burnt which is frustrating..

    Best Kettle Ye
Excellent kettle, very smart to look at, works extremely well, comfortable, to hold, easy to fill via the spout and the windows are very handy to make sure you don’t overfill the kettle or fill as little as you want. Build quality excellent and a three year warranty makes it the best deal I could find. Update Nov 2020 The kettle has been reliable but the fake chrome strip has been cracking and flaking off for the last two years and today the handle on the lid failed completely with the screws dropping into the kettle body, the plastic has deteriorated beyond repair. Whilst a good kettle, fast and comfortable to use some parts are not built to last which is a shame, why you would use fake plastic chrome bit on a kettle that gats hot is beyond me. Apparently according to another reviewer you can get the handle for the lid replaced for 3 from Cuisinart so I may do that and live with the flaky chrome strip, with which is otherwise an excellent kettle.

    Form and function A1
Took a long time reading reviews for kettles of this rotund shape, stearing away from a number that apparently deteriorate quite quickly. This was more expensive than many, but well reviewed as durable, easy to pour and fill. I have also found it easy to clean and it is well made and designed so should keep its good looks. boils quietly and rapidly. Fully won over by the viewing window; I am sure this saves a considerable amount of electricity as it confounded me at first by just how little you need for a small coffe pot etc. As I have become heartsick at the low quality of electrical items, I would recommend buying this high quality kettle and developing a longterm relationship!!!

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersInitially an excellent kettle ... but ....
My Morphy-Richards had started losing its cream enamel off the bottom edge and was looking suspiciously rusty. So after much reading of reviews I ordered the Cuisinart stainless steel kettle. A splendid beast! So much easier to see the water level than with that silly gauge that never worked properly; lovely balance and grip; smart design; doesn’t drip; fast boil; safety cut-out – all you could ask for.

Now it’s spring 2016; the kettle is still within its 3 year guarantee, and I have replaced it with a Dualit. One reason is simply that after breaking my right wrist I can’t pour from a dome kettle any more because it stresses and hurts – but I have to say the Cuisinart hasn’t worn all that well. While the stainless steel is fine, and it works well, when pouring I was being scalded by steam escaping from somewhere near my hand, and the silicone grip got very sticky. Also the silicone on the lid has started to degrade. The windows have distinctly yellowed, and there is a diagonal mark on one which worries me – might it crack, and burst? I hope the Dualit will fare better; as you can see from my other review today, it is beautifully balanced and suits my weak arm very well.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our Userscomes with a 3-year warranty!
I’ve only had this kettle a couple of days, but already it’s my favourite kettle I’ve had in a long while.

It’s balanced very well, pours well. The handle is very grippy, and feels incredibly secure. I had no trouble keeping steam off my hand, unlike some other reviewers did. It was not difficult to remove the lid–the knob is made of the same grippy material and does not get hot. However, it’s easy enough to fill through the spout, which is the way I usually fill these kinds of kettles. The window is large and it’s easy to tell how full it is.

It took exactly 3 minutes to boil the maximum (1.7L) load, starting with very cold water.

It runs as quietly as any kettle I’ve had. (They all make some noise.)

Best of all – this comes with a 3-year warranty. Most kettles I’ve owned recently come with a 1-year warranty, and usually pack in around about month 14. Of course I have no idea if this kettle will last the distance, but a 3-year warranty gives me hope that it will.

I can’t fault this kettle at all–and it looks good, too. However, its form does not interfere with its function in any way. It’s definitely worth the extra money. This is not a cheap kettle, but it’s not crazily expensive either. Very pleased, so far.

    ……………
Okay, it’s August 2016, and it’s still working as well as ever. Thats 2.25 years of heavy use. I’ve just ordered another one to have on hand, while they’re still available. Best small appliance I’ve had in ages.

    ……………
Update: It’s now 31 March, 2018, and I’m finally needing to throw the original kettle away. Several things started to deteriorate late last year (2017). The plastic window cracked (I mended it with clear cellotape, and that is holding well.) However, the lid handle crumbled and I had to pry the kettle lid off with a spoon yesterday. And when I looked inside the kettle I realised that the chrome paint or whatever is lining the kettle is peeling off. So …I’ll now start using the one I bought in the autumn of 2016.

I have to say the electrical connection stand is still working fine, so I’ll keep using that till it dies. I originally bought this kettle back in December 2013, so I got 4 years and 4 months of good service out of it. That’s well over the warranty of 3 years. Still the best electric kettle I’ve ever owned. I’m away to order a replacement for my SECOND kettle, just to have on hand. Great product.

It boils water and it's pretty
My old kettle packed in after only a couple of years. I looked at a some reviews and decided that although this one was a bit pricey it looked pretty. Lets face it – it’s a kettle. It’s job is to boil water. But it does it quickly and quietly and it has a pretty blue light on the switch. Some people have commented that they think the switch is a bit delicate, but it seems sturdy enough to me. Admittedly I don’t have kids, but I can’t imagine much harm coming to it. I guess time will tell, but so far I’m very happy with it

Edit. It’s now over 10 years since I bought this kettle, and it’s still going strong. It may not be cheap, but then given that it’s still working as well as it did when I first bought it, seems to be well worth the investme

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBest Buy / Still a Good Buy 20 Months Late
The electric kettle that I have been seeking. Well balanced, good pourer, feels solid, water level easily viewed, simple lid – no hinge to fail, switch feels positive and switches off without delay, and they have the confidence to give a three year guarantee! Also, in my eyes, it has a simple elegance.
After about a year, small horizontal cracks appeared in one of the windows ( mentioned in some other reviews ). These gradually grew until 20 months after purchase I deemed them unsafe and rang Customer Service. They require the item to be returned for repair or replacement but do provide a free Returns label for their carrier. 12 days after that phone call, we have a new kettle with a further 6 months guarantee ( verbal only ) added on to the original 3 years. Overall, very satisfactory.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersWell worth consideratio
We looked at many kettles before we bought this one and the decision was made purely on practicality. We were attracted by the range of jug kettles on the market but were concerned that they felt un-balanced and as my wife has lost some strength in her wrists safety was a major issue. We decided on the Cuisinart as the handle was very comfortable and non-slip, some of the other kettles of this type on the market had handles which would slip through the hand if not gripped the exactly the right position.
Having use this kettle for some time I would thoroughly recommend it, it is very fast to boil ,though a little noisy, whilst it is well made I would have given this item a 5 star rating if the finish was of a slightly better quality

I was originally drawn to the Cuisinart CPK17U until I read that its light doesn’t go off, even after it has come to the boil.
This dome kettle can be filled via the spout although you can’t check the water level whilst filling as you need tilt it (the downside of the traditional dome design). Having to open the tight fitting lid each time to fill it would be fiddly.
The main criticism is that the viewing window is too large. After water has boiled, condensation droplets remain on the window which spoil the kettle’s appearance.
A conventional narrow, vertical, slit type viewing window would be more appropriate.
