It works - but don’t load it with more than only curtains without wall support brackets
I tried to use it for a clothes rail in my bedroom alcove recess
It will be fine to hang curtains but if you load too much weight On it will slide – be sure, it will scuff your walls to bring it in to place too!!
Instead of returning the item full cos it did fit perfectly in the space when extended – I bought some 32mm wall brackets to support the steel frame to slot in to.
Now I’m happy cos it can hold up to 50kg due to the new support brackets and correct rawl plugs installed (dresses are very heavy therefore this is a bit of a rare job)
Hope this helps
One of the best buy!
Really glad i bought this!
Easy to set up by one person if followed instructions correctly. Fit nicely and very sturdy. Managed to hang pair of pretty heavy curtains in bedroom with no issue.
This is the easiest way to put up a curtain pole!! So simple and effective. It easily holds up floor length curtains with no problem.
I would however advise, when installing the pole, you get someone quite strong to do it as you have to fight against the spring to push the pole up into position. First you need to adjust the pole to a bit longer than the gap it needs to be in and then start with the pole in a diagonal position, slowly push it up until it’s straight. Make sure you read the instructions and follow them to the letter and you will see what I mean. I guess that it has to be a very very tight fit to be able to hole up so well. And if it’s easy push up then you’ve done it wrong and need to adjust the pole to a slightly longer setting before installing.
