As a family we love all the ticket to ride games. They are great fun to play and every time they are played it’s a different outcome. Hours of fun in a box

Bought these as an expansion pack to the already owned Ticket to Ride game. This is a really good game for all ages and gives good knowledge of where cities are. Would recommend from around 10/12 to adult.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this a few months ago after being introduced to Ticket to Ride (Europe). In general, TTR has to be the best board game there is. But this version blew us away. We’ve bought three other TTR versions since; this one, however, is still the firm favourite in my household. We originally got it just for the UK map, but both the UK and the Pennsylvania versions are so much fun! At first, the new mechanics seem daunting. After the first play-through of both though, we found them to be awesome editions. Honestly, if you love any of the base games of TTR & only ever get just one expansion — make it this one!

I already read some reviews which were confirmed by the purchase.
India is kind of boring and it’s almost impossible to have as many mandalas to reach the end goal. We even bent some rules but it was still a dull game.
On the other hand, Switzerland is perfect for 2-3 players when you don’t have enough people for the original Ticket To Ride. It’s very fun, fast and swarming with tunnels. Some game mechanics are changed due to the map design and Alan R. Moon did a terrific job making this board. It’s worth a purchase only because of this map.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersTwo new games are provided by this expansion, India and Switzerland. The double-sided map board opens to the same size as the original “Ticket to Ride Europe” and there are two sets of new “ticket” cards. (For those not used to the concept of an “expansion, you use the playing pieces from your original game, and you cannot play either of these new games without owning the original). India adds a new concept, namely a “Mandala” or circular route between the 2 places on your ticket. Switzerland introduces the idea of city to country (or even country to country) which gives flexibility in gaining routes. There are also minor variations to the “tunnel” rules and locomotive cards. Rules are close enough to the original game to be easy to pick up, but different enough to add interesting variety.

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersAs a big enthusiast for the standard game (Europe), but wanting something different, we bought this expansion pack and haven’t been disappointed.

All it uses from the main game is the plastic pieces to go on the board and the counters – everything else is new. We’ve only played the UK board so far, but it really stretches the game. You throw away the idea of a longest route, but gain all the different technologies, needed, for example, to put down a route longer than 2, or to get out of England into one of the other countries. The result has been for us more thoughtful and strategic play, and games that are a lot closer in outcome (so rarely sure until the route tickets have been added up).

It looks a little overwhelming when you first get out all the tech cards, but given a couple of games we were really enjoying it. If you not played the basic game before, I’d get the hang of that first before adding this one. Having done that, expect to become addicted!
