Hardware gut, vorinstalliertes Win 11 sehr fragwürdig
Um es vorweg zu sagen, die Hardware ist ppig ausgestattet, Lfter leise, und es tritt das bekannte Problem mit der Erkennung von USB Sticks im laufenden Betrieb auf. (Rechnerneustart hilft).
Nun zu Win 11 Installation:
Wer eine Bluetooth Tastatur hat, hat schon mal verloren. Also unbedingt USB Tastatur (mit oder auch ohne Kabel) verwenden!
Win 11 beginnt sich beim Start zu installieren, luft auch alles perfekt bis zur notwendigen Eingabe der Windows PIN. Das entsprechende Fenster, wo man die PIN erfassen soll ffnet sich, aber leider im Hintergrund, also hinter dem Fenster, wo gesagt wird, dass die PIN einzugeben ist. Somit ist es nicht sichtbar. Workaround: Win und Tab Taste gleichzeitig drcken, den Fokus auf das Eingabefenster setzen, merken was dort steht und welche Eingaben nacheinander zu machen sind, Tasten loslassen, Eingaben blind machen. Dann geht’s und die Installation wird fortgesetzt.
Da eine hornalte Version von Win 11 vorinstalliert ist sind sehr viele Updates zu fahren. Ganz wichtig: Vor der Installation von Update Win 11 23H2 mssen alle Updates installiert sein. Deshalb automatisches Updaten ausschalten und manuell immer starten und laufend auf neue Updates fragen. Manche erscheinen erst, wenn bestimmte installiert sind. Ganz am Schlu das 23H2 installieren. Wenn es stockt oder die Aufforderung zum Rechnerneustart laufend kommt, Update wieder deinstallieren, frisch holen, installieren, bis es geht. Dann luft alles perfekt.
Ohne Virus ;-)
Brauchte schnell einen neuen PC frs Homeoffice. Hatte ein Modell einer anderen Firma favorisiert, leider fanden sich in den Fachforen Berichte, dass dieser Hersteller Anfang 2024 Rechner mit Viren verkauft hat. Den also lieber nicht.
Dieser ist frei von Viren (Ein Ma unserer IT-Abteilung hat mir einen Stick zur berprfung vor der ersten Nutzung fertig gemacht).
Das komplette MS Office (muss separat erworben werden) luft einwandfrei. Auch Teamsbesprechungen sind ohne Unterbrechung mglich. Video schauen ist ebenso mglich.
Der Lfter drfte etwas ruhiger sein, was jedoch kein KO-Kriterium sein sollte.
Läuft flüssig und sehr leise
Das Gert macht einen sehr gut verarbeiteten Eindruck.
Die Inbetriebnahme war problemlos. Zustzlich habe ich noch ein Ubuntu Linux installiert.
Der Geekom luft sehr flssig mit Office und Internet Applikationen.
Dabei ist das Gert fast geruschlos. Nur beim Start fhrt der Lfter einmal kurz hoch.
Ich bin bisher sehr zufrieden.

Useful little box
Works well after replacing MS 11 with Linux.
Installed Mint Cinnamon Edge version and all works as expected.
NB: Requires newest Linux kernel to function correctly – hence Edge version of software.
It was so easy to set up and use
This computer was so easy to use straight out of the box and for the first time ever I got a piece of tech gear working perfectly in less than half an hour, it did it all itself really. Absolutely brilliant I will certainly buy all my tech gear from GEEKCOM in future.
Device is showing video artifacts and freezing, after not even a month
The device was initially working great. Not even a month later, it started showing video artifacts and now fails to boot, as it freezes at the boot screen or while trying to load the OS. I reached out to tech support from Geekom on their site, but never got an answer. Never buying from this company again.
Update: After the review, the Geekom team from Amazon reached and replaced the faulty project. It seems Amazon and the site are managed by different teams. I’ve updated the review to 4 stars, and will keep testing the device.

My First review is below. However after many discussions with Shirley from Customer Support and much too and froing. Shirley managed to persuad her bosses to send me another MiniAir 12 free of charge for me to use and see if it makes up for huge dissapoitment. I have not been able to try this out yet to family issues. However i appreciate and want to mention the effort Shirley has went to to reinstall my faith in Geekom and i have to say they have. The service provided insured that the customer is listened too and their remarks acted on.
Out the box a vast improvement from the first one quick set up and easy to connect no connection issues. Easy to Upgrade the storage to what ever you can afford. Overall good Machine Would i recommend it yes if any issues I am confident SHirley will do her best to sort it out

Noisey fan difficult to set up as it kept rebooting itself and not booting into windows. WHen it finally did boot into windows it kept dropping connection to HDMI port tried different monitors cables still the same effect dropping signal where you had to switch everything off restart and boot into windows and few minutes later connection lost again. I returned this item and reluctant to buy Geekom again.)
Graphic problems
Pc was good, easy setup for windows 11 as it was pre installed, quite quick loading web pages and office.
My issue was with the graphics as I wanted it to be a htpc, downloading and playing Netflix and Amazon, it did not matter what or how I played a video, the computer would freeze, updated all drivers via driver genius after a reset, no luck, I then reset again and went through intels site, downloaded new drivers, still same problem!!
Unfortunately I had to return pc.
Good Brand
Nice PC but had some problems with the memory. I fixed it on my own as Geekom wernt all that. Recommend well same with anything it’s the luck of the draw really.

What a surprise – It’s tiny & light & would fit in a trouser pocket lol.
Windows 11 Pro is pre installed & gets updated as soon as its switched on !
All the connections an average user would need – not used for gaming by me but its quick & easy response outpaces my aging Tower Desktop easily & manages all my basic computer skills & needs – A True delight to use & at an affordable price ! Being so small also makes it portable or it can be fitted to the rear of TVs or Monitors & is truly silent ! Very Impresive device 🙂
Excellent little PC
I removed Windows from it and I am running it as an Alma Linux server, but I did have a quick play with Windows 11 first and everything seemed fine.
It runs quietly and efficiently and is surprisingly fast with a decent SSD included.
Great value if you can grab it when it is discounted.
So dumped the desktop and used a laptop instead, that started creaking so I looked for an alternative and this was it.
Well made weighty bit of kit, out of the box it took around 45 mins for Win 11 to load up mess about and be happy.
There is not a lot of bloatware as it’s a straight install.
Performance for most things is quick, boot up is around 10 seconds. And it runs two displays no bother.
Downsides, well the fan which is fairly peaceful comes on in short bursts but as the unit is so small I stuck it round the back of the screens and you don’t hear it.
The one and only C port says data only and I have not had time to see it hat it’ll do.
Overall I can’t believe it runs all my old desktop did. Good value let’s hope it lasts.

Good build quality, no cheap no-name components as far as I can see … all good, well known brands.
Windows 11 boots almost instantly, very happy with performance so far.

Shirley responded to me very quickly and worked tirelessly to try to help me resolve the problem.

An excellent and very powerful mini pc
For the price it’s an excellent mini pc.

I have a NAS which stores my media. This PC has no problem coping with it.
I had one issue with the one I recieved but after hardware scan/debug it reported there was an issue with the RAM stick installed. I contacted Geekom support and received a reply within 12 hours. Shirley at Geekom spent a couple of days supporting me and eventually refunded 30 so I can simply buy new RAM and replace it myself. This only involves unscrewing the feet and taking off the bottom.
Good computer, but not for me
Firstly, I should maybe have read the details more thoroughly. The Computer is a perfectly good piece of “kit”, it’s just not for me. I didn’t realise it was so small, the picture on Amazon is a bit deceiving. There’s no Dvd facility, this was my No.1 complaint, and it was not compatible with my printer. Finally, it being so small, I had a battle with the cable connections. I deducted a star because of the Dvd issue.
Seems a well made unit, compact, silent, powerful enough and expandable.
We got this as a mini PC to help with school work and it’s ideal for that. The unit runs Win 11 very smoothly and is more than powerful enough to run the apps required of it. It’s not for gaming but I’m sure it would cope with some games if you tried but not high-end gaming. It would easily cope with something like minecraft or roblox! I haven’t had to contact Geekom but they’ve emailed to see that all is well and offer support, which is nice. So you just need a mouse and keyboard and a screen for this unit – we’re using a TV with HDMI. Also, its RAM is expandable so should you need more, you can fit it. I hope it lasts many years.
I bought this small mini-PC because my old PC came to retirement age (just the day the mini-PC arrived, the old PC gave up completely 🙁 ). Setup was very easy, Windows 11 is preinstalled, it only has to be customised, anyway, it was easy peasy. The mini-PC comes with a 256 SSD and since I have a lot of films and music stored on my old PC I bought a 4TB external HD what works excellent on one of the 3 USB-connections. I use the internal SSD only for the programs what I had to install and of course the OS. All other things are now on my external HD. The other advantage of this is that I can take it with me if need. (In fact, so I could do with the whole PC since it’s not very much bigger than the external harddrive, but I don’t like to do that).
What else can I say … 3 USB-connections, all work fine and fast; Ethernet connection, what I checked but actually not use; Wifi 5GHz and 2,4GHz; 2 HDMI sockets (one of them is a mini).
All together so far I am very surprised and satisfied. I don’t know about the ability for gaming, since I don’t do that, but I doubt that it’s suitable for that. But for my way of using (office, programming, movies and music) it’s absolutely amazing and worth of considering buying. One last hint: if you would use it to stand on your TV-unit be aware that the green LED light is very bright and sticks into your eyes. I glued a small piece of cardboard over it and now it’s ok. You can see if the PC is on or off on the on/off switch.
I can highly recommend this small PC (but make sure you don’t forget where you put it, you hardly will find it again)
I would recommend for daily use
Very small and quiet. Graphic is nice also as it does support 4k . Good for home and daily use But it’s a little bet slow on windows 11 pro . I wouldn’t recommend for gaming .
A perfect option for me
My old PC had become tired and was not up to spec for windows 11 it was time to look to upgrading. A new processer needs a new motherboard and that requires different grade memory chips too not to mention a new licence for windows11. This was looking to be expensive but then I looked at mini pc’s.
This left me pleasantly surprised, much cheaper than uprading my old pc with newer parts, this tiny machine is ten times faster and with a copy of windows 11 pro installed all ready.
It will fit in your pocket and it comes with a bracket to attatch it to the back of the monitor if you wish.
A perfect option for me and I think for many others too.
Kleines Mini-PC mit großer Leistung
Der GEEKOM Mini PC war fr mich eine richtige berraschung. Es ist mein erster Mini- PC. Bisher hatte ich immer wieder gehrt, dass diese Gerte eine niedrige Leistung haben und deswegen nicht besonders empfehlenswert sind.
Ich habe aber neulich sehr gute Kommentare ber den MiniAir 11 gehrt und habe im Internet auch ber sein exzellentes Preis-Leistungsverhltnis gelesen. Deswegen wollte ich das Gert unbedingt austesten.
Bei dem Unpacking fllt sofort auf, wie absolut makellos alles geliefert wird. Im Box findet man den PC, Bedienungsanleitung, Stromkabel und ein HDMI-Kabel. Mit den Schrauben und der VESA-Halterung kann man sogar den PC auf der hinteren Seite vom Fernseher einbauen. Alle die verschiedenen Teile sind gut verarbeitet und der erste Eindruck ist absolut hochwertig. Leider konnte ich die Aufbewahrungstasche nirgendwo finden, was sehr schade ist.
Der PC ist klein und extrem leicht (circa 0,5 Kg) Es verfgt ber verschiedene Anschlsse. Das Design ist sehr elegant. Das Gehuse ist matt mit einem schwarz matten Deckel.
Das Beste vom PC ist seine Gre. Man kann es einfach in die Tasche mitnehmen. Fr eine Arbeitsreise ist es z.B. perfekt gedacht.
Nach dem ersten Einschalten braucht der PC ein bisschen Zeit, bis er vollstndig konfiguriert ist. Der PC kommt mit dem Windows 11. Man kann aber andere Systeme relativ einfach installieren (z.B. Ubuntu, Android oder Linux).
Selbstverstndlich ist der PC nicht als Gamer-PC gedacht. Fr die Mehrheit der Sachen, die man normalerweise macht, ist es aber absolut ausreichend. Ich schaue Filme im Fernseher, Netflix, Youtube, Emails, usw. auch fr Edition von Fotos und Videos ist es eine sehr gute Wahl. Fr einfache Spiele ist es auch absolut geeignet. Der PC ist auch sehr leise.
Man muss es einfach ausprobieren. Ich bin damit absolut begeistert. Der Preis ist nicht gering (aktuell 339 )… Trotzdem ist das Preis-Leistungsverhltnis absolut fair.
Die Leistung ist viel besser, als ich initial erwartet habe. Nach ein Paar Wochen Austestung bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt. Eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!
Arbeitsrechner ja - Server nei
Ich habe bereits seit lngerem einen Mini PC mit etwas schlechterer Performance als Server in Betrieb. Dieser luft 24 Stunden am Tag. Mir ist bei so einem Gert der Stromverbrauch sehr wichtig und ich habe dies beim GEEKOM MiniAir11 ausgiebig getestet und beobachtet.
Das Gehuse ist wirklich klein und das Design ist durchweg gut durchdacht. Das Gehuse ist matt mit einem schwarz matten Deckel. Es gibt Produkte mit einer Hochglanzoberflche, welche sofort eingestaubt ist. Das fllt hier nicht so stark durch die Mattierung auf.
Das Innenleben ist wenig spektakulr. Es ist eine 256GB M.2 SSD eingebaut. In einem der zwei Slots fr Arbeitsspeicher befindet sich ein 8GB DDR4 Riegel. Hier kann aufgerstet werden.
Performance:
Die Performance ist durchschnittlich, jedoch sehr gut fr den Preis. Man muss hier bedenken, dass die Lizenz fr Windows 11 bereits enthalten ist. Ich habe Ergebnisse der Benchmark Tools Geekbench und PCMark 10 bei den Bildern beigefgt. In tglichen Gebrauch gibt es keinerlei Probleme in Verbindung mit einem 2K-Monitor. Smtliche Ablufe laufen flssig und HD-Videos werden ohne ruckeln abgespielt. Der Lfter schaltet sich getaktet ein und aus. Dabei luft er stets bei voller Drehzahl, wenn er an ist. Insgesamt ist der Lfter recht leise.
Stromverbrauch:
Im Betrieb ohne Last, PC angeschaltet ohne laufende Programme mit angeschlossenem 2K-Monitor, schwankt die Leistung zwischen 10W-12W. Wird der Monitor abgeklemmt, ndert sich der Verbrauch nicht. Bei absoluter Volllast whrend des Benchmarks wurden 21W nicht berschritten. Dabei rede ich von der aufgenommenen Leistung aus der Steckdose. Als Server fr leichte Anwendungen wrde ich diesen Mini PC nicht verwenden. Mein aktueller Server (https://amzn.eu/d/dqrf4Az) luft etwa mit halber Leistungsaufnahme. Also 6W ohne Last und etwa 14W bei Volllast.
Mein Fazit:
Als Arbeitsrechner im leisen Bro absolut gut geeignet. Alle Anwendungen knnen ohne Probleme bedient werden. Selbst als Multimedia-PC vollkommen ausreichend um Videos in 4K anzuschauen. Fr diese Anwendung ist der Stromverbrauch sehr gering.
I ordered this because my i7 computer failed. It came next day and when I unpacked it I felt like I was unpacking an Apple product. Everything about it felt professional. And it is so small but very well made in solid metal rather than a tinny feel. I connected it up and thought the interfaces were ok, though I did buy a 7 port USB hub to enhance it. It is all so neat though, with a couple is USB C interfaces. So I fired it up and set about installing it and restoring files. I was a bit confused at first about what it was doing because it uses OneDrive by default if you have it so that without effort all your files are backed up. Normal this is something I would have to set up myself. I am surprised how fast it is for a Celeron compared to an i7, but then again it is 11th gen compaired to 7th gen. It comes with windows 11 pre-installed which my old computer couldn’t take. For general purpose computing and file management it is perfect. I can well believe it is good for gaming and streaming too. The display is outstanding. It is so good I forgot about the disappointment that my other computer packed up!
I have a previous Geekom Mini PC (IT8, i5 – now used and loved by my child!) but the IT11 is a step up again.
Aesthetically, the IT11 is very pleasing. I have a very small workplace so the option to attach the PC to my monitor is fantastic. It keeps my desk clear and tidy (see attached photo).
The IT11 looks and feels well made and sturdy and is extremely easy to set-up out of the box. Within minutes, I had the PC attached to my monitor (see attached photo) and my Microsoft account all set up in Windows 11.
In terms of functionality, I researched for a long time (with help from my IT whizz son!) and decided to go for the i7 version. I’m impressed; it is incredibly fast and powerful. It is also surprisingly quiet. I do hear the fan kick in when it’s working really hard on something but it’s certainly not at a level that bothers me.
I use the PC primarily for MS Office and Internet but I did watch some Netflix on it last night and it streamed perfectly. My children play games such as Fall Guys, Minecraft and Among Us and the graphics are great.
I am a bit of a nightmare for opening lots of documents and tabs at the same time but this PC can handle it. Everything still loads quickly and efficiently.
The spec is great for the price and I’m very, very happy with this PC. Is it just me who is still amazed by these Mini PCs?!? They are so brilliant!
I’d just like to add that customer service at Geekom is excellent. When I bought my IT8 pc, I had a few queries and they got back to me very quickly. This was another reason that I picked Geekom again for my current PC.
