Good value
This equals 1 a bar and in shops and gyms they are 2.50/3 and the short date is enough if you use them regularly, the date is august this year but that’s like 6 weeks to eat them. I have a one a day so I’m happy to pay a discount.
The oreo bars were purchased for my 6ft4 teenage son who has needed extra calories due to a huge growing spurt. He enjoyed the flavour saying that they tasted like one big chewy cadburys oreo bite. I like the fact that they are low sugar but have a good amount of calories for a snack he can have on the go. The only down side was the pack we got in July goes out of date in August which won’t be an issue for us as he will manage to eat them before then, but if you are hoping to have them last longer than this then it might be an issue.
Yummy but missing bars is a thing
These are delicious like everyone says! Buying on amazon is the most economical way to buy these bars, but I was shocked to find my box was ripped with 1 missing (and I’m not alone with this problem). Amazon did resolve the issue very quickly but it’s something to be cautious about.
As someone who has drank a lot of protein shakes and eaten many many protein bars in the past, I was sceptical to try these. I had not eaten a protein bar in years as they always were so chalky and dry, with not great flavour. Let me tell you, these are fantastic. You’d have trouble distinguishing these from proper chocolate bars, that’s how good they are. Amazing flavour with 20+g of protein in each bar. Obviously the downside is the price. I paid 17 for 12 bars. Which in comparison to buying them from a supermarket, you’d end up paying 24, isn’t terrible, but still pricey for what they are. They blow the competition out of the water so you get what you pay for I suppose.
Oreo bars are gorgeous
Protein bars are normally like eating cardboard but not these Oreo ones they actually taste amazing.
Good for when you need a protein hit out and about without sacrificing your diet.
Like a real chocolate ba
Tastes just like an Oreo chocolate bar thing you’d pick up at the supermarket chocolate aisle. Quite filling and 20g of protein to help towards the muscle building or weight loss goals.
Best protein ba
I was a fan of PDH plant based ones until they changed the recipe. I’ve found these in a Sainsbury’s petrol station and I absolutely adore them. Got home and I’ve ordered 2 boxes. Finished them off in less than 2 weeks. They are not overly sweet and they don’t leave a weird aftertaste like other protein bars. My new favourite.
Grenade for the win!
Cheaper than anywhere else I could find, even against shops with offers on. This is my favourite flavour so I was chuffed to find them on Amazon Prime and at such a good price. They are the perfect snack, covering both my crazing for chocolate with my wife’s demands that I eat healthier!
tasty, satisfying but unfortunately not vegetaria
These bars taste great, not overly sickly and like sweeteners. They take a while to eat so it feels satisfying if just having this and a coffee etc as a meal/snack. Only downside is I found out they are not vegetarian as I didn’t even think to check.
The tastiest protein bars I’ve had
I’ve tried a lot of protein bars in the past and never found one I’ve absolutely loved until now.
The taste reminds me of cadburys chocolate with Oreo inside.

I love these!
The photo shows you what’s inside. You get nice chocolate coating, then a biscuit-like layer of Oreo Cookie (blend of the dark and white) which is lovely and crumbly. Then a nice chewy bottom layer.
If you bite it then just eat the biscuit top bit first (rather than all together) you can really tell it’s like eating Oreo Cookies. I was surprised they got these so good.
Definitely recommend! My other favourites are the Salted Caramel (literally chewy caramel with yummy bits on top under the chocolate), the Peanut Butter and Jelly. More jelly taste with chocolate, doesn’t taste hugely peanuttt but still yummy. I like the Peanut Nutter and for the White Chocolate fans the White Chocolate Peanut is packed with real peanuts on top and the Whitw Chocolate Cookie is good too.
Healthier than a sugar laden chocolate bar, often tastier and I test my blood sugars 2 hours after eating one and despite still having carbs in them my sugars do not go up. Love them! I’m trying the White Chocolate Oreo next.
Great taste
233 kcal is a bit on the higher side for just 20g of protein, you can certainly find bars with better protein-to-calories ratio (including other flavours if this particular brand) but if you want one that tastes like your favourite guilty pleasure and can afford those extra 30kcal compared to competition then look no further.
Sensational

Being a gym addict and continually upping my protein intake, protein bars are an essential tool I use to get my daily protein intake in, especially when travelling or at work.
This has led me to try hundreds of different protein bars, from many brands like Grenade, Fulfil, Myprotein, Warrior, Vitastrong etc.
After hearing about this bar for the first time, I was sceptical of the taste, as many protein products that have branding from regular chocolate bars, generally don’t taste like for like, but boy was I wrong.
I am still shocked to this day how this bar tastes so good, yet only contains 1g of sugar, 233 calories and 21 GRAMS OF PROTEIN!..
Not only does it taste like you’re eating a normal bar of chocolate, with an oreo biscuit centre, but it tastes like real chocolate and like a naughty snack. I have to say, I have tried every single flavour of Grenade bar and this by far tops them all. This bar is also 100% genuinely tastier than all other protein bars I have tried, but still contains a large amount of protein and isn’t full of calories!
This Oreo protein bar has now become a staple in my diet, eating about 1 a day when I’m out and about. The price point is incredible too, with it being less than 1.50 a bar, it is an absolute no brainer!
I even got 3 cases of them for Christmas, as friends and family never heard the end of me bragging about them to them.
With them being so cheap, I would’ve expected a best before date to be quite early, but the ones I have received have had 6+ months left on the best before date, so this is not anything to worry about.
The only drawback of this protein bar, is that my girlfriend loves them too, and always steals a bite…
Overall I cannot recommend these enough, and I am known as being very hard to please in regards to protein and gym supplements. Highly recommend!

Grenade bars are in general really tasty, but this Oreo flavour is incredible!!!
Considering how many you get in a box they’re great value. High in protein, tastes like a normal chocolate bar, overall such a perfect gym snack. I order all the time and go through them way too quickly!!! Packaged tightly in the box they come in as well which is helpful.
10/10 all day long. 100% recommend.
Protein bars are very rarely as good as their non-protein counterparts (Oreos in this instance), and to be honest this is no exception. However, Grenade has done a great job of providing you with a tasty snack or meal (depending on your calorie allowance) that has decent macros and ticks the sweet tooth craving you probably have if you’re looking for a protein bar like this.
Per bar, current macros (as of this review) are 21g protein, 20g carb (1g sugar), 10g fat. My only beef with the bar is if your fat allowance is pretty low, 10g fat can be a little hard to fit in around anything else you might have during the day, so just something to be aware of.
The taste and texture are great, and I like to keep my bars in the fridge so the chocolate is nice and cold.
The current price (as of this review) on Amazon is very good too, better than the Grenade (UK) site, so I’d recommend buying from here, and if you can, do a subscription to save even more money per bar.
They are satisfying to eat, help me hit my protein target and aren’t too bad price-wise on a subscription. Give them a go I am sure you won’t be disappointed!
I will be honest with you guys, I gave up to Grenade protein bars for a couple of years, I just ate them too often and they became quite expensive (locally at Morrisons 2,50 per bar…), so the only option left was to order at amazon.
My favorite Grenade protein bar flavour back in these days was “White Chocolate Cookie”, but I couldn’t resist to try other brands like “FULFIL” so again I went for something I was close with “WHITE CHOCOLATE AND COOKIE DOUGH” and I must confess it was the best (In flavour and consistence) protein bar I ever ate until….
Until one day I went shopping to local BM store after work (to get some protein bars) and noticed those Greande “Oreo” flavoured, obviously I was kinda skeptical so I picked just one bar, and right after I paid (I couldn’t wait, I was so hungry after 8 hours of work) I ate it.
Damn, I realized, it was soo good, and not because it contains actual Oreo (it’s barely noticeable, ok it depends, sometimes it’s more, sometimes less) but in my opinion it reminds me of Kinder chocolate bars, of that white milk layer inside the bar, and I love it.
And the consistence of Oreo protein bar is quite nice, soft but chewy like a decent fudge, and I recommend to consume it slow, whit small bites, because it tend to stick to your teeth.
So now my fav protein bar obviously became Grenade “Oreo”, and obviously I truly recommend.
