This hair dryer brush arrived in a cardboard box. Inside the box was the hair dryer brush and printed instruction leaflet. The first thing I noticed is the brush is very large and bulky making it difficult to hold and turn at different angles whilst using it. Some hair dryers are smaller than this brush, and straighteners or curling irons are definitely smaller and lighter. It may not be suitable for people who have difficult gripping things with their hands.
The hair dryer brush appears to be good quality and robust making it strong and sturdy. There are bristles and nylon pins all around the brush. There is also a switch lower down the brush which has 3 speed and heat settings — low speed high temperature, high speed low temperature, high speed high temperature. This switch also allows you to turn the brush off.
The description says the brush is designed for all hair types, but then it also says do not use on fine and thin hair, so I’m not sure how long hair you need to use this brush. It has a powerful 1000w motor and has a 360 degree air flow with hot air blowing out all around the brush.
The brush is a combination of a hair dryer, straightener and curling iron. You can use the brush to dry your hair by moving your wet hair through the bristles. Whether you want your hair straight or curly depends on the movement of the brush — if you move the brush upwards and outwards it produces volume, but if you move the brush downwards and inwards you get more a straight effect.
Actually using the brush has a mixed effectiveness. The brush dries your hair, but using a dedicated hair dyer is better. The brush also straightens or curls your hair, but again using a dedicated straightener or curling iron is better.
