This one has been working for me, but a friend used a simmilar product (it looks identical but was from a different seller) and it caused her switch to no longer work on the dock or with the charger- she can only charge it with a phone charger now. If you want to send your switch in for repair, you risk voiding the warranty.
I used this for a few days, it worked as intended and was really handy, but personally since I cannot confirm it won’t damage my switch, I’m scared to keep using it.
It is exactly as described, but I am not able to confirm the power level & whether it actually fits the requirements to not damage my switch.
Our kids friends sometimes brought a Switch with them when they came over for a playdate. Being about to dock to charge also allowed us to attach to a TV, making it more enjoyable for anyone not playing who wanted to watch along.
Then, we received hand-me-down Switches with no dock, so we now use it to charge our devices as well.
Includes lots of port options but no cords. We needed guidance from an adult Switch user to be sure we got the right cords. We were told to get Nintendo brand for the charging cord.
Seems well made and was great to bring when we traveled.
This is a nice design and easy to use. It is a great way to help hold the switch while docking it and connecting it to the tv or just as a place to store it. It could easily be taken with you as it isn’t much longer than the switch.
I got this to give us more options for using our switch. Basically we have our main dock hooked up to our main tv, but wanted another option.
This one works great, but you will need to buy another power cord and provide an hdmi cord.
But so far it has worked great and I have not had any issues. This would also probably be great for traveling since it is so compact compared to the OEM dock.
The charging works well, but you kind of have to fidget with it to get it lined up just right. The slot is too loose, and nobody likes a loose slot. Unless you add a rubber to it, but the one I got makes it too big to fit. Back to just a charging cord then.
I am never able to take my switch with me and connect it to televisions because of how bulky the stand is that comes with the switch. I was pleased to try out this item with the Vine program and am pleased to report how great it is. I am now able to throw this into my bag with an hdmi cable and charge my switch anywhere and hook it up to anything. I love how easy this is to carry and how easy it is to set up. I like that it takes up minimal space where you place it as well.
I got the grey model and it has a nice nostalgic vibe to it, once I set it up. Because I don’t use a protector to cover my Switch, I needed to use the rubber pads that are included to properly protect the switch from rubbing against the docking station which proved to be no problem. The Switch easily connected to the USB C male port and could be pulled from the docking station with no issue. The button to switch it from handheld to tv output, worked with about a 1 second delay. I can see the value of it as a stand that you can use to charge your Switch while you play it in handheld mode, but personally, I think it works best as a spare or travel dock. The only issue I have with the product is that there isn’t an included HDMI cable; for the price they’re charging, I would expect at least that. If they included an AC adapter, this would be a steal at the price, but you’ll have to reuse your own or devise another solution. Overall it’s well designed, has a great nostalgic look, travels well, and is very compact considering all the extra ports you get to charge your switch and its accessories.

It’s very light, but it doesn’t seem low quality. It’s sturdy and supports the Switch well. You don’t need to touch it at all to dock and undock it.

It’s low profile and easy to insert the Switch into. This is great for entertainment centers with limited vertical space (photo).

I didn’t expect a full array of I/O ports, but they’re there! All in an easy to access area.
// I Like It!
I can definitely recommend this as an additional dock or replacement for the OEM gray. It’s much cheaper, looks better, easier to use, and works just as well as if you got it from Nintendo themselves.
