Tried a number of similar gels and these are incredibly easy to take and seem to be gentle on the stomach for me. Used them on my last 4 marathons taking up to 7 during the run and they have not let me down.
A surprising number of energy gels have some form of artificial sweetener. This is a problem for me as they always seem to ‘interfere’ in my digestion.
These are not sickly sweet. Consequently very palatable even in hot, dry conditions.
I like them, hope you do too.
Fast delivery
Ordered energy gels for training, realised I had run out of them for training at the weekend. Ordered late Thursday night and they arrived early Saturday morning. Perfect 🙂 just what I needed, very well priced, no unnecessary packaging. Will definitely order from here again.
The BEST energy gels for running
I have no doubt that these are the best gels available.
– every flavour is delicious
– watery texture so like a drink
– easy-ish to open without scissors
– easy to gulp down while running
– no upset stomachs!
10k
I bought these on recommendation when training for and running a 10k. I took one 30 minutes beforehand and then every 30 minutes of the race.
Easy to carry and open during a run, although a bit sticky if spilled. The consistency does get thinner if your body heat warms them up.
They taste reasonably fine, but they are sweet and do catch you in the throat a bit.
Also beware not drinking enough water with these as your stomach will betray you. Make sure to chug some water after the run if you don’t like drinking during.
I normally buy SIS, and still do, but the caffeine version is hard to come by. I tried these, I actually prefer the taste and consistency – Less gel like. I’ll still buy SIS but have no qualms about getting these for Caffeine boosts!
Have settled on these and they have got me through plenty of long runs. They are easy to open and the flavour is good. They are just runny enough to be easy enough to swallow but not so liquid that they go everywhere when you’re running along. Have tried some other brands and they were so gloopy it was like swallowing snot.
Effective and the caffeine gives a boost.
I don’t use these as intended at all!
As a type 1 diabetic I’m prone to suffering dangerously low blood sugar. The quick acting carbs in these sports gels are ideal for quickly reversing that issue. They go down easy and mostly taste great, not too keen on the citrus one.
Bought whilst on sale
These were knocked down below half price so I picked them up to try. Definitely easier to consume than a bar and the effects of caffeine come on quicker than a shake in my opinion.
Taste is a bit odd, not quite orange as there’s something else too but it’s not a bad taste by any stretch. I’ll buy them again if I run out and think I could use more.
Easily take
Fab product to take before , during or after a run . I use these on my Sunday long miles run , helps to give an extra boost of energy when needed . Highly recommend.
Excelle
100 mile ride on the weekend and at 80miles I took my 1st gel and wow what a boost took my 2nd at 92 and I completed my 1st 100. Definitely would have struggled without the boost & energy from this produc
Does the job, great value.
What’s to say? Energy gels, with caffeine. Go go GO! They taste kind of bitter sweet, but they’ve never given me stomach problems or anything of the like (I always chase with water). These were invaluable in the later stages of my first 100Km ultra, when I was almost spent at 70Km and badly needed a pick me up. For a normal road marathon I use 1 every 30 minutes from 15 minutes before the start, and that makes holding pace in the latter stages possible. Cheapest available option I found that does the trick!
