The footage is fair, totally usable for social media or YouTube channel, it's not a professional drone but who cares that's not who's buying it. Exceeded my expectation as a videographer who uses higher end drones for work. This is perfect for what it's intended. Took it out of my pocket while hiking, and captured memories. Easy peasy :)

Not DJI But Recommend
If you are expecting a DJI type drone this is not it. I have several DJI and they are superb but this is totally different. This is for quick holiday video/photos etc. Or sporting shots like mountain biking / running / skateboard etc. Quality is good. Would I recommend it??? Yes definitely but make sure you have the right purpose in mind

Completely caught off guard as to how good this product is, its a camera man in your pocket, I was lucky and finally convinced when it became a lightning deal, but worth every penny with the voucher too. With further updates coming its only going to get better, go on you know it makes sense, treat yourself.
Simple to use Hover camera.
No piloting involved . No complicated set up. Your granny or your baby could use it. You just press the button and it takes off from your hand . Hold hand out and it comes back . Fits in your pocket . Protected propellers. Great selfies and great for vlogs. Essential kit . You could this this plus the Potensic Atom for the same money as then expensive brand we all know.

I always wanted a drone for travel, it shoots high quality video, is easy to use and super light. I travel a lot and I want to capture it. Some places have incredible views that I want to capture, and it’s amazing to be able to do that with this drone. It took me 20 minutes to learn how to use it. I need to test all the features but the quality is there and the results are amazing. This is a really powerful aerial camera that is well worth owning.

Really cool and amazing technology, ideal for content creators
So I’m not a content creator but I am a tech enthusiast and this drone from HOVERAir is pretty amazing. It’s small and compact so don’t expect a large drone, but it’s ultra stable and can perfectly track you and follow you around.
It has several different modes depending on the content you want to create and it takes off and lands in your hand. I will warn you that upon first look it does not look worth the money, but whenever you use it, it justifies the price tag in no time.
It allows any solo adventurers in the world to create amazing hands free drone shots from just about anywhere and the small size means you can take it on long hikes without any hassle.
Legitimately brilliant for the right uses.
I’ve had multiple DJI drones over the years, Spark, several Mavics, DJI FPV, Mini 3 Pro, even a Skydio 2. This will not replace them like for like. But, it is the quickest and easiest to get drone footage and images at a human level. Quality is good, operation is simple and the thing just works. You can get the X1 into the air, get a 30 second clip of someone walking, land it in your hand and put it away, in the time you’d spend waiting for a GPS lock and a home point update on a DJI.
For the right use case, this is simply brilliant!

A few hiccups but all good now
Out of the box and downloaded the app. Wouldn’t connect. Two hours later and gave in. Emailed customer support and received this:

Follow the steps below,
1. Press both the X1 power button and the function button for at least 3 seconds until the LED indicator turns blue, then the X1 will re-allocate to your new cellphone.
2. Restart your Hover X1, the App first.
3. Can you please confirm if you received any error message/ error code from the App? If so please let me know its detailed content
4. If step 2 fails, please let me know your current phone’s brand, type, and system version.
It worked!
Now to get to grips with it and film some clips!
My first recording was in quick time but on downloading it played at the correct speed. Great little drone for the money, easy to use and will be perfect for our upcoming adventures.
The HOVERAir X1 Self Flying Camera / Drone is a really cool and impressive device.
It’s essentially a drone that flys itself and needs very minimal user input to operate.
It’s simple and easy to setup, ideal for the solo traveller or trekker and gives really amazing video footage.
The ease of use is incredible, simply put it in your hand and extend it out so the camera is facing you and it will take off and lock to yourself. Depending on the mode you choose it will either hover in place and keep you center frame as you move or it will follow you around or set it circle round you.
Once your done just put your hand on it and it will self land in your palm. No remote controls, no smart phone apps required to operate, no hassle, just simple, quick and easy drone footage without any of the hassle or stress of traditional drones.
Such a wonderful piece of kit. High priced but honestly worth it for the ease of use.
I think we’re living in future already with this excellent flying camera. I am sure there are some improvements to be done in future but overall I am so happy with this little machine. This is the best buy in years for me. I strongly believe every one should have one of Hover x1. Buy now and thank me later. Highly recommended
No experience with tech required, push a button and it tells you what mode you have it in , push the button again and it will tell you what mode you now have it on……I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed and this has been very simple to use.
Recording speech is fantastic as it cuts out the propeller noise and your speech is nice and clear.
I absolutely love the hoverair x1 as it’s simple to use and is so small it fits in a hoodie pocket and weighs around the same as a mobile phone.
Buy one , you won’t be disappointed!
