I,ve had these harnesses before on my border x lakeland terrier who’s sadly now crossed the rainbow so I knew they were good sturdy harnesses. But I,m particularly pleased with this one for my Jack Russel as it’s made for smaller dogs ensuring a good fit he’s happier with it as it’s easy to slip over his head and as always the handle is a very useful addition especially for smaller dogs
These are by far one of if not the best dog harness you can buy. Easy to fit on the dogs and comfortable for them when using on walks. They also give you good control of your dog without the need for unecessary choke chains.
This is the second one I have had for this particular dog easy to adjust ,and in camo perfect for my terrier ,they are fairly robust so far would recommend sizes over lap a bit but that’s a good thing
Beautiful colours. As you can see I bought 2 harnesses. One aquamarine and one pink. Have had a lot of positive feedback. Very sturdy, and fit brilliantly. Easy to get on and off with just one clip on the side. Was a little sceptical about the fact that the ring you attach the lead to is now plastic, and not metal. But I’ve not had any issues, and it does look better with the black trim. The side clip has always been plastic, and that lasted 6 years and still worked perfectly on their old ones!! Only got these new ones as their older version did look tatty after years of use everyday, twice a day!
This is our second buy of this type of Julius K9 harness for our Scotty dog bitch. The fit is very adjustable and easy to get comfy on the dog, far superior to a collar around the neck, for restraint and control. A great harness. We chose pink this time and it contrasts beautifully with her black coat.
The only query is the the old harness had a metal loop to attach the lead and the new one is black resin/plastic, is it as durable and strong enough, time will tell?
Bought this harness for my 9 month cockapoo. So easy to out on compared to other harnesses where he had to step into. My cockapoo is a nervous boy and hates anything going over his head or around his body but he didn’t mind this harness one bit. So easy to just slip over his head and buckle under his belly.
He does pull a bit and although this harness did not stop the pulling (no harness can stop that) it did seem to settle him down a bit and he didn’t have any issues wearing it. Usually he would try to grab at his harness with his teeth but not this one.
I would 100% recommend the Julius K9 harness.
… for 32 I’d expect a metal ring to attach the lead to, not a plastic/nylon one. The harness itself is sturdy enough, so I’ll look at replacing the ring for peace of mind when the dog gets stronger.
Size-wise, at it’s smallest this is perfect for my 3-month Border Collie, so there’s plenty of room for him to grow, making it a worthwhile purchase.
After trying a selection of cheaper harnesses as the puppy was growing it was time to pay for a better one and this didn’t disappoint. Good quality and much less rubbing so far fewer knots. Liked being able to buy alternative Velcro tabs which were personalised with name and breed.
Perfect for the job! Had used one when we first picked our rescue dog up from the kennels nearly 4 weeks ago, but had to return it as it was only a ‘loaner’. We then purchased another cheaper/inferior harness (similar in STYLE only!) as we could not get the JULIUS K9 in our area; that proved a big mistake & was really not fit for purpose. We then used a ‘standard’ dog collar, but found that overall ‘control’of our new canine friend was nowhere near as good as JULIUS K9, So ordered one from AMAZON UK. It arrived very quickly & has been in use for the last 3 days ..excellent bit of kit! Would recommend this brand to anyone.

(Now 1 year old) The original harness is good as new so we bought another to match – new one slightly different in that it is longer at the sides. It took us a while, the darker nights started and we realised the old one the words Julius and k9 light up the new one nothing! Not reflective!
I, and my dog love this harness. It is sturdy and easy to get on to begin with. My dog suddenly took a dislike to it a few days ago and it did not take long to find out why. The webbing strap just below the buckle was so rough it had worn a sore on her just where it sits. On inspection ther is a very rough piece of webbing protruding from the point the webbing is sewen over the adjuster buckle. I have now had to buy a sheepskin tube to cover this so I can use the harness. I bought Julius K9 after a lot of resurch they are a good product but finish and quality control need looking at. My dog will heal and will need retraining to get her confidence back with this. I would have given 5* but as it hurt my dog only 3*! I have upped the rating as the seller sent me a brand new harness with no sharp endges must have been a one off.

Previously we struggled to get a harness on our pug due to him not liking it going over his head. This harness was recommended to us so I thought I’d try it and I’ve got to admit that it’s the best fitting one we’ve bought. Despite it going over our dogs head the strap underneath is quick to fasten while you’re having your knuckles nibbled. He cannot wriggle backwards out of this when he doesn’t want to do something either. I gave 4 stars for comfort as I’d of liked the strap around the front to have been slightly padded. Overall, I’m glad I bought it and would recommend it to others. Only real downside is the price.
My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has Syringomelia and for sometime has been refusing to walk and when I could get her to would sit down every three steps to scratch. Nightmare.
Her previous harness was meant to be suitable but my vet recommended this one and it’s been a game changer. Not only does she now walk without scratching, she’s running and she’s running so fast I have to run to keep up with her!
I couldn’t recommend this highly enough and my only regret is I didn’t get it sooner. 30 min walks with running every day for the last two weeks and it’s completely changed her little life!
Our 7 month old spaniel loves this (size S/mini). As he has grown we have had several harnesses (this is our 5th), and it’s possible he may grow a bit more. Of the harnesses we have had this feels the most secure if our spaniel suddenly decides to try and bolt after something (deer, pigeon, dog etc) when on the lead. He also seems to move much more freely in this style of harness when off the lead and running. The harness is easy to put on and take off even when its very muddy. The grab handle is great when you do a recall and need to hold him for reattaching the lead, or helping him in or out of the car. Not had it long so cannot comment on longevity, however it seems the best made harness we have had to date with secure stitching etc. If he grows out of this we will look to buy the next size up without looking at other styles.
This is a great little harness, is been difficult to find a well fitting harness for my miniature pinscher but this one in “Baby 2” did the job perfectly. I did have to cut a piece off from the velcro strap at the front to make it a little shorter, but then I just ran a lighter over the edge to seal the seams and it’s perfect. My dog is a master escape artist and has got out of every other harness he has had which was really giving me no confidence with him by roads etc. But he’s never getting out of this. It’s nice and light and the velcro strap is perfect at the front allowing you to get the fit exact, making it sit above his shoulder blades so he doesn’t even seem to know he’s wearing this. Absolutely ideal. It even looks better than I expected it to. Best harness I’ve found by a long shot.
This is the 4th k9 I’ve ordered because they are the best! The price was good and whilst delivery took a while (5 days) it was on time, well packaged and in immaculate condition. Me and Mr Moo were thrilled with the camo design, so much so I ordered one for Mrs Moo as well, which turned out to be next day delivery. Result! Having a special walk tomorrow to celebrate our new look. And no delivery charge with prime. Can’t beat it. The only reason for replacements is the fabric holding the metal pull rings and front strap eventually wear as they are used twice a day for active dogs and chucked in the washing machine (because I can’t be doing with hand washing as recommended). Good for two years hard use and will replace earlier next time. They could improve the fabric to extend longevity but they were looking a bit shabby (sand, sea water, dog fish, mud) so more than happy to get smart new ones.
