It is good however you have to be sure to rest the probe on something not conductive to ensure accurate readings, this can be awkward in some pots but a wooden spoon tends to suffice as a good resting ledge for it.
Alarm is loud, stand is convenient and its very intuitive to use.
A friend recommended this product as one of the best on the market. It’s easy to use & easy to store. I use it to test if the meat is cooked from the oven, but my friend uses it for BBQ’s. Came with battery. Prompt delivery. No issues – would recommend.
Had one of these for years unfortunately I spilt water over it and it broke. So, replaced with the same and works as well as the first. Works well in both modes. Very pleased.
