Great quality saucepa
I’ve used this for several months and am very happy that the quality is great. It was bought to replace one of the same make that I’d bought years ago. When I next need a saucepan I’ll buy this make again. It’s a pleasure to use.
Size may affect induction hob performance.
Whilst it is an ideal and well made little stainless still saucepan this 12cm diameter (top) one struggled to heat up water on an Indesit induction hob. On checking the base and the rest of the saucepan is magnetic but the contact surface is just 9cm diameter which I believe may place it inside the ring magnets on some induction hobs like mine, preventing sufficient heat transfer to boil water. (hadn’t boiled after 10 minutes.) Maybe ok just for simmering sauces or warming something but even that was very slow. For other hobs I would recommend it.
These sauce pans feel good quality, I like the adjustable steam vent in the lid. The lid does not trap water which drips out of the pan after washing up like some do. The pans are quite deep which I like, however this small one is too small for the rings on my hob which means electricity is wasted. It is a handy little saucepan for someone living alone but just a tad too narrow. Washes up lovely, has kept nice and shiny
Excellent quality
I needed a new small pan after welding a plastic spoon to my last one. This is excellent – good quality, sturdy, easy to clean and works on our induction hob.
Nice, but could be better with a glass lid and metal knob.
This is a handy pan for a single person just wanting to boil a few small vegetables without heating too much water. But, from the picture it look like it might have a common type of glass lid, but it is, in fact, a more secure stainless lid with a deep rim that serves to reduce spill overs. This is spoiled by the vent being through a wide plastic rotating flange that opens or closes a cut away in the lid. The pan and lid came nicely boxed, but the lid was not taped to the pan, so, when I pulled it out by the handle, the lid fell onto the tiles and cracked the plastic knob. The supplier was very willing to replace the whole thing, but I did not want it to be thrown away just for the sake of a knob, so I repaired it with epoxy glue for now. If it cracks again I’ll see if I can buy a glass lid the same size.
‘Suitable for all oven top heat sources including induction’: a magnet sticks (image below refers).
This is my favourite saucepan for a raspberry/wine jus, with an approx depth of 5.5 cm (without the lid) and not including the rim.
A nice weight in hand for its size, it sits sturdy on the hob. I find the black handle comfortable and the saucepan benefits from a lever in the matching, chunky black knob on the lid that slides to one side for ventilation.
APPROXIMATE SIZE, based on the one I received:
Inner top diameter: 12 cm
The 3 mm deep, raised aluminium base is around 9.5 cm in diameter and transfers the heat quickly & evenly on my glass hob.
Height (without the vented lid on): 6.5 cm
Height with the lid on (hard to measure): 11.5 cm
The external base of the saucepan is embossed ‘Kitchen Craft Stainless Steel’.
Arriving simply presented in a plain cardboard box measuring around 27.5 cm x 14 cm x 9 cm, complete with use & care instructions (images below refer), it washes up easily by hand and occasionally goes in the dishwasher, with no loss to the shininess, so far.
ooOoo
EDIT:
I like this saucepan style so much I have now also bought the 16 cm version which is (on my measure) around 8.5 cm deep (not including the rim/lid), with a top inner diameter of 16.5 cm
The base diameter is 13 cm

No need to angle the lid while simmering
The slot in the top of the lid can be left open while just boiling reducing the amount of steam. It is not so useful when draining the hot water out of the pan as it has a deep lip so needing to use a colander, an extra item to wash up. Works well on our new induction hob
Finally, a saucepan without a glass lid! The glass lid on my previous saucepan fell onto the tiled kitchen floor and shattered, leaving the remaining saucepan useless. It wasn’t easy to find a pan with a stainless steel lid in this size but am happy to have come across this one which is perfect for my needs.
It feels sturdy and well made while still being lightweight to hold. The plastic handle means it won’t heat up and burn your hands if you grab it in a hurry. I really like the built-in vent which prevents over heating or spillage while cooking. Very deep compared to other saucepans this size. The stainless steel material is easy to clean and doesn’t leave any marks after washing. Perfect size for boiling eggs or cooking for one person.
Good value
Seems sturdily constructed and the bonus of a “plastic” handle that does not transmit head. The vented lid button is also a bonus. Some marks on the inside after first use and wash, but not untypical of saucepans made of stainless steel.
A lovely , shiny Pa
The pot is very useful in size, being deeper than the usual size of pan. The food cooks beautifully too and, it is easy to clean. My only criticism is that the surface marks easily which makes me want to keep polishing it!
I bought the 12 cm pan thinking “extra deep” would mean there’d be plenty of room to boil eggs. In fact it’s just barely deep enough to cover the eggs without boiling over and cutting out the induction hob – you have to get the water level exactly right. Since it will do it with care, and it’s a nice pan in other respects with a steam release in the lid, I’m giving it 4 stars. But I was disappointed when I saw it.
Useless pa
Pan arrived on time and has proved to be useless. We cannot see how it can be described as extra-deep. It appears quite shallow for it’s diameter and is totally useless for cooking spaghetti, or other long Pasta. Return and refund were handled in a timely manner.
I bought the 12cm saucepan. To state it is ‘Extra Deep’ is rather bold for a pan with a depth of just 6cm. However, I bought it for boiling a single egg in, and for this purpose it’s perfect. I could fit in a maximum of 4 medium eggs, although I’d probably stick to 3 eggs max. Air vent works well to release steam. It looks slightly different from the saucepan in the image. Perhaps that image depicts a different size of this pan?
How hard is it to find a tiny pan with a lid? this one in the short time I have had it has been used a lot. The pan lid has a vent which can be opened and closed; which is great for my purposes. I make a lot of herb teas that need boiling for 10 or more minutes. It’s also ideal for cooking single portions of veg. This pan is quality.
I personally use this a lot and will soon be getting another one.
I love everything about this pan except possibly the handle which could be more ergonomic for a large pan (most pan handles have a bit of a curve to make them easier to lift). But it’s ok. It’s a nice lightweight – but not too light. I find most pans this size too heavy as I have wrist problems. It’s a good traditional pan and a good shape to put a steamer on top. The vented lid is rather clever. Because the handle isn’t that ergonomic I still need to use it two handed unfortunately, but it’s the best pan I’ve found of this size that isn’t too heavy (the glass lids make them heavy too).
I bought four of these in different sizes, and they are excellent value. They are solid bit not too heavy, and well made. I like the lid which can be used closed or with the vent open. They are easy to clean, and the service via Amazon could not be faulted. A good selection of sizes, especially the smallest which fits one of my rings perfectly.
A very practical saucepan, especially at the price. We have a hard floor so glass lids are out (who really needs them anyway?). The common alternative – a metal lid with a metal handle – is a great way to burn yourself. This pan has resin handles which are ideal – heat resistant, comfortably cool, and reasonably dishwasher-friendly. I say reasonably because we have cooked with one of these pans for years and eventually the dishwasher began to eat away at the resin. Still, when it was time for a new pan there was only one choice – another of these. Well, two actually. You can pay an awful lot more money for a pan that will cook your food no better (like most good saucepans, this one has a sandwich base too) yet make cooking a misery of sore fingers, hand muffs dipped in soup and glass fragments lurking – somewhere. Thoroughly recommended.
'Wake-Up'. . .
A nice pan, so nice that I want to buy a larger version, 18cm’s I believe but, it seems this companies 10% off promotional code, numbers and letters offer before the 14th of January 2016; doesn’t work…
This voucher as such, was stuck to the address envelope of which I’m quoting from, is in my opinion not worth the paper it’s printed-on in orange. It seems there’s also no-way of contacting the seller so, looks like I’ll be buying the same size pan from elsewhere.
Nothing wrong with the pan, not so for the company, for not honouring it’s commitment.

Graet item to have in your kitche
When I received this item I was initially disappointed due to its small size, however, I have found other uses for it…particularly when making sauces requiring high temperature heating. Turned out to be a kitchen essential for me.
