Works just as expected
I had been looking for a way to mirror an old iPhone on my non-smart TV for ever, this Lightning to HDMI converter cable did the job perfectly. There was no configuration needed, just plugged it in and turned on screen mirroring.
The cable feels well made and should last a long time, I’m very happy with it.
Works Grea
Connected my iPhone to the TV HTML socket straight away. Really easy.
Cables I’ve used in the past required dodgy Chinese app updates or separate power cables.
This one needs neither of these.
Well made
It looks well made, I wanted to use it with my projector but it didn’t seem to be compatible. I don’t think it’s the cable fault, I think it’s my old projecto
Useful for when you find yourself somewhere without a smart TV
Does what its meant to do. The cable seems durable and fits well into device without excess play.
Construction of cable appears durable. Functions without issue
There isnt much more that needs to be said about a cable
Works well with good cable length.
This is a fairly rugged adaptor cable that includes a light metal housing and a long braided lead. It has an HDMI connector at one end and a lighting connector to the other and is used to connect apple products via an HDMI signal to a monitor/TV. I was using it to look at the contents of an iPad with a smashed screen. Although this did work to a certain extent alas it was not to be as the iPad needed an app update for the casting software which cannot be accomplished. I tested it with a working iPad and iPhone set to airplane mode and the adaptor worked well displaying a good image of the screens onto my TV. I would recommend this cable at the current price point.
Pretty decent single cable solution - even works on older devices
I recently tried a dongle for iOS devices that had HDMI output and was interested to test a single cable device. In theory this would be the ideal device to throw in a backpack for the odd ad-hoc presentation.
The cable seems pretty solidly built – metallic caps with braided 2m cable. Plugging in to a device – it takes a couple of seconds to register then the image appears in 1080p – all good.
A minor let down is that when used from a 4:3 aspect device such as an iPad – the image appears stretched. Obviously you can correct that through your TV or monitor’s settings but it would have been handy if it had output at the correct aspect.
I’ve found my old iPad Air first gen quite useful since getting it out of suspended animation and surprisingly it works well with this cable. The blurb states that it works on iOS 15 upwards however my iPad is stuck on 12. The cable is not MFi certified so I’m not sure if this will stop working on some future iOS revision but it’s been fine on iPad Air, iPhone SE 2, 12 + 14.
This is a good solution if you just want a single cable (i.e. keep it simple) and it may warrant the current price of 17.99 if it meets your needs.
