Great looking piece
This Bowser’s muscle car set is a fab add on to the Lego Super Mario range. The set comes split over four bags, and unlike other Super Mario Lego sets we’ve had, this one comes with proper printed instructions rather than just the App. I prefer this, not so much for assembly – but if you do want to take the set back down for any reason it’s easier to keep track of the correct bags to put the pieces into with the printed instructions than using the App.
The Bowser figure is well made, with moveable arm joints, and a code decal on its back (to use this you need the Mario/Luigi figures from the series starter sets). The muscle car is a decent size, and has a sturdy and somewhat evil-looking appearance. The car has an opening boot and bonnet, and a bomb dropping capability.
Great expansion Bowser se
Lego super Mario is awesome series for Mario fans out there. This is expansion set with Bowser itself and his muscle car. Despite small set this still contains 458 pieces and really, takes some time to build it. You have separate muscle car to build as well Bowser itself, it comes with all accessories for him like bombs etc. Set is super colorful and very well printer on bricks. Digital instruction takes you through every step and explains everything well how to build it. For kids this is awesome set to either start with or as addition to other collection especially at this price point.
Brilliant ki
My son loves Lego and Mario, so this is a great kit for him. He told me that it’s one of his favourites that he’s built.
It interacts with other Mario kits, but it’s also great as a standalone. The build is fun and offers just the right amount of challenge to make it fun but not frustrating. The car has a lot of detail and some moving / interactive parts.
The car is pretty sturdy once built and is definitely a set that can be played with as well as displayed.
As ever, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. With around 450 pieces, this seems a good value kit too.
Hours of fu
As with all other lego, the pieces are well built and of good quality.
The age recommendation is right. I got this for my 9 year old nieces and nephews and they very much enjoyed building the set. It was just the right level of challenge for them – it took them a few hours to build the whole 458 piece set.
The colours are bold and bright, perfect for children.
This is an expansion set, and works really well in combination with the other super mario sets.
Pleased with this, and it’s reasonably priced.

his is the bowser’s muscle car expansion set for lego super mario, it features a big bowser figure and his muscle kart; i was so excited that lego super mario now starting to release some product of the mario kart instead of other map or castle adventure
this bowser figure is bigger and detailed than the baby bowser with mario starter course set, of course the best bowser will always be the mighty bowser set
for this set i like the muscle car so much, not only bowser can sit and drive but mario also can! there is super mario barcode inside the car, super good horn sound effect play with the lever
very interesting there are 2 bombs in the trunk, they can be launched with the lever, it’s the mario kart trick isn’t it
also there is another barcode at the back of bowser for special defeat effects
all in all, this is a great extension for lego super mario and i hope there will be more more mario kart expansion coming, like more racing cars

Fun and achievable se
I was sent this LEGO set to try out and passed it onto my son to test it. Here’s what we thought of it:
My son enjoyed his experience with the LEGO Super Mario Bowser’s Muscle Car Expansion Set. Building the set was achievable for him, and he found the instructions clear and easy to follow.
Once the set was assembled, my son loved playing with the muscle car, driving it around and I was leased to see that it really encouraged his imagination, which has been a struggle with all the tech and screen time tempting him recently. The inclusion of Bowser as a brick-built character makes the set feel much more substantial and better value, and the interactive features, such as the lever to animate the mascot, adds to the interest and playability of the set.
I really liked the sets compatibility with other LEGO Super Mario products. By combining it with a Starter Course, you can make much more of this set I also liked the inclusion of the digital instructions available in the Lego Super Mario app, as it is a very visual way to help them build and play — great to have alongside the paper instructions.
Looking at the pros and cons, the set’s achievability and entertainment value were clear strengths. However, it’s worth noting that additional Starter Course sets are required for full interactive play, which could be considered a downside as there is more investment to be made to get the most out of it.
Overall, we couldn’t find any major faults and my son loved it, so happy to rate this set 5/5.
Great build
Our grandson is a Lego fan and was really pleased with this set we got for him.
The set includes detailed instructions on the build, and is a good size once assembled, it advertises it for children who are 8+ .
This is an expansion pack, but can be used as a stand alone play car, or add Mario/Luigi/Peaches to the car, and the car will make sounds and collect digital coins.
This set has a fun aspect to the build as it has a lever on the side of the car, and depending which way it’s moved will either make the front mascot lift, or eject the Lego bombs from the rear.
My grandson has had great fun playing with this set, and although it has extras that can be bought to play alongside, he has still managed to make a great game up.
At 24.99 at the time of writing this review, this is an average price for a small Lego set.
LEGO Super Mario Bowser’s Muscle Ca
I love all things Nintendo so I was so pleased to be able to build this small sized Bowser in his car from the Super Mario lego collection.
Note it’s not the large sized build that’s also available!
This took me a few hours over the course of a couple of evenings to put together. I’m not the fastest at building lego but I always enjoy it and love the end result!

Great Bowser, and quite a big set.
This is a good fun model to build and it is a great fun Bowser figurine. Our son is a little young to build this set but enjoys Mario Lego so I built it for him. It was not too challenging a build and there were some interesting bits with the flat panels on the sides slotting into the arches.
There is a fun bomb ejecting mechanism that shoots bombs out of the boot of the car and jumps the figure head on the front of the car up and down.
The build is reasonably stable, but I have been putting bit back onto it more than usual with his play. The whole of the front figure head disintegrated which was a bit of a challenge to put back together inside the car and Bowsers shell and head keep popping off.
But for a lower mid range price bracket you get a good fun figure and a decent vehicle which has some cool actions and two scanning blocks (one on Bowser and one under his seat which will ping when Mario is sat inside the car and the boot has ejected its payload)
A fund build, and a great toy once built.
This is a really fun build. The instructions are clearly printed and easy to follow and the pieces are all machined perfectly and fit together with ease while giving a strong build. This kit is really good because after it has been built it continues to be fun as it is a fully functional toy. It is an expansion set but still fun on its own, Bowser fits in the driver’s seat to explore anywhere you want to, you can fire bombs and you can move the hood figure up and down by moving the leaver. If you have and of the following Lego interactive figures ( Mario figure (71360), LEGO Luigi (71387) or LEGO Peach (71403), they can drive the car instead of Bowser with full sound effects. There are 458 pieces to this kit and lots of fun to put together.
Fun build, unique parts
Exceptionally fun build, easy but has a lot of parts.
Sadly most of the parts are unique so I don’t think you’ll get much re-use out the kit.
However the kit works well and looks great, bowser is scary and he can move his arms and shell.
Took a few hours to build, would recommend!

This LEGO Super Mario Bowser’s Muscle Car Expansion Set is a fun set for gamers and an enjoyable build.
The set is aimed at children aged eight plus and has 458 pieces. It is easy to follow the instructions and whilst some children might need help because of some of it being a little fiddly it’s not too bad.
The pieces are brilliant quality as you’d expect from the Lego brand and the Bowser design looks so realistic compared to the video game. Once built the fun continues with the ability to drive the car and fling bombs which the children love.
We think this is a brilliant set and a great option for Mario fans. It’s not too badly priced for what it is either.
Nice expansion set but make sure you have starter set first...
This Super Mario set comes with easy to follow instructions as you come to expect from the leading brand. Everything goes together perfectly! This is the Bowser’s Muscle Car Expansion set, and as it’s an expansion you will need one of the starter course sets. It can still be built and played with without the starter set but you won’t get the interactive options. In my opinion it’s only really worth it if you have one of the starter options first.
Also Worth It Standalone
I think this is fun, cool-looking car that is satisfying to build. It’s not the simplest set, with 458 pieces, so for the youngest kids, you might want something a little simpler.
I love the purple colour of the car. I think Bowser looks fantastic and impressive in person. And I really love the handle on the car. If you push it one way, the car’s bonnet pops open. But even better, push it the other way, and two bombs drop out of the back of the car!
Although this set is an expansion that interacts with Starter Course sets, I think it’s still fun standalone. And as with all Lego sets I’ve built over many years, the build instructions are excellent, and the bricks are nearly indestructible.

This set comes boxed with 458 building pieces in 4 different numbered bags and is suitable for ages 8 and above.
No Super Mario is included in the box.
Included in the box is step by step colourful and illustrated guide for you to follow.
There is a lot of interesting pieces to fit together and some of the images look quite complex for an 8 year old but quite capable with concentration.
In total there is 107 steps to follow before finally getting your amazingly finished Bowser car.
Brilliant bowser birthday lego
Got this for my nephew for his birthday as he loves Lego and loves Mario.
This set is excellent. My nephew is 9 and he was well excited when he opened this. It took him around an hour and a half to put together and had immense fun playing with it. There’s a neat lever at the front of the car that you can pull to lift the bonnet. If you push it the other way, the back opens and will drop out the Lego bombs.
The Bowser character looks awesome and fits into the car perfectly. My nephew now can’t wait to get the Mario character to go with this set.
Overall, I’m really happy with this Lego set. It looks really awesome, was fun to build and is fun to play with and the fact that you can add extra kits to expand it just extends the future fun.
Hours of entertainme
This is another brilliantLego set from a brand I always associate with excellent quality.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and it took us a leisurely 2 hours to build. The end result provides hours of play and entertainment; what’s not to love?
I think it’s pretty reasonably priced for a decent size Lego set.

Can be played with as a standalone kit, good detail to build
This is recommended as an add-on kit for other Mario sets but it can be built and played with as a standalone set, however the instructions say ‘For interactive play, one of the Starter Course sets is needed, featuring the LEGO Mario figure (71360), LEGO Luigi (71387) or LEGO Peach (71403)’ so the features and play-ability will be reduced if it’s not used with one of them.
The car and figures are great fun to build – there’s plenty of detail built in, as expected from Lego, and the yellow lever has a few uses, which I won’t spoil here but you an find out when you build your own.
Overall, a fun build, excellent instructions as always and one my nephew loved building but now wants all the other sets for the interactive play!

We found this a really fun set to build. There is a detailed instruction leaflet that takes you through all of the steps in an easy to follow format; okay, we still had a couple of wrong turns, but fewer than usual and these were easily rectified.
The set includes the car and Bowser model; Mario is not included and you will need to combine with other sets in the series to get that. The Bowser model and car are self-contained though and are fun on their own, with an opening boot and functional gear stick.
It is a straightforward build overall and takes around an hour to 90 minutes to complete. Aimed at those eight years and over, but avoid under threes given the size of the parts.
A good quality product as you would expect from Lego.
It comes in a sturdy box which won’t easily get damaged in transit. Full instructions are included which are easy to follow; there is also a digital version available. The model once is interactive which gives additional scope for imagination and play. A really nice expansion set with lots of scope for dexterity in building and imagination in play.

I already own a starter course and a couple of expansion sets, and was keen to get this particular set which is Bowsers muscle car expansion set to add to my collection.
This is an outstanding build of 458 bricks, which are typically well made and fit together tightly.
The finished car moves smoothly, and has a lever which will fling bombs!
The Bowser figure can be built and has an action tag for interactive play.
The build is aimed at 8 years plus and I’d think that’s about right, but we had a couple younger and a couple older. That’s the main reason I love LEGO builds, they bring everyone together, old and young, to create.
This expansion set works perfectly with our starter course set, and adds another fantastic interactive adventure to the course, which I feel is very collectible.
I would definitely recommend it, in my opinion, it’s good value for money and well made.
