      Solid but not exceptional
      Bought this for 50 so bearing that in mind it’s ok, I’d take the claims of blistering range everywhere with a pinch of salt but for the me gain over the wretched Plusnet router is (fingers crossed) no dropouts, and I’ve a few devices that lose their tiny IoT minds if signal drops, note I’m using the Linksys like a repeater. DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THE APP! Every time I open it it can’t find the router even when I’m listening to music streaming from the router!

      Easy to set up and good signal
      Bought as replacement to the shockingly bad and unreliable Virgin Media router. Tips, buy an extension cable in advance. Turn on router, set up new wifi network, make sure all it working ok, then change virgin router setup to router only [reckon only way to change this now is to reset virgin router if wrong]. Also your TV and any other plugins to eg virgin router wont work even by cable, so will only work by wi-fi to the new linksys wifi [ i assume you will change the name and codes]. Easy to set up, but there will be workarounds in the end. Also dont be put off by the 2 bedroom claim on the package, this as someone has said is obviously for US oversized housed and is great for my 4 bed UK detached house.

      At 47 you cannot ask for more.

      The signal seems stable and not disconnecting your devices like other routers.

      The speeds on single for me are limited because I am using them with a 5G router as WAN but
      they go up to 400Mbps with 10m distance or up to 300Mbps when using the second one in Mesh .

      The application setup is a bit annoying including the one light notification but you can also manage it via web if you look down on the setup page.

      A two piece mesh setup costs under 100 now and is the best setup.

      I replaced the Google Nest Wifi that was always going below the 300Mbs speed.

      Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGood for Ultra High Speed Broadband but Tricky Set Up
      I bought this as I had ultra high speed broadband installed at 400 mbps. My old router couldn’t handle these speeds.
      Be aware that this is not plug and play. You have to read the manual carefully to get the maximum out of the router. This is especially true of the automatic selection of Wi-Fi networks, 2.4ghtz or 5.0ghtz. I found it was connecting equipment at the lower speeds which were capable of running at the higher speed. Therefore I had to set up 2 different networks to connect equipment to the 5ghtz network. The speed difference was remarkable. This was especially true of the NowTv Roku box.
      I would make a couple of comments about ultra high speed broadband. Firstly your equipment may not be capable of running at anything higher than 50 mbps – as I found out. Secondly wireless connections will not run at anything like hard-wired connections. My phone will wirelessly connect at about 250 mbps but my hard-wired PC connects at over 400 mbps. Certainly not shabby but significantly lower than my PC.
      Overall this is a good router providing you read the manual first!

      Robust router.
      Solid software. You can have access to your router from everywhere. You just download the app and manage your router / connected devices on the go. How cool is that!
      WiFi is strong. Not the strongest you can get but it’s really solid. It’s worth to keep your antennas in different directions to achieve the best results.
      Very responsive, no buffering etc.

      I have it connected to a Openreach modem Huawei MT992 (G-Fast).
      EE Fibre Max 100.

      I am getting constant max speed with it.
      I do recommend you split your WiFi into TWO separate bands. 2.4GHz and 5GHz so it’s easier to connect some of your smart devices which requires 2.4GHz.

      You will also get better performance by splitting the WiFi into 2 bands instead of one universal / mixed one.

      I do really recommend this router. Good piece of kit and incredible value for the money.

      Got it for about 60 because the box was damaged slightly. Easy to set up and a massive improvement on my Virgin Hub 4. It gives usable signal throughout the house (a largish 4 bed) and full 220mb in the same room.

      WiFi great.
      Mesh works great
      Interface is ok. Could have more options but can’t complain. Everything is super basic layout. Even non techie would understand after watching 5 min of YouTube video.

      Value for money. 5 stars.

      Finally, full speed WiFi 6 everywhere, 3 routers cover 4 bed house, and garden all with 60Gbps speed (which is the fasted I can get as that’s my line speed, at least till I get fibre). Samsung S21 and Tab S7+ switches automatically as I walk about. App is also easy to use.

      If you look for a good stable router this one is rock solid , which for the time (working from home ) is very important.
      WIFI signal is average
      web interface very limited for average joe
      no vpn support
      in comparison with my GL iNet Router with Open Wrt the MR7350 is very limited

      i will definitely buy another one if i can find for the same price to do a mesh Velop Wi-Fi system

      Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGood performing route
      I had opted for this Linksys MR7350 to future proof my setup, after a lot of research and two wrong purchases ( both returned ) I have got it right with this router. I have been using VM Hub3 with mixed results, I only had a drop-in wifi signal in the kitchen and a back bedroom upstairs, so not too bad.
      I ordered this router on its own to set up and see how many nodes I might have to purchase after, well the answer is I do not need any, I am getting over 200 Mbps in every room in a three-bedroom house, obviously pleased with that.
      The setup using the app was not as easy for me as I would have liked, but that was me getting frustrated and rushing. I put the Hub3 into Modem mode, but the router could not connect to the internet, so I changed the hub3 back to router mode, unticked both wifi settings to make sure there were no conflicts, later on, saved the settings, and turned it back to Modem mode, reset the Linksys back to factory setting and started again and that did the trick set up the first time of asking.
      I am very pleased with this router, wifi 6 for the future, at a decent price.
      I would recommend you do as I did, do not order any nodes until you see how this performs on its own, it could potentially save you a lot of money.
      Quick update, I prioritised Shield TV, my mobile and a tablet, and I immediately noticed a drop in WiFi speed, so unprioritised them and my Mbps went back to over 200 again so will not be bothering prioritising anything again, just my observation, does not mean that it will have a negative impact on your setup.

      Ideal as a Parent Node for Velop system.
      This is one of the best routers I have seen in a long time, good small size , enough Ethernet ports, and most of all, has the Mesh Wifi functionality to work with Linksys Velop. it is ideal to be used as a Velop Parent Node .
      Highly recommended..

      Everything is good but the issue I have is the range it says it covers a 1-2 house it does not cover 3/4 and it is in the centre of the house.

      Superfast WiFi for my Virgin Broadband.
      This thing is awesome. I have virgin at home with 500mbps broadband but the only devices that have been able to fully utilise that speed are the one’s that are hardwired in. This router finally allows me to utilise those speeds over WiFi which is something I couldn’t do before. I used the mobile app to install and set mine up and it was fairly straightforward. WiFi signal and throughout performance are great. I’m moving to a 1Gbps broadband package soon so fast WiFi will be more essential than ever.

      WIFI 6 is what we needed
      I recently upgraded my network card to WIFI 6 one for better performance and needed a matching router that can enable the speeds and technologies needed to fully benefit from WIFI 6. This one does the job perfectly. For those who don’t know the difference between WIFI 5 and WIFI 6 just imaging a 3.5 Gbps (WIFI 5) versus 9.6 Gbps (WIFI 6).

      Of course I would never reach a speed of 3Gbps in my house, but does that mean that 9.6Gbps is an overkill? Most likely not. This is mainly because from a hardware point of view that 9.6 Gbps would mean more speed allocations to devices. So instead of distributing 3.5 on, say, 10 devices around the house, which results in 350mbps each, you will end up with 960mbps allocated to each device. This doesn’t mean you will get higher speeds by default, as it depends on your network and bundle, but it rather means your device will be ready to accommodate any speed flawlessly.

      If I count the number of smart devices, lights, speakers, and gadgets that use wifi around the house concurrently it would be countless. This Linksys WIFI 6 equipped router excels at managing a spectrum of devices simultaneously without loosing signal or strength of the network.

      For optimal performance, not only the router should be equipped with WIFI 6 but also the devices connected to it. Of course you can still use your old devices with no issue but the ultimate and most convenient speeds would occur if the whole network is wifi 6.

      I witnessed signal increase using this router. I have 2 dead zones that we struggled with in the past and made us use loads of ‘cheap’ extenders. The extenders worked for a while before dropping again or ceasing to function. I am happy that this router manages to reach those dead zones and it made me ditch the extenders (except my mesh which I didn’t ditch cause I like it).

      All in all, if you want to eliminate dead zones for a small house, get this router. If the house is big get a mesh or two, or depending on how big the house is. Does this work better than standard routers? definitely Yes. Does it make a difference in coverage, Yes. Does it increase speeds? It depends on your devices and network provider.

      Easy set up and speeds up internet a lot.
      We live in the middle of nowhere and the WiFi can be hit and miss. This router really does work and giving it that extra boost when streaming and gaming. Whereas before it would take a few seconds to load up pages now it’s instant.

      The set up was so easy and I had no idea what I was doing, the instruction are great and it was no headache at all.
      Would highly recommend.

      Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersA Perfect Improvement when using a Virgin Media Super Hub 3
      I’m creating this review specifically for those of us who are in the UK, have a Virgin Media Broadband connection and have recently had an “upgrade” from a Super Hub 2 to a Super Hub 3. When I upgraded to the 350Mbps package, I was sent the Super Hub 3 and in my home, for Wireless connectivity at least, this was a huge backwards step in terms of range and black spots. I bought a standard Wireless expender to try and help out with some of the extremities of the house, but that didn’t really work, so I then started looking for a Mesh based router and settled on the Linksys MR7350.

      The box states that this “covers homes with up to 1-2 Bedrooms” but I think that is based on the larger US homes as in my house, an Edwardian 3 bedroom Terrace with Kitchen extension on the back, I have pretty much full coverage throughout the house.

      It uses Mesh technology, so you only set up a single SSID, not one for 2.4GHz and another for 5GHz. The router and device negotiate the best signal for where it is located in the house. With this type of technology, even in my Bathroom, which is the absolute opposite side of the house from the router (and through a couple of thick walls) I still get a 40Mbps connection. If you do find you need an extra boost to the extremities of your property, you can add any other Linksys Velop device and it will extend the Mesh and the device will seamlessly connect to the strongest signal.

      The only strange part of this system is that you CANNOT configure the Router using a Web Browser, you are required to use an Android/IOS phone app, so if you don’t have a smart phone, look at something else. (Edit: There is actually a web GUI, but Linksys don’t make it easy for you to find)

      For me at least, it was a great purchase and it’s improved the Wifi to such an extent, that I’m removing some of the Powerline adapters that I was using until now.

      Made a big difference
      This router was a lifesaver for me and the family. Previously although there was nothing wrong with my WIFI it was very hit and miss.

      Came packaged to a high standard ensuring everything was kept unbroken.

      Firstly I was amazed to how simply the device was set up. Use the Linksys app and you will be set up within 10 minutes.

      Nice simple design can fit probably anywhere, I keep mine above the tv box and doesn’t look out of place at all.

      I am a gamer so decreasing internet speeds or the internet breaking off for even a second as been an everlasting issue. I would like to say though this has resolved my issue fixing my disadvantage to friends whilst gaming! Although I am uncertain to as of the problem previously my wifi was a bit hit and miss. Some days maintaining a high connection and others being very poor. If you have a similar issue I think this can for sure fix it.

      Price is costly but in this day and age where internet is such a must you can see why. Mine is the MR7350 model and works wonders, couldn’t imagine to going back to not having it.

      Top quality piece of technology and I was actually surprised to see how much of a difference it made to the WIFI in my house. It is also an easy set up which is great.

      I would certainly recommend this.

      Amazing Improveme
      I don’t have a clue about this kind of thing so my partner set this up but said it was pretty straight forward/fuss free with the APP so very happy on that front. It’s not cheap but if you have issues in your area with the Wi-Fi or bulking under the strain of lots of devices in a busy household it;s definitely worth it, especially if you’re now working from home a lot as many of us are – ours wasn’t terrible but the improvement with this is immense and would 100% recommend as couldn’t be happier with it and the improvement.

      Just What the Doctor Ordered! **AND** The MX12600 Velop Tri-band Mesh WiFi 6
      **Scroll down to the bottom for a look at the MX12600 Whole Home mesh WiFi System (AX4200) – The most stable upgrade so far**

      We have tried a number of mesh WIFI in our dead zone-prone home.

      Due to our work, we need to have a strong WFI connection to not only deliver super fast speeds but also to switch to VOIP calls, as the reception has a tendency to drop our sporadically, because of our location.

      Our past attempts at purchasing equivalent models have failed, with either delivery slow speeds, incompatible with our ISP, limited adaptability or that it would suddenly seize under the pressure of it ill-designed perceived workload.

      This one by Linksys, is EXACTLY what I’ve been searching for. It ticks all the boxes – and then some. Yes, it’s not the cheapest on the market, the ones i’ve used thus far were of a similar price too, so admittedly, I didn’t have high hopes, but out of sheer desperation, I opted to try it. The difference with this product, compared to its’ competition, is that it actually did MORE than I expected.

      I will be buying a further unit from Linksys with my new found realisation – for the price, it actually delivers. We need further coverage for our larger home, whilst this supports 1-2 rooms, it delivers on this.
      I am able to pair this to another unit of the same brand to cover the entire home and finally eliminate deadzones for good. Which BT continue to tell me I don’t have through their automated online system. I do. Their WIFI support discs have not done enough to resolve the shortfall.

      This kit has resolved deadzones and coverage in our most affected room, as per it’s limitations of 1 to 2 rooms. The room is quite large. Coverage is vastly superior to BT, even with the discs BT offered. Setup was quick and hassle-free. It also allows parental controls, a good degree of support, as well as device prioritisation.

      I for one, will be buying anther Linksys to cover our entire home. You could, if you wanted to, buy a few nodes to lessen the costs – instead of purchasing a second router to pair.

      Overall, a well built and solid investment to future-ready our home.
      5 stars

      . MX12600 Velop Tri-band Mesh WiFi 6 System

      Easy to set up and the performance is far better than previous VELOP systems I have used.
      The WiFi range is pretty awesome and extends far beyond my property, so that I am still able to connect to it when on a walk in the country near our home within reason. All my devices connected without error and thats a substantial load! The speeds are very good and the connection is faultless.

      Pros:

      * Installation was straightforward
      * VERY wide coverage area
      * Solid performance and range without a hitch
      * Superb selection of ports

      Cons:

      * Eye-wateringly expensive
      * Doesn’t support 160MHz channel bandwidth
      * Doesn’t provide malware protection
      * Large unattractive nodes

      It’s not as feature-rich as the Asus ZenWiFi but it is a serious contender for wide area coverage. If the size of the nodes aren’t too much of an issue for you.

      Just squeezes out 5 stars for me.

      Reliable router, with better-than-expected coverage
      I’m reviewing the AX1800 version of this router here, which is listed amongst several much more advanced and expensive routers in Linksys’ range. My comments here apply to the AX1800 and may not be applicable to the others.

      This is a fairly straightforward router design. I quite like the meshed frontage and the rectangular ‘bunny ears’ antennae, but in the corner of a room it will hide itself fairly effectively. The light on the front is nicely discreet and it has been designed not to attract attention.

      It’s nicely presented. The inclusion of a Cat.5e cable seems a bit cheap and a documentation CD-ROM, despite seeming dated, does make sense if you have no internet access at all. For a fresh set-up, the Linksys app is alright- walking you through the process in a series of sensible steps that’s a nice balance, not too technical, not too dumbed down- but it is a little geared towards brand new set-ups and I would’ve welcomed more tailored instructions and opportunities to set it up within an existing system, as there’s some assumptions made in the app about how your data workflow will be that won’t apply to everybody.

      The AX1800 is pitched as “covers homes with up to 1-2 bedrooms” and this seems to be doing it a little disservice. In our long but thin house, I was able to get a signal from it from both ends of the house, and with diminishing returns, even in the garden too. Of course performance will be affected by physical circumstances as well as the quality of the internet connection being fed into it, but I was very satisfied with this, and as an extender to an existing set-up or for a small flat, the coverage is clearly going to be adequate. I should mention that I don’t have to tech to push the WiFi 6 fully yet unfortunately, but it is reasonably well future-proofed in that regard.

      In the short term this will work fine as a way to control my kids’ access to WiFi- cutting them off at scheduled times via Alexa, without losing internet for myself- though they don’t know about that yet, and I think my problems with this will be more argumentative and less technical!

      A reliable if unremarkable router from a reliable brand.

      Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersVirgin Fibre Game Change
      Update: Please be aware this ONLY works with Alexa in the United States. The rest of my original review below still holds true though…. As you can see from my photo the Linksys app itself is very easy to use to pause a connection; you just can’t say “Alexa, pause WiFi for Janes iPad” in the UK.

      Original Review

      A Virgin Fibre Hub3, now lying flat on its side in a corner on the carpet. Happily basking in its retirement as a modem. The Linksys MR7350 now sitting gracefully atop said Hub3, shining in WiFi6 Mesh glory!

      So we’ve had the Fibre M350 package from VM for a while now and broadband speeds were up and down and WiFi connections sketchy and terrible beyond the adjacent rooms. A real bug but never enough to quite do anything about it until the boys grew up enough to have their own tablets and xboxes. And Firesticks. None of which would reliably connect from their rooms.

      While searching for a solution I am full glad that I found this Linksys router.

      Step 1: log in to your Hub3 and set it to Modem Only mode.
      Step 2: connect the Linksys MR7350 to the now modem using the included cable (and correct port).
      Step 3: download the Linksys app on your phone and go through the easiest WiFi setup ever.
      Step 4: connect all your devices to your beautiful new WiFi.

      The router now consistently reports the full 380Mbps from the VM M350 plan which is just over average AND all 14 WiFi connected devices report SpeedTest results of 80-100Mbps throughout the house.

      Amazing!

      All the instructions from above you can find on Google. It’s the easiest setup I’ve ever gone through. Obviously all 14 devices aren’t going to get the full 80-100Mbps as the overall fibre connection is 380Mbps but it means it’s available for amazing 4K streaming on all 14 devices, if they could stream 4K….. roll on 8K then!!!!
