I am very strange and I have a liking for pots and pans. I like this pot so that has to be good!
Its not cast iron so its nice and light. Its a decent thickness so I hope it will retain its shape and heat distribution well. Lid fits snugly and the dimples seem to work really well at returning the steam to the pot. The non stick actually seems to be non stick and the whole thing cleans up easily. used it on the Hob and in the oven with good results. Decent size means I can batch cook.

Just watch out for the handles – there is no heat protection so they get very hot, even on the hob.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFantastic pot!
Bought this pot as I got a new cookbook which had a tonne of fantastic recipes needing a hob to oven casserole dish. Seriously – get this book it is stuffed with amazing dishes – Pinch of Nom Enjoy: Great-tasting Food For Every Day. Ordered this one as it worked on induction hop, is light and the right size for a family of 4 (easily providing 4 adult sized portions and maybe a bit more). Is a great pot! Looks nice and is super light. Non-stick coating is very good too. I also invested in the little silicon handle covers as it just makes using it easier and they fit perfectly. Would highly recommend! Ended up getting a MasterClass frying pan too!

    Great produc
Ideal size for 2 to 4 persons. So much lighter than cast iron and cooks just as well. Non stick and dishwasher safe as described. Only downside is that the handles get hot and you need to hold them when stirring. Recommended.

    Perfect alternative to iron.
Bought this as a Christmas present for my father who would have struggled with the weight of a similarly sized cast iron pot.

Being aluminium it is much lighter than iron, the heat distribution is incredible and after several uses has shown no sign of any deteriroation. Solid fitting lid and works equally as well on the hob as it does in the oven.

My only negative is that the pan handles get boiling hot, on the hob. And I keep forgetting I need to use oven gloves as not used to it yet. It’s nore obvious when it’s been in the ove

    Love it!
As I have arthritis in my joints, this is a perfect weight for me. It has the look of cast iron but so much lighter. I have since bought other products in this range.

    Lightweight but sturdy dish
I bought this to replace a ceramic casserole dish that broke, and was really pleased that it was so lightweight, but also feels sturdy. And a bonus that it will also go on the hob.

Really like this product. The handles obviously get hot when on the stove as they’re designed to go in the oven too. I’ve used it on the stove and in the oven and it has held up really well. Great value for money!

love this cooking pot. use it all the time great size can cook on the hob or in the oven. hot when you take it out of the oven but cools down quickly for washing up by hand or in the dish washer.

    Good pot, handles get hot.
As the title says great pot apart from the handles getting too hot, you can rectify this with the available silicone handle cover but they will of course cost you about 7 or 8 quid more, perhaps should have been supplied with the pot really.

    Great casserole dish
This is a great casserole dish. It has been used several times now and has always produced great results and no burnt food either. It’s super easy to clean and if there are any bits left on the dish simply soak and clean afterwards. There are many people stating that the handles get hot which put me off initially from purchasing, but as it’s not advertised as having stay cool handles just wear oven gloves and you’re fine. It’s a great price too

    Great all round casserole dish
Wanted a dish that could be used for either stove or oven. Was seriously contemplating buying a cast iron one but knew they would be too heavy. So in the end I bought the Masterclass dish and I’m so pleased with it. Have used it numerous times already, have cooked chillis, Bolognese, casseroles etc. It is so light, nothing sticks and is very easy to clean and light to handle. Just have to remember that if using it on the stove the handles do become hot. Hence the 4 stars. However I have been so pleased with this brand we have also purchased two of their frying pans. Excellent quality and great prices. I am so pleased I didn’t buy a cast iron dish.

Love this dish! Used this dish every day since I bought it and it’s amazingly easy to clean, everything just wipes straight off. Been looking for ages for a dish to go from hob to oven at an affordable price- this is just what I was looking for. Would definitely recommend Just wish I’d found this sooner.

What I didn’t like was the fact that the handles and knob on the lid became too hot to handle without a cloth. Otherwise it is a useful addition to my kitche

A great purchase, 4L is a good size to feed 6.
I got this product about a week ago and have used it to make a vegetable casserole with fennel and white wine. Did a great job, the pan is light and easy to clean. My only negative point is you must remember to use a tea towel or an oven glove when holding it as the handles get extremely hot.

Easy clean, light to handle what's not to like!
After years of trying to scrub glass casseroles clean, and knowing that with reduced lifting capacity I couldn’t handle a cast iron casserole I found this gem on Amazon. So light weight, so easy to clean, I just add suds before we sit to eat. A quick wipe and rinse after dinner and it’s good to go again. The “cow’s udder” like inner lid directs the steam back into the pot and prevents boil dry, and the gravy that results seem so much richer than my usual one. I bought the silicone handle and knob cover, and would advocate you do too as it gets super hot – and even these cannot be touched with an ungloved hand, one small niggle. The four litre brilliant for a freezer restock, and bought the baby of this casserole family this week for when it’s just himself and me.

    Great cookware
Love this cookware. Yes, the handles get extremely hot but you soon remember to use oven gloves! It is so lightweight and really good to be able to brown meat then transfer to oven if required. I have the shallow casserole dish to match so use that when I want to oven cook and use this deeper pan on the hob. It’s so easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Good price, good size, good heat distribution, good pot.
Fantastic product. I’ve been looking for a good sized casserole dish for ages, and this was the first one I found that met all my needs. The heat distribution was great, both in the oven and on my induction hob, it’s easy to clean in the dishwasher. I’d say it makes about 8 solid, hearty portions of food, depending on what you’re cooking naturally. Planning to get another one for my grandmother so I can cook her large batches of food and freeze them in tupperwares when I visit her.

I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone. It is surprisingly lightweight and being non stick, easy to clean. It has come in handy for dishes which require cooking both on the stove and in the oven.
But be aware, the handles and lid get very hot, as i found to my cost the first time I used it.

    Amazingly lightweigh
Have only used it a couple of times so far, each time as a pasta pot. This is the reason it was purchased and may well prove its sole use. Being more oval than round, it is a bit of a mis-shape for an electric hob but the water did boil evenly. Thought the lid could have been a little tighter but will doubtless soon get used to it.

Love this casserole as it does just what I bought it for. Brown off your veg and meat on the hob add your stock then pop in the oven for a no fuss meal. Even full it’s easy to lift and I have arthritic hands! My husband was even happier as it was easy to clean! Would definitely buy this pot again.

Excellent pot, especially for slow cooking stews. Lightweight and easily washed. I use it on an induction hob and I like that it can also safely go into the oven. If the handles didn’t get so hot, it would have got five stars.

As a fan of other oven/pan ware was looking for a cheaper version in a different size.
Saw this and thought it looked ok for what I needed.
It has excelled in the job…making curry at least twice a week..
Very surprised at how light it was in comparison to others, also very easy to clean afterwards.
Be aware the side handles get hot.

Wear oven gloves at all times on hob or in ove
This pot is very big. Used it a few times on the hob to cook casseroles no probs. But beware the handles do get very very hot!! even on a low heat. Dont think I’d use it the oven. Make sure you wear thick oven gloves. Stupid me I didn’t when I took it off the hob and ended up with very sore hands.

My son has nicknamed this superb pan The cauldron! I love it – it is large, lightweight, non stick, it preforms it’s job well in the oven for casseroles or braising meat or on the oven top for stews and soups-its a breeze to clean – The handles do get hot so remember to use oven gloves – this pan(or cauldron) is fabulous I will update my review in 6 months to let you know if it stands up to the heavy workload it is going to ge

    Exceptional!
This is such a useful pot! Cook’s really well and is so versatile.

Has enabled me to cut down on extra pans and casserole dishes therefore saving space in the kitchen.

Oh…and it is so easy to clean…I mean really easy to clean.

The only downside is that the handles get really hot, even when cooking on the hob, but that’s easy to overcome with a thick cloth or oven gloves.

Best purchase in a long time.

    Life changing.
This is the most amazing casserole pan I have ever owned. Completely non stick, heat distributes evenly and it stay hot for a good while. The lid effectively collects condensation and doesn’t allow it to drip into the food. It’s like some kind of sorcery! The only draw back is that the handles get very hot BUT it is weighted enough that you don’t actually need to hold it on the hob as it doesn’t move while stirring. It is also easy to clean even if left with leftovers over night. I would highly recommend this product. It’s been life changing.

This is a must in every kitchen. For a family of 6 its a little on the small sidr for a standard curry dish however its a perfect for other dishes and I’m in love with it.

Jeat distribution is perfect. Handles so get hot a little so please be careful. So glad I bought it when I did as I was just going to purchase it now again but noticed the price has doubled so will wait till it reduces.

    Cleaning is even better. Haha.

I use this most weeks. Stews. Sourdough bread. Chilli. Curry. The only thing I’m not happy with is it has three lugs on the lid that allows the steam to escape. Personally I’d prefer it not to have these. I left a stew ticking over in the oven and it dried out so now I have to use cartouche

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersAwesome induction pans
These pans are awesome and I liked them so much that I bought two (so far)
I got an induction hob so needed new pans.
These are induction safe so thought I’d go for these. They have the diamond pattern underneath that’s induction safe. These are non stick and I haven’t had non stick pans for years either because I found it comes off eventually.
These have a 25 year guarantee so these attracted me over any others.
They are really sturdy and super well made. I prefer pans without long handles that can get caught and tip over.
Next I wanted pans that can go in the oven and also had a lid.
These ticked every box and more. The lid fits on perfectly and it’s ridged underneath so the moisture drips back into the pan during cooking.
The non stick inside looks like pebbledash it’s really attractive. You need to use silicone or plastic utensils. The pans are dishwasher safe too.
The whole pan is really attractive. I’ve bought two 5 litre ones for family sized pasta sauce and pasta. I bought the black ones as they were on offer and I’m pleased I did as they’re perfect for me. They look like stoneware pans until you pick them up. They’re not really heavy but not really light or flimsy either.
I’m going to buy the whole set I’m so happy with them. Definitely recommend them to other buyers.

Cooks beautifully, but careful with the hot handles
I had always wanted a cast-iron cocotte but I just can’t deal with the weight as I have a wrist injury. This one, being aluminium, is very light, but it cooks very well. The heavy bottom means that things don’t burn easily, and the heat distribution is excellent so you can turn the heat down quite low to cook stews and soups, which creates a very nice taste. The only downside is that the handles and the knob get hot. I knew this before I bought it, but it’s still quite annoying.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersBest shin of beef, bean and vegetable stew I have every made
I got fed up using stoneware oven dishes for my stews and casseroles, so bought this when it was around 28.
A number of benefits were obvious after its first use. Firstly, the lid was secure enough to keep the heat in. Secondly it conducted heat very effectively which shaved some time of my usual slow cooked beef recipe. Thirdly it is definitely non-stick. Fourthly, it took no time to clean when I was done (unlike my stoneware). even after slow cooking shins of beef. Finally, it looks like a heavy pot, but it is much lighter.

I am already glad I bought it as I really needed a stew in this weather, and was able to make a pot big enough so there are plenty of leftovers for a weekend watching football! I can also see it being it of great benefit for curries, chilli, roasts and much more.

Remember though: Use gloves as the handles get really hot (obviously I suppose!)

can be used on induction hob then put straight in the ove
Ideal for making up stews and casseroles as you can start them off on the hob then put it straight in the oven. You do have to remember to use something to hold the handles with when stirring though as they are get hot when it is on the hob. I think that is probably the only thing they could improve would be to have some sort of handles on it that could withstand the heat when it is on the hob but then i suppose they would have to withstand the heat in the oven too so not sure they could do that, or could they?
