Good Keyboard, But LED's are dim on the main keys
The keyboard is decent, but I find the LED’s are very dim through the keys, not as bright as my old razor turret, so not easy to sdee in the dark, unless you are actually hovering over the keyboard.
A Review of the MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
he MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile Mechanical Gaming Keyboard represents a compelling blend of style, performance, and functionality. With its sleek design, responsive switches, customizable lighting, and ergonomic features, it caters to the needs of gamers who demand nothing but the best. Whether you’re a competitive esports player or a casual gamer looking to elevate your experience, the Vigor GK50 is a worthy investment that delivers on its promise of immersive gaming performance.
Great Keyboard
It arrived well packaged, with the mouse included.
The different lights are cool, with MSI centre you can change the RGB colours and flow of the lights and brightness.
I personally don’t find it too loud, but I’m used to mechanical keyboards.
I actually enjoy the sound.
The mouse is good, all settings can be changed. Have had no delays with either.
Great!
I like it.
Bought it to replace my previous keyboard, a coolermaster quickfire xti with cherry mx brown switches. Althought the keys are kind of loud making a high pitched noise, I like this a lot. I don’t care about the rgb, which is not lacking, but in comparison with my other keyboard it’s much more responsive. I don’t play competitive games online, but I do a lot of productivity work apart from gaming. At 75, I consider this a good value for money. I haven’t used a lot of different mechanical keyboards, I guess it’s up the person using it.
Good keyboard and mouse.
I give this product 4 stars only because the letters on the keyboard are dificult to read. It would be great if they were printed in a standard fonts size. otherwise all good.
Shiny keys
Very good keyboard, great action, and loving the macros feature. LED setting are fun if that’s your kind of thing. Only downside is the keys are made of that kind of plastic that show up every imaginable finger mark the moment you so much as look at the keyboard
The best keyboard I have ever encountered
This is perhaps the best keyboard I have ever encountered. Excellent for programming, e-sports games, and both fast and prolonged typing. Thanks to the MSI red switch, only 35g of pressure is needed to press the keys, which significantly reduces the strain on the joints of the hand. You can type with literally feather-light touch. It’s lightweight, and its size is smaller than average keyboards, so there’s almost no need to move the hand, just slightly move the fingers to type.
I miss having a keyboard lock button or a keyboard combination with a similar function, but I really like the horizontal volume control solution, similar to a mouse wheel.
Despite appearances, the transparent keys are solid and made of good material, so there’s no need to worry about them. Obviously, this beauty wasn’t designed for breaking down doors.
I couldn’t be more satisfied with the purchase.
Great mouse and keyboard
Bought for Xbox series s. Works well, lights are cool. All good except the n key is lowercase but all rest are upper. So if you’re like me it will get annoying
Cheap and Cheerful and actually Legit good.
I bought these as a Christmas Gift for my son, and he loves them, ALOT.
I did test them out to ensure it works (Since I knew he would be on his new PC immediately!)
And low and behold, they are actually very nice!
The mouse is particularly a highlight in this set.
It is very well weighted and very accurate.
The mouse wheel is ideally sensitive and broad making scrolling a pleasure.
The sensor works on a wide variety of surfaces I tested it on, from carpet to sheets to tables to shiny counter tops.
The Keyboard is also a great piece of kit, It is well weighted and the RGB works well for those that like it.
The keyboard is well sized and accurate and not too bad for faux mechanical switches (I know they are membrane).
I does not come close to my Razer BlackWidow at all, but then again it cost a 10th of the price of my Razer Setup so for the price, it is well worth it and Ideal for any gamer on a budget!
Simply the best, great keyboard
Simply the best, great keyboard. The quality
is realy great, the best keyboard I have ever seen, the backlighting of the keys and everything else deserves 10 stars of 10. I highly recommend such a keyboard to anyone who cares about the quality and the pleasure of everyday use and gaming.
So far so good
Got this for my son. He is very happy with it. Build quality seems good. Keyboard feels solid and unusually heavy compared to others I have used before. Mouse is what you would expect from a gaming mouse these days.
Good:
– competitively priced KB
– easy to control, bright & funky RGBs; lights can be controlled from KB without using MSI software on PC. Super simple one-page instruction sheet
– nice switches. Kailh box green was my 1st choice but Kailh box white work pretty well for typing
– sharp design + compact on the desk; takes up less room than other 105 key KBs
Less good:
– when PC awakens from sleep the RGBs don’t come back to life unless MSI software has been switched. Even then it won’t return to the same lighting scheme. But it only requires a couple of KB switches to be pressed. Not a big deal but one thing that could be finessed.
– switches have some protection against liquid but not the *whole* KB so keep liquids well away if you want your KB to survive. A liquid spill killed some switches on my Razer KB.
Lovely MSi White RGB Keyboard
Going with a white aesthetic PC build, I chose this keyboard. I love MSi, it matches well with the MSi Edge Wifi motherboard and I love the RGB. The keyboard is easy to use exept I’m learning to get used to keyboard and mouse when gaming instead of a controller, so I do keep pressing the wrong keys now and again. The keys are a bit clunky though, I would prefer them to be more silent, but I know I could replace the most used keys with rubber ones for gaming. Another thing that would be an improvent is there should be a wireless option as I’m not a fan of having lot’s of cables with everthing else plugged in. Overall I’m really satisfied.
Affordable and Reliable Gaming Combo - A Solid Choice for Gamers
I recently purchased the MSI VIGOR GK30 Gaming Keyboard and Gaming Mouse Bundle, and I must say it’s an excellent choice for gamers on a budget. Here’s what I think about this combo:
Keyboard (4/5): The keyboard is well-built and feels solid. It’s equipped with membrane switches that provide a tactile feel while remaining relatively quiet. While it doesn’t have the mechanical key feel of higher-end keyboards, it’s more than adequate for gaming and regular typing tasks.
Mouse (4/5): The mouse, which comes with an ergonomic design, is comfortable for extended gaming sessions. Its precise sensor and customizable DPI settings make it suitable for a wide range of games. The RGB lighting adds a nice touch, and MSI’s software allows for further customization.
Customization and Lighting (4/5): Both the keyboard and mouse offer RGB lighting, a feature not commonly found in this price range. The keyboard’s lighting is customizable with pre-set effects, although it doesn’t have the same level of customization as more premium models. The mouse’s RGB lighting is quite impressive and adds a visually appealing element to your gaming setup.
Features (3/5): The bundle offers great value for the price, but it does come with a few limitations. The keyboard’s non-detachable cable could be a minor inconvenience for some users. Additionally, customization options on the keyboard are more basic compared to higher-end gaming keyboards.
In conclusion, the MSI VIGOR GK30 Combo Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Bundle provides an affordable and reliable gaming experience. The solid build quality, customizable RGB lighting, and comfortable design make it a great choice for gamers looking for a budget-friendly solution. While it may lack some advanced features, it offers a solid gaming experience for the price. If you’re a gamer on a budget, this combo is definitely worth considering.
I hope this review helps other potential buyers in making an informed decision about the MSI VIGOR GK30 Combo. Happy gaming!
I brought this last year due to my keyboard suddenly stopping and not having a big budget. (My pc theme is also MSI)
The keyboard felt a lot smoother then my other keyboards that I have had in the passed. And I’ve had no issues with it.
I only have one complaint on it, when I go to click 3+ buttons at once, only two will work, this can cause a problem however it is something you get use to over time.
Weird font on the keys only issue
Great product but the font lets it down one star because unless unlike me you are 100% with the uk querty keyboard the font can and will make it hard to see 8 looks like 9 which looks like 6 as theres more but my arsedness levels are dropping significantly so it looks sweet works great but the font is hard fail
Very small buttons like for kids
I never saw before such a small keys on keyboard very sensetive and even softer touch keyboard already typing so keyboard is nice but this small keys like for kids i don’t like.
An average keyboard and mouse
This keyboard and mouse is very well built and I quite like the fact that the keyboard has rubber grips on the underside of it too help stop it moving around on the desk the mouse feels quite comfortable to hold the keyboard has lots of features most of which are unnecessary and will hardly ever be used I find this to be an average keyboard and mouse which is no better or worse than other makes on the market only this has a premium brand name and as such comes with a premium price tag
he keyboard itself is great just the right size and not taking up loads of room on the desk, keys are nice and click and a slight tactile feel to them and the windows key can be locked on the left side for gaming.
Only downside I can come up with and it’s nothing that’s major is that on custom mode in mystic light the hash key stops lighting up when doing per key lighting and that the keycaps pick up oils from your fingers really easy other than that a really good keyboard for gaming and typing.
Fantastic Keyboard
Having never used a mechanical keyboard, and professionally having used low profile chiclet membrane keyboards for years, I was apprensive about making the switch the a mechanical keyboard, both because of the height difference and their noisiness compared to laptop style keyboards.
Happy to report that i’m glad i made the switch. This keyboard isn’t significantly higher profile than your chiiclet style boards, and while it’s significantly louder than a membrane board, it’s not obnoxious like some other mechanical keyboards. I’ve also found that my typing has been improved by the responsive tactile feel of the keys, the feel of the ‘click’ is much more intuitive for typing.
In terms of quality and design, it looks fantastic. The brushed aluminium is clean and gives the board a decent weight whilst not being too heavy, the keys are soft and have an almost velvety texture. The basic lighting functions are good, but the dragon software for customising the lighting is great, and easy to use. The brightness setting aat it’s highest is more than bright enough to type/game in total darkness.
one thing i will note, depending on your PC’s security settings the F1 function to launch afterburner will not work if you have UAC settings at default. Somewhat annoying, but it’s not a huge deal to open the program like you would any other.
Overall, I’m happy i made the switch.
