Natures Aid Digestive Enzyme Complex with Betaine Hydrochloride, Vegan, 60 Tablets

Natures Aid Digestive Enzyme Complex contains five of the most important enzymes the body needs for digestion. Each tablet provides:

Amylase – for carbohydrate breakdown

Protease – for protein breakdown

Lipase – for fat breakdown

Cellulase – for cellulose breakdown

Lactase – for dairy breakdown

Lactase is particularly important due to the high levels of dairy intolerance within the population. Lactase enzymes improve lactose digestion in individuals who have difficulty digesting it.

Betaine Hydrochloride is also important for digestion, as it can raise levels of hydrochloric acid – the primary digestive aid in the stomach for protein breakdown. Low levels of hydrochloric acid in the stomach are a common cause of discomfort.

Natures Aid Digestive Enzyme Complex provides 100mg Betaine Hydrochloride per tablet.

All Natures Aid products are manufactured to the industry recognised GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standard which gives us complete control over the quality and effectiveness of our products and provides our customers with the highest quality products.

We do not test any of our products on animals and, where possible, products are formulated to be suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Like many Natures Aid products, our Digestive Enzyme Complex has been approved by the Vegan Society.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersTaken for 1 week and after 3+ years of discomfort these show some promise. Still unsure on dosage but settled on half in the morning and one with dinner and one with tea. I started on less but as I’ve gotten used to them I’ve increased to one full tablet with both main meals.
They initially made my tummy feel a bit fizzy and as the intention is to settle a very reactive tummy I went in slow.
I’m hoping as time progresses it might improve further but at the one week point I feel less bloated, and the sensation of tummy cramping and twisting after eating has definitely lessenedbut not quite to the extent I would like. My tummy is always bubbling and this causes discomfort under the ribs and a burning sensation. It’s still noisey and sometimes squeaky but it feels like something is shifting in the right direction as in down rather than up. I’m hoping in another week that the benefits improve further but still happy to feel some relief if not full relief.
Update – still finding these the best solution to settling a gassy, cramping tummy. Take as and when it kicks off or with main meals.
Take one before eating and if it’s still bubbling and starting to feel uncomfortable I take one after. This very often leads to pain free comfortable digestion. If I take them on and off through the day depending on how my tummy feels I can go all day without any issues. Some days I may take 3 others I might take 5, but my best advice is to not let the discomfort start, as soon as you sense any discomfort take one. If you can get things under control by using these everything gets a chance to calm down and heal and I find that I can get longer periods of issue free eating.
I also take one before bed too just to help process anything sat stagnating in my tummy waiting to bubble up in the night. This has really helped with reflux and the middle of the night wakings with a cramping, bubbly tummy and amazingly some better quality sleep.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersDigestive enzymes have been a game-changer for me in terms of improving my digestion and overall well-being. I started incorporating them into my daily routine, and the results have been impressive.

First and foremost, the quality of digestive enzymes matters, and the brand I’ve been using has consistently delivered. These enzymes have made a noticeable difference in how I feel after meals. They help break down food more efficiently, reducing bloating and discomfort.

One of the standout benefits is improved nutrient absorption. With these enzymes, I’ve noticed that I’m getting more out of the food I eat, which is crucial for maintaining overall health. It’s reassuring to know that my body is making the most of the nutrients I consume.

The convenience of these supplements is another plus. They come in easy-to-swallow capsules that I can take with any meal, whether I’m at home or dining out. It’s a simple addition to my daily routine that has had a significant impact.

I appreciate that digestive enzymes are a natural solution to common digestive issues. They don’t disrupt my body’s natural processes; instead, they enhance them. Plus, they are suitable for a wide range of dietary preferences.

Overall, I can’t recommend digestive enzymes enough. They’ve helped me enjoy meals more comfortably, absorb nutrients more effectively, and maintain a healthier digestive system. If you’re looking to improve your digestion and overall health, give digestive enzymes a try — they might just change the way you feel after every meal.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI recently purchased digestive enzyme capsules for my daughter, who primarily consumes a diet of noodles and pasta. These capsules have been a game-changer in terms of her digestive comfort.

My daughter often experienced discomfort and stomach pain after her noodle and pasta-heavy meals. These digestive enzyme capsules have significantly improved her digestion and relieved her stomach issues. It’s been a noticeable transformation in her overall well-being.

What I appreciate most about these capsules is their effectiveness. They seem to break down the carbohydrates and proteins in her meals more efficiently, reducing the bloating and discomfort she used to feel. Plus, they’re easy for her to take, which is a big win in my book.

In terms of convenience, these capsules are a lifesaver. They’re easy to incorporate into her daily routine, and she doesn’t mind taking them at all. As a parent, knowing that she’s getting the support she needs for better digestion is a relief.

While I can’t speak to the specific brand or type of digestive enzyme capsules you purchased, I would recommend anyone with similar dietary habits to consider trying them. They’ve made a real difference in my daughter’s life, and I’m grateful for the relief they provide.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersAfter a bad bout of food poisoning I was struggling to digest anything without severe gas and bloating afterwards. It was so uncomfortable and getting pretty embarrassing so decided to try these. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I take two just before I start a meal and I get pretty much no digestive upset at ALL afterwards. And I realllly notice when I forget to take them, so I know they’re working. So glad to find something that offers such immediate relief. Bought a whole other bottle to keep at work just in case I forget them! Can’t recommend enough. After seeing some reviews say they can get stuck in your throat, I make sure to swallow mine fast with water already in my mouth and so far I’ve had no issues with it at all.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersHad my gallbladder removed a week ago and started taking these a few days before the op. Since have noticed I can only manage small meals and feel quite bloated & uncomfortable after eating anything – but I do feel better when I take one tablet after eating. Stomach feels less hard/swollen.
BUT they are hard to swallow as they start to fizz almost immediately! Need to take with a full glass of water and swallow quickly. A couple of times the tablet has got stuck in my throat and its not pleasant.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seems to help

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI swear by these things, it’s one of those things that varies person to person. They help me massively with all sorts, weather it be lactose intolerance or just having before a particularly heavy or spicy meal to make myself a bit more comfortable and help digestion. But I know others that have used them and don’t get the same effects. Whether it’s me or them that is wrong I don’t know..

Golden Review Award: 66 From Our UsersI’ve taken these for approximately 3 months.

I have IBS and for the best part of 15 years I’ve had regular bouts of toilet issues that occur typically in the evening. Pretty much tried everything you could think of. Saw a YouTube video of a girl talking about the 20 odd supplements she takes for either IBS or IBD (I forgot) whilst most of them seemed overkill she mentions Digestive Enzymes as one of them so I thought id give it a go. I then heard a number of others suggest it as a useful supplement to take around meals to activate digestion.

In the 3 months since I started taking them I’ve had only 2 bouts down from the 1-2 a week I was experiencing. Which is a massive positive. I take one before my main meal or any other meal I feel my digestion will need a boost.

The but. The tablets have a lightly effervescent style meaning they dissolve as soon as they come into contact with water. So you need to swallow them down with plenty of water immediately so they go straight to your gut. Twice a tablet got stuck in my throat as it went down and the burn was incredible. The last time my throat was still affected the next day.

Worth having a go in combination with a diet that doesn’t burden the digestion system too much and you don’t over eat.
