I was very pleasantly surprised with this printer.

I love the compact size as it is easy to carry with you if needed and to store away in the office.

It was very easy to set up – I only use this with my phone as haven’t been able to connect it to my laptop as it is a work one and I don’t have control of the settings, so I can’t comment on ease of use from a laptop sadly. But using a phone it’s very simple. The instructions are easy to follow if needed too.

The print quality is fine too. It isn’t perfect but it is not bad at all. I’ve used this for labels, recipes, and decorations for my daughters scrapbook and have had no issues at all.

The price is quite steep but if it is something you will use it could be worth the money as it is a great printer.

This portable thermal printer is excellent, i have been wanting one of these for a long time so i was pleased to be able to order one to try. There are good points as well as the not so good.

The unit is small for a printer and whilst i will say it is completely portable with wireless connectivity and is rechargeable too (via USBC), it is not tiny and does take up a bit of room in the work bag. It comes with a small drawstring pouch which is good but temporary. A carry case is available separately which i ordered too.

The unit is simply powered on by long press and paired with my iphone using the dedicated Phomemo app which is free and easy to use. One small roll of paper is supplied to get you going and there is an open slot at the back to feed from the rear. The unit takes 3 widths of paper or label roll, there are movable guide clips inside for this. Unfortunately i haven’t been able to connect this printer to my laptop as it requires a separate driver which i haven’t been able to install in order to test this capability (work laptop restriction).

The print quality is pretty good, you can tell it is thermal and there is a limited life as thermal printing can fade or get lost if exposed to other heat sources. When printing A4 from a continuous roll of paper, there is a tear off cutter which rough edges will appear and may need trimming off. For these reasons I wouldn’t use this printer to print out important or formal documents.

Really easy to use and such a convenient solution but the cost of thermal printing is expensive. Thermal paper is expensive, black and white only and can only be printed on one side although the absence of toner means there is a small cost saving to balance out. This printer also costs 149.99 (at the time of review) which i feel is off putting. If i was looking to buy another i think my limit would be about 80-100. A great product overall and I recommend if you can get the use out of it.

I have used these types of thermal printers before and recently got this one for my parents who were going on a world cruise! It seems that going on such a long trip requires a surprising amount of paperwork for visas, trips and different documents.

I help my dad to set this up to his phone and it wasn’t as simple as others I have used, the instructions send you to a different app which would not connect to the printer which was odd, in the end I downloaded the app I use for him and it worked, Phomemo it is a white box with a pink mushroom.

Once connected he then struggled to print some documents but I showed him how to save the docs as a PDF in a folder then print using the app to print a PDF. Although a took a while to get him fully up and running it was well worth spending this time so he was sure what to do when away.

The print quality is pretty good, it is thermal so there are limitations but much better than nothing. As we were printing from a roll or paper we did have to fold some prints out as they were longer than an A$ sheet would be. Using the roll did mean that you didn’t have to worry about the prints coming out at a funny angle, I find this with the paper that you need to slowly feed them in and once it takes it might not be square and has odd margins.

The printer battery is good, it lasts a long time, as the roll is inside there is nothing extra to carry so better than sheets in a package.

Perfect for travel, still pricey but if you can use it a lot then its good value.

A very neat, compact, lightweight and easily portable little printer which comes with its own protective bag for when travelling with it. No risk of ink spillage. Easy to set up with the downloadable app. Takes a variety of paper sizes and has excellent print quality.

    – very easy to use
    – clear printing results but not as great as a normal inkjet/laser printer its best to use a notmal printer for printing important documents. this is great for printing things like lists, memos, black and white photos
    – can print a4 sized documents
    – the printer is compatible with Android & iOS phone (via Bluetooth), Windows 10/11 & MacOS laptops (via USB cables)
    – small compact and lightweight printer
    – perfect for asking with you to out of office meetings to print documents easily on the go
    – the printer has a built-in 2600mAh battery, you can print even when you are away from a power source
    – it takes a few hours long to fully charge and on a full charge it lasts quite a long time
    – comes with a pouch bag to keep everything together would have preferred a hard case bag to store it when not in use
    – uses thermal technology to print no need fir ink/toner cartridges
    – has an led display which shows you a green power light
    – Wide Compatibility: The Phomemo M832 portable printer a4 offers excellent printing performance for documents, invoices, contracts, graphics, photos and more. The printer supports a wide range of print types such as Word, Excel, PPT, TXT, JPG, web content and graphics.
    – press two buttons at bottom to load and unload paper
    – has a cutter to help cut the paper once pribted
    – the roll of paper is a glossy one
    – makes a funny noise whilst printing
    – long press to turn on and off
    – red light paper not in properly
    – green ready to print
    – rubber anti slip feet
    – overall very impressed with this i love being able to print return labels and any important documentation like insurance doc quickly snd efficiently at home without needing to open my laptop and print from a big bulky printer. this printer doesn’t take up much desk space either and can easily be stored away.
    – its a great investment as you don’t need to keep buying inks only pape

I’ve always wanted a thermal printer and was impressed by my friends phenemo. I saw this one and love it! It’s very compact and easy to use either with the app or plugging in. Glad I don’t need to buy fancy paper compared to other thermal printers too

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe Phomemo M832 boasts impressive versatility for its compact size. Offering A4 printing via various paper types, it caters to diverse needs from receipts and photos to labels and banners. While inkless printing keeps costs low, users should be aware of the monochrome limitation. Bluetooth connectivity simplifies mobile use, though a PC connection is also possible. While print quality is decent at 300dpi, it may not rival traditional printers for photos. Overall, the M832 is a handy option for portable printing on a budget, but users seeking high-resolution colour output may need to look elsewhere.

Bought this for doing tattoo stencils at conventions and it works great, does exactly what I need it to do fast and easy.
Time will tell how long it lasts but so far so good, glad I didn’t splash for a Brother one!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWow, as soon as I saw this product, I simply had make the order. For many years now I have been forced to using pay as you go photo copy and printing. Opening the box as I slid out this sleek compact tiny printer, I couldn’t help reflect on the first ginormous, printer I purchased so many year before and how I struggled with a huge printer socket and CD drivers. This small lightweight device was about to change my life forever.
Travelling a lot, I am always reliant on asking the hotel or a local copying shop to give me my return boarding passes. No more. But that isn’t the only reason I wanted this product, its because when I have a meet and greet with a client, and often they want to have something printed to take some details or quotation away then I can easily print anything they need instead of printing out and taking various papers they never want so I am saving paper also.
Setting up the printer was easy to setup as the hardware is accompanied with an app that allow me to connect my tablet wirelessly or I can connect wired with my laptop. So far I tend to use it with my tablet. What is great about the app is that it converts what you are printing to the type and size of paper I am using. The operation for this is so much easier than the standard desktop printers.
The app is also great for images, I have printed photos from this printer and I’m really pleased with the result, the app is so versatile and is regularly kept up to so no need to worry about the software quickly becoming buggy, as Phememo are also fanatical about their product.
I have been using this for about 6 weeks now, and I cant wait for my next business trip as this product is compact enough to take with me, in fact, I take this everywhere I go when on business along with the plastic envelope of thermal paper. Thermal paper is more expensive than the normal paper. So when doing long print sessions I still use my desktop printer.
Love it, recommended as this might be the end of desktop printers for good.
