I know a device like this might not be 100% accurate but believe these days these types of gadgets are very close.
I’m a slim petite woman in my late 50’s. All but one of my 13 readings on these scales were good or acceptable thankfully, but I was shocked to find my BODY FAT PERCENTAGE was in the ‘obesity’ high rating. I tested this single result against an older hand held device (that only tests 4 things that I hadn’t used for a long time) with an almost identical reading to within 0.3.
There are more results on this device than I’ve personally seen before which I think are all useful. This has been an invaluable wake up call for me to do something about my one high reading. Great to have the results on an APP that are easy to read. I highly recommend these scales.
I was looking for scales that would give me a bit more information than just my weight. I’ve always had standard scales before and don’t always find them motivating when I know I’ve eaten in a healthy way!
These scales were exactly what I wanted, they give a breakdown of more than just your weight. Each category is displayed in a colour so at a glance you can see what area you may need to focus on. For example my water composition was low (red in colour) so I could see I needed to get that to a green percentage. There’s a breakdown of your body composition including visceral fat, protein, bone mass etc.
The thing I found most interesting (and useful) was the colour coding of the info, green for good through to red for unhealthy. I had no idea what my visceral fat target should be but the colours make it clear.
Batteries were included, set up took less than a minute after downloading the app (also simple as QR code included in instruction book).
The scale itself is very light and slim. It weighs in kg which I have never liked, I knew this prior to purchasing but decided to go with it as the reviews are so positive for this item. As previous customers have said you can switch the kg to stone or pounds in the app. To be honest once you have jumped off the scales it’s the app you view everything in so the fact that the scales show kg became irrelevant as I simply toggled my app to show stone/pound. If you are wanting the scales just to show your weight and aren’t interested in the body mass then these scales aren’t for you. However if like me you want a little more motivation and visual “reward” for your efforts with being healthy then I recommend these scales.
This has worked well for me. One caveat is that on occasion you will get an inaccurate result – I find measuring twice and taking the second result leads to accurate results (ie the same as other scales when checked).
Bluetooth pairing is easy, the muscle/fat percentages seem about right, and the app is better than expected.
I have never been obsessed with measuring my weight before this scale arrived in my home! What an interesting and accurate measurements, whether you are trying to loose weight or not gaining it. This scale helps to understand your body composition and it can be useful tool to have while following a gym training or exercise in general.
Not a paid review
Simple to us and set up, just download the app from the instructions leaflets
The scales itself are battery powered, feel well made and more importantly are accurate (as long as the floor is level) there is also a host of biometrics that the scales analyses like bone and muscle mass as well as hydration but you must use the scales bare footed and have the app installed (the scales display you weight) display screen could be bigger but that’s a personal choice and it’s fine on the scales
The scales then send the info so you can view via the app where your progress is tracked
Furthermore the app has a social aspect as well as other additional features recipes and user generated content.
The app is comparable with myfitness and a lot of other health tracking apps including apple health and Samsung.
On the less positive side the scales are small I’m a size 9 and someone with bigger feet may struggle but I’d assume they struggle with everything else like steps etc
Overall the scale work, track accurately and if you like the biometrics etc then this is the scales for you.
Price point was not to bad, I think I paid 28-30 and for the app support , connectivity and the additional biometrics you really can complain.
