A big box arrived with good packaging to ensure the SCAN Aurum Gaming PC inside was safe. Inside was a complete system and all the documentation to enable me to remove the internal packing and setup quickly. The quality assurance sheet let me know who had built the PC, when they’d done, and who had checked off all their work.

The Windows 11 configuration was quick and smooth and Steam was soon downloading. This was an opportunity to try out the lighting schemes in the case. The i9 and RTX 4060 worked flawlessly and gave Sea of Thieves a new lease of life.

Still looking for the promised Pen Drive in the box in case it is needed for recovery, but sure I’ve just missed it in all the excitement.

I was hesitant to buy a prebuilt PC, especially on Amazon, but I was delighted with this one. Chances are if you’re reading this you know what specs you want and whether this PC is what you need – I got the Ryzen 7 5700X / RTX 4070 Ti / 32GB RAM version and could not be happier with it, it handles everything I could possibly want to play and maintains good temperatures doing it. If you game at 1440p or want an overkill 1080p system it’ll handle your needs without breaking a sweat. I’ve read that these components can manage 4k but I’m yet to try it – I tend to favour frame rates over resolution and have not been disappointed so far in that regard (they’ve helpfully preinstalled benchmarking software so you can check for yourself!).

What I do want to comment on is the packaging and presentation of this PC – after all, you can get these parts anywhere but when you’re buying prebuilt you want them put together and presented better than you could do it yourself. In this regard I’ve been really impressed. The thing itself is lovely to look at, the cables are all very tidy and the space in the case is used nicely. It arrived in a box-in-a-box and completely surrounded by packaging so there was no risk of any damage in transit, and for extra peace of mind the case itself was carefully stuffed with packaging so nothing could come free or move on its way to me (don’t forget to remove it before starting up!). It looked like DPD could really have done their worst while delivering it and it would’ve survived comfortably.

Once you open the box, you’ll find that they include the motherboard box with all manner of useful bits and pieces inside, including extra parts and some really excellent first-time setup guides with diagrams that’ll be really helpful if you’re new to PCs – they talk you through unpacking, getting the right cables into the right places, and troubleshooting any issues you might have – written in proper, clear English instead of by ChatGPT or translated from Chinese by Google. They even include a little USB stick with helpful diagnostic tools, your license key, screenshots of the various benchmarks they’ve done, etc. There’s a comprehensive QC sheet that proves they’ve checked your PC over properly and gives you a name so there’s accountability for your build if you have any trouble with it – contact details and system support hours are given should you need them. For me, I just had to plug in and play and there were no issues at all.

If I was forced to nitpick, I’d say the fan was a little loud when I booted up, but with a little tinkering (they include the software you need to do so) it was down to a whisper. I’ve nothing else negative to say at all. I’d honestly not hesitate to buy one of these again.

I needed a PC with a reasonable graphics card at short notice. Been following a few manufacturers at a distance knowing at some point have a need for a GPU for some work. Turns out needed it on a Thursday for the weekend.

I placed my order, dispatched in an hour. Arrived next day. It was a much bigger box than expected but that’s because both around the desktop box and inside the case everything is bagged out amazingly well protected. Always a concern when being shipped.

Very happy with the quality of the components for the price and the way it has been assembled very well indeed. For a desktop it’s a squarer profiles but like it with quick releases for access not sides with two clear windows to see the RGB your thing (even a nice fan/RGB remote). A recovery flash drive inside the case in addition to your options on a bad day above what Windows offers.

There is nothing more can say other than if your thinking of buying a PC that represents better value for money and TLC on its construction than the big manufacturers get your card out and support businesses like this. I will need a more powerful PC shortly so will be spending my money again with Scan.

Been looking at getting a new pc for gaming and video editing. After lots of looking around i found this was the best build and price for my budget. Really pleased with it. The pc came very well packaged and was easy to set up and get running. The rgb light fans have a remote for changing the colours, pattern, brightness or just turn them off completly.

The entire experience was excellent. It arrived the next day, exceptionally well-packaged, accompanied by clear setup instructions, and included all the additional motherboard cables, etc. It’s a visually appealing gaming system with outstanding performance. I am extremely pleased with this purchase

I initially ordered the PC to a nearby collection point, but it turns out that I had to receive it myself. DPD didn’t deliver the package and a reason was never stated by anyone. I contacted DPD, Amazon, and SCAN’s phone and, though I always received respectful attention, nothing was actually helpful. After a couple days, I contacted SCAN through the Amazon chat, where they explained why the PC hadn’t arrived and rescheduled the delivery.

After receiving the PC, I opened and installed it. The packaging is very good, with lots of padding outside and within the PC to avoid damage during transport. There was a bent USB port that I was able to fix myself, but everything else has been working fine (for a week). There was also an easy to follow instructions package. I checked the BIOS for basic settings and everything had been set correctly. I did, however, reduce the low-temperature speed of the fans because they are obnoxiously loud for basic office work. I noticed no issues after testing for thermal throttling, so I’ll keep this more conservative fan ramp for now.

As for the build, I am satisfied with the parts; they have a good balance for my needs. The RGB is a bit over the top and there is a markup of about 100-300, but I find that okay for a pre-built PC with a warranty.

Overall a good experience so far, but the hassle with delivery (which was solved well but slowly) make it a 4 star.

I bought this and it was delivered the day after (quicker than the 2 days expected). Plugged it in and was good to go – I’m blown away with the look and feel of the system. Everything is put together perfectly and I can’t think of anything to criticise!

If i need to buy another system at some point I’ll be coming back

we were looking for a new gaming PC for my son and spent hours looking at all different setups, but we knew we needed something high spec to get the FPS required. this setup was recommended by a friend, so we checked it out and the pricing was fantastic and within our budget.
Firstly, the PC was delivered within 24 hours of ordering and the package was really well protected, the amount of air protection padding was unreal and there was even more inside of the PC.
The setup was quick with the setup guide that was included, and we had the PC up and running in minutes, Windows was fully loaded on the machine, so it was just a case of user setup.
I did have to make a call as I couldn’t find the windows back up USB, but this was inside the case of the PC on the lower left-hand side.
we purchased the I7-13700F +32GB RAM and RTX4070 12GB, this PC comes with a ASUS motherboard H610m-A WifiD4, unlike the first PC we brought you get the motherboard box and all of the connectors for added more drives to the PC if required.
We wanted to hit over 240FPS in Fornite and this goal has been absolutely demolished as he is hitting over 500FPS in fortnite and 450+ in valorant and rocket league etc. using 1080 mode. This was a great upgrade from the last pc and hopefully it has many more high-performance years!
It has an instant turn on time and boot up speeds for games and you can be in a game in under 25-30 seconds, when on consoles and lower end PCs they would take 1.5-2 minutes.
All in all, we couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

I bought this to get into PC gaming properly (gave up trying to game on a 2021 Nitro 5 laptop & had been gaming on my PS5) and after looking around a lot, I was swayed by SCAN’s reviews/rep. Not just that but the spec to price & the payment options available made me take a punt. I am very glad I did!

The packaging is literally something to behold (think I could’ve dropped this out of my bedroom window and the pavement would be in worse shape than the computer… don’t try this though obviously).

It is a lot smaller as a unit than I expected but the fans haven’t had to get close to max at all, (guessing the AIO is a big help?) and I’ve even gave it a decent challenge by running the Nolvus V5 modlist for Skyrim (which turns the game into a massive 4k souls like remake) and it stays between between 60 – 110 FPS easily all settings maxed.

I would recommend not using fan Xpert in Armoury crate, figured out that’s why my chassis fans initially were stuck in turbo, turned it off, went into BIOS and set to ‘silent’, issue solved- straight 10/10 would highly recommend.

I got the 4070, I5-13400F AIO water-cooled with 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD and I’m honestly very happy with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gaming PC that comes excellently packaged

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve wanted a gaming PC for a while, and decided on this one based on the reviews.
I’m very happy with it, very solid and very decently priced for the specs, you could definitely do better on the specs building on your own for the same price but honestly if you can’t be bothered with doing it yourself, this is a fantastic deal.
The PC can withstand anything you throw at it and more, gets a little bit noisy even when I’m not gaming with the fans but with my headphones on I barely notice it most of the times as it is very quiet.
The packaging was absolutely brilliant, more padding than I’ve ever seen in my entire life, all the documents showing what was done and even some screenshots left behind to show what it’s capable of, can really tell the people behind it know how to treat their products so I wouldn’t really look anywhere else for a PC, I’d recommend it to my friends for sure!!
My only complaint is that there’s not much choice on a few of the components, in my case, I’d really like a 2TB disk and wouldn’t mind paying the difference but alas.
There’s also the fact that it was delivered one day before the scheduled delivery date and I wasn’t home, so it was picked up by a neighbor which is odd as for high value price usually that doesn’t happen, not sure why it was different here but it was a bit concerning but perhaps amazon was at fault on that.
If you’re on the fence, I’d choose this one though, 100%.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is the first pre-built PC I’ve purchased in about 30 years. I normally buy the parts and build my own but, after a slight liquid mishap with my previous computer, I decided to try a pre-made one.

I did quite a bit of research on various sites as well as on Amazon and narrowed it down to a couple of options. I decided to go with this one as the spec seemed good for the price and, I know Scan have a good reputation.

Delivery was quick and the PC was packed really well (as others have mentioned previously). Once unpacked it was easy to set up. I turned it on and went through the usual rigmarole of setting up Windows. Once complete I then found out that there was an issue with the WiFI card. It didn’t have a good signal – despite being next to my mesh WiFi adapter. As well as having a weak signal, it kept losing connection and installing Steam and various games was proving to be a problem.

I moved it into another room and set it up on my dining table. The same room as my router, so I thought the signal would improve. It didn’t. So I ran a network cable across the floor, plugged it in and it ran like a dream. I decided to take advantage of my WiFi 6 router and mesh set up, so ordered a replacement WiFi 6 card to replace the one fitted as standard.

My previous PC had 2 M.2 SSDs installed, so I thought I’d remove those and install them into this machine. That’s when I noticed problem number 2 – the installed motherboard only had the 1 (occupied) M.2 slot. So I looked around for an adapter so I could make use of my other drives – I have data on both that I don’t want to lose. I found this to be a problem, as the motherboard only has one PCIe x16 slot (which already contained the graphics card) and 2 PCIe x1 slots (1 of which contained the WiFi adapter). This has severely limited my options, as dual PCIe x1 NVMe adapters are not so common and most can’t take 2 drives (they’re fine for SATA M.2 drives, but not so much for NVMe). So I’m now looking at getting an external USB dual M.2 adapter – not ideal, but it’ll do at a push.

Sooo… (slight) negatives aside – how’s the PC?

It’s a beast. It’s very fast, runs like a dream and the build quality is second to none. There’s 32Gb of RAM and a 2Tb M.2 SSD installed, so plenty to handle the games I’ve installed. The RTX4070 can run everything I’ve thrown at it so far in ultra high settings and plays great. I’m looking forward to next week as I’m off work and will be spending a lot of time gaming!

I contacted Scan about the network adapter and they got back to me straight away. They told me that they fit a standard card to allow people to use WiFi if they need to. I told them I’d purchased a replacement and they offered to accept the one I removed as a return and said they’d refund me for it. I’d initially agreed to do this, but have since changed my mind as it’s not really worth the effort for a few quid – I’m more than happy with my purchase and they were super helpful.

Would I recommend this computer? Yes, it’s extremely well built, has all the muscle I need and is extremely fast. Despite my small setbacks (not everyone will have additional M.2 drives they need to install and I think the WiFi adapter may have been faulty) I’m more than happy with my purchase.

I’ll certainly purchase from Scan again in the future. Good PC, good price and great customer service!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI wanted this PC for general home use internet browsing and gaming. The price was attractive, specs good with the 4070 TI GPU and did not disappoint. very easy to set up and no problems. Very happy! A big attraction for me was other reviews describing the exceptional packaging they encountered with their machines. Again i was not disappointed, the internal packaging was very good and had clearly easily survived some obvious lumps and bumps during transit. A great packing job. A very good machine. Very satisfied customer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPackage arrived after a few phone calls to my local dpd centre which is pretty normal for me as they are always a pain in the arse in my area so no fault of Scan. The gaming pc came expertly packaged despite the dpd driver dropping the thing on my basement steps but thanks to the copious amount of padding it didn’t cause any problems other than a few tears in the main box.Enough about dpd and onto the excellent build quality of the rig,it far exceded what i was expecting with regard to the quality of parts and the watercooling was a nice bonus as was the fact it has its own power mode built into windows which i assume means it’s already been overclocked to some degree which is nice as i don’t really go near overclocking as i’ll probably blow it up if i tried.

I really can’t find a fault with this build,it runs like a train on everyday use so i’ve now just got to give it a go with some games which i’ll be doing very soon with Dying Light 2 to test it.Ok have just run dying light 2 on 2560/1440 on the highest settings and it’s buttery smooth i’m happy to say so this system is perfect for my needs just need to give starfield a go to really test it out.

Wish i had gone for the rtx 4070 but that’s my fault as i was smashed when i placed the order and didn’t pay much attention to the graphics card number but hey ho i’ll make do with the 4060 and avoid 4k as i think it may struggle a bit with that and i have an xbox series x and ps5 so 4k on my rig isn’t really something i was aiming for.

To summise i’d say if you want a very well built gaming rig i’d strongly recommend Scan as the build quality is second to none compared to some of the cowboy outfits on amazon who sell you a 1500 gaming rig and the graphics card fries after less than 2 months and the installed parts are no name junk,i will be reccomending Scan to anyone who’s after a fair priced Rig that is professionaly put together by people who know there stuff.

10/10 for packaging, build quality and the quality of components.

Just properly tested it out with Starfield on maximum settings and it ran perfectly, this rig just gets better and better with every game i throw at it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have the i9-32GB 4070 spec for this PC and have waited to have a decent amount of time clocked on games before writing this quick review, as these aren’t cheap and i wanted it to be honest and helpful to anyone wanting to spend this sort of money.
This thing runs like a monster. It breezes Starfield on high graphics settings, after a decent gaming session the GPU didn’t go over 81 degrees so we still had plenty of room before hitting any problems. The fans weren’t to loud at all.
The PC itself was built to perfection. Very tidy Cable management inside and everything seemed to be hooked up perfectly. They had set up windows and also set up the optimal settings for the GPU and components so this is literally a plug in and play PC build there was no need to really change anything.
My only negative is the built in WiFi card dosent support 5g, only 2.4 which for me gave me horrible Internet speeds for gaming. But this can easily be fixed with an adaptor set brought from Amazon which uses the wiring in your house to carry your Internet signal from your router to your chosen plug socket. After I sorted this is plugged the PC in using an ethernet cable and had no problems.
I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a pre build.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPC was dispatched, arrived very quickly and it was extremely well packaged! It runs as well as I had hoped considering the specs I chose! Coil whine has always bothered me in gpus in the past but the 4070ti in this build is really quiet thankfully!
Very happy with my purchase and was much cheaper than buying the components all separately.

    A few key points:
    – All the unused sata, psu cables etc were nicely boxed up in case you need them to add components at a later date
    – Supplied with a usb recovery stick which is an awesome little extra (it was nicely stored on the inside of the case)
    – Plenty of help and quick start guides for those that aren’t quite sure what they are doing
    – There was an engineer checklist which was a nice little addition, makes it feel like that extra bit of care was used when putting it together.

The only negative thing I could comment on is that the fans seem to be quite blustery, it’s like a stop start windy noise that I’ve never had on a machine before. Will have to look into it to see what’s causing it, but is a very minor issue.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHaving made the decision to replace my old desk top computer, hardly anything would run on it anymore, I spent some time looking at what was available. I am not a tech head and looking at the specs of all the computers was a bit daunting. However a friend of mine had recently bought a pc from Scan and he sugested that I look at their products. Looking through the Amazon site I came upon this pc from scan. It appeared to be reasonably priced for the specification and so I bought it.
Delivery came as expected, and then the surprises started. I have never seen/received any item that is so well packed. Bubble wrap around everything, including inside the pc. Every item safe and secure! The build quality is fantastic and the set up was straight forward with excellent step by step guides. Starting up the pc led me to a new world. I had obviously been living in the stone age with my old pc. The pc has run every programme and game that I have tried with ease. Speed is excellent and the cooling fan is very quiet.
I have no problem recomending this pc and the Scan company to anyone looking for a new pc.
