    Does what it should
I have no complaints about this charging cable. It’s nice and long so I’m not stuck hunched in the corner by a power outlet whilst my phone is charging. The quality feels good, I’ve been using for a few weeks now and it hasn’t broken which is a plus and for the price, you can’t really go wrong. I’m using this with my Samsung phone and it works just as well as my original.

    Value USB C cable
This USB C cable is cheap but still seems to be of decent quality. It’s a decent thickness while still being flexible and is weighty which is reassuring when it comes to durability. The only change I would make is to use molded end supports but the strain relief seems sufficient and I have no worries about this surviving bends.

    A higher quality USB cable
What tends to happen with a lot of the lower price USB charging cables is that after a while the cheaper items tend to fail and fall apart. This cable is different. As soon as you remove it from the packaging you can tell the cable was built to last. It just feels weightier and more sturdy. Which inspires confidence, as cable tend to get abused, getting pulled and yanked out of phones, stepped on, tripped over. This cable is thick and I believe it would stand the test of time. Highly recommended!

    Great for charging and data
Well made cable which works well as a phone/device charging cable but much to my surprise also works very well as a data cable for a 1TB external SSD hard drive in an emergency too.

Does the job for a very reasonable price and seems well made/decent quality so happy to recommend this one 🙂

    Feels OK quality, useful length
I tested this Charger with a USB-A charge tester (ASIN: B0B96X5Z1S) and a genuine Samsung Adaptive Fast Charger EP-TA200 plugged into my Samsung Note20. I did try a Samsung Superfast USB-C charger (EP-T800) via a USB A to C adapter but I only managed 5W via that configuration, lol.

Whilst the Note20 should be good for 25W Superfast charging, the best I managed was almost 15W with the cable, though that’s the max the Samsung Fast Charger (EP-TA200) can manage.

I have to wonder if there are any chargers that can genuinely push 30W through a USB A plug, I’ve not encountered any.

For 2.99, the cable is reasonable value but if you’re expecting to be able to charge at the claimed 30W, be sure you have a USB A charging source that can deliver that.

    Good quality
Cable is a little thicker than most cheaper ones. Even though it is quite flexible and easy to coil up if stored. The cable is secured to the connector ends well and seems as though it will be good for a while. Worked well when used for charging and a good purchase at the price show

    Quality usb c lead
This charges my Pixel 7 fast with a fast charging plug.
It’s a good quality lead, well made.
Only fast charges with a fast charger though. If I plug this cable into the usb sockets on my sofa, it’s nowhere near as fast as with a plug.
    Good quality, good value.

More than just a charging cable
Although advertised as a charging cable, the cable I received (which was 2 metres long with a white insert to the USB-A plug) also supports USB 2.0 data transfer; it’s not a “charge-only” lead, so you can use it to transfer photos and movies to/from your device.

The cable doesn’t have a braided screen (unlike the illustration) but does have the foil screen, which is more than some cables have at least (some of the “bootlace” style cables have no shielding at all).

    Basic but good
A very long and basic cable.
It comes in an unmarked plastic bag, so would be unsuitable as a gift. The cable is unbranded and secured with cardboard, and the cable itself is coated in plastic.
While it is basic it feels well made and it’s carrying charge perfectly well.
All round good, but nothing special.

Can't argue about the value for money, and it does seem to support fast charging...
…although the cable I ordered was supposed to be a 1mtr length. The one I received is 2mtrs long. Also, the illustration on the product page suggests that the inner plastic block on the USB plug is a purple colour, which may just be some applied creative “graphical style” for the illustration – but the cable I received had a standard white inner plastic block. Another two of the product page images show a “5A” mark on the collar of the USB-C plug… but there was nothing like that on my cable. Does all this matter? – probably not but it all suggested to me that the cable I received did not look quite like the one I saw on the product page. The markings and inner plastic block differences are, frankly, no big deal but mainly I wanted a 1mtr cable and the 2mtr cable sent to me is far too long for my preferred requirements.

The cable is branded as “dashmag” on the product page but apart from the USB symbol on the larger plug there is no branding on the actual cable, nor on the barcoded label on the polythene bag the cable was packaged in. The cable does however seem to be a decent quality (especially when you consider the price of under 3, quite remarkable). The actual cable isn’t too thick, is nice and flexible and I like the slightly matte and smooth cable covering. The connection USB plugs look and feel fine too.

I ordered the cable to replace an original cable that came with one of my smartphones. The cable had suffered badly over the years and was now heading for the waste bin (it probably should have been binned a long time ago!). I tested the new “dashmag” cable with the smartphone’s original charging adapter and, sure enough, the phone informed me that it was ‘fast charging’. That’s good enough for me for a sub 3 cable.

There’s no question that this is a remarkably low price for a cable that can handle fast charging and so I am only deducting a star purely because I really did not want a 2mtr cable – my order was for a 1mtr cable which I would have much preferred.
