I tested this by plugging it into a US to UK adaptor. All charging ports behave as described and the build quality and finish seem decent. The amount and variety of USB ports means that I wont have to take a seperate USB adaptor when I go next to the US. And it’s fairly compact.

I liked that the adapter’s UK sockets open and close easily when pushing plugs into it, although on first use of the adapter’s shaver sockets I thought they might be blocked or faulty, but in the end it I realised that they required a little more of a shove to get the plugs to engage.
Having used Mscien’s UK to EU travel adapter, I think this brand is a particularly good choice, although it would be nice if all of their travel adapters could be plugged into each other for even greater compactness.
Says what it does
It feels like an alright product, does what it says it does and doesn’t feel like it will catch fire or explode on me. Comes with 2 usbs and 1 usb C which is nice for if you want to plug your phone in or anything like that, good addition to my kitchen.

This MSCIEN Travel Plug Adapter is very nicely made. It has streamlined curved edges which make it look and feel smart and good quality. The options for what you can plug in are more than I have seen on any other Travel Plug. There are 2 UK plug slots – 2 USB – 1 USB C – 2 Shaver Sockets. If I was going to America I would certainly only need to take this one Travel Plug with me.
This is where my mistake was. I didn’t realise that this is a travel plug for America even though it does say so in the description – you can see full list of places you can use it in the main description too. So, I can’t give a full review but I can say that it seems good quality. I tried my USB C wire in the slot and it clicked very nicely into place with a good firm hold, so did the USB and a normal English Plug. I haven’t got a shaver so couldn’t check that connection but I have no doubts that it would be a good fit judging by the others I tried. I have used travel Plugs many times and some are so flimsy and rattle inside, not this one. It is a solid design but really Light in weight.
So, if you are off to America or if you live there I would recommend this Travel Plug. I know good quality when I see it.
Versatile travel adapte
This travel adapter has a load of options packed into it. On the front are two UK 3-pin sockets, on the top there are two shaver sockets, and on the bottom there are three USB ports (of which one is USB-C). They are positioned so that they could all be used at the same time.
I used this adapter in Thailand and it worked as expected – I was able to charge my phone and use a travel iron at the same time. Having all the sockets in one place was particularly useful, as it meant devices weren’t spread out all over the hotel room.
Great travel adapter with lots of options
I really like this travel adapter, which provides a number of different options for powering your device while away from home. Since I travel to the US relatively often, it is always rather inconvenient to carry around those big multi-standard adapters and plug things on top of those. This adapter is very sturdy and fits well in a US plug. It also has USB connection (2x USB A and 1x USB C), and the USB C provides fast charging to my phone, which means I have one fewer power adapters to bring along. The addition of the two European (or US) two-prong sockets is also quite nice, for things that I have which require a different standard. If nothing else I can unplug the nightlight in the hotel, plug this in, and then my phone and other UK adapters AND plug back the nightlight at the bottom of this adapter.

Lots of ports
Measuring 11.3cm x 5.7cm tall x 46.8vm thick and weighing 136g, this has a rather large amount of ports / options, including
– 2 x UK 3 pin outlets
– 2 x USB A ports
– 1 x USB C port
– 2 x 2 pin shaver outlets
Essentially, enough ports for a trip to the US and for charging mobiles, iPads and the like.
It can run up to 7 devices and can handle a max power of 3250W (I won’t ever be using this much).
Its positives are that it’s great for travelling with. The 3 USB C connections prove invaluable so don’t need to carry 3 extra plugs.
Being compact and lightweight, it’s easy to transport.
Overall a good bit of travel lot
I also like the fact that it comes with a round grounding or earth pin.
The Type B plug has two flat parallel blades like the Type A, but also has a round grounding or earth pin that grounds the device before the power is connected.
The plug slots into local sockets perfectly well and works effectively. Doesn’t wobble.
Charging speeds seemed similar to UK.

Good travel adaptor with caveats
This is a nice travel adaptor for areas with a USA style plug.
It gives you two UK 3-pin style plugs out of the socket, as well as 2-pin ports for shavers which are underneath the adapter. On the top you get 2 USB A ports and a USBC port, which is a great number of ports helped by a power LED indicator on the main surface. The overal sizing isn’t too bad, however there area few issues with this design.
The USA plug is on the right hand side of the adaptor, so if you come across a socket next to a wall or already have something on the left, you will not be able to use this. The other caveat is that the three pins at the back of the adaptor do not go back in, which makes this adaptor a bit more troublesome to take with you abroad as I can see the pins bending under weight, so remember to carry the box with you.
The last thing, which is more of a difference in countries is that this is not a voltage adaptor, as this will not convert power it may mean certain things will not work or will not work well.

Today we have a lovely twin socket travel plug.
It comes in a cardboard box and interestingly has the instructions printed on the plastic packaging inside.

Today I have plugged in a USB speaker, a set of USB lights, and a phone.
The lights are twinkling away nicely, the speaker is charging, but the phone? It’s barely registering a charge!
This socket promises 12W of power across the three USBs. With all three running I get 1.5-2W on the phone, but with them out, I’m getting 3-5W.
While it under-delivers in power, this little thing makes up for it with the sheer convenience!

This adapter has a great weight to it, it’s solid, well made and isn’t flimsy plastic.
I ordered it as every couple of years I like to take a cheeky trip to the states to see my pals, Mickey and friends. As a family, it’s always a battle who gets the usb port or the plug socket. This looks ideal to suit our needs with a mixture of plugs, ports for our older model iPhones and the c port for my sons newer iPhone and Samsung. It will save us taking individually plugs and cables, reducing much needed space in the suitcase.
Although I cannot fully test it as yet, I’m confident it will be perfect and it’s a much needed upgrade from our individual single adapters which aren’t great and wobble in the sockets.
Considering the quality of this, I think it’s great value for money.
Good quality and versatile
I was very impressed even as I took this out of the box. It is compact and robust – very well designed and manufactured. Quality.
I have a number of travel plugs for the USA, but they are all very flimsy and none are grounded. I always have problems with them falling out of the sockets, but this one is different as it has the ground pin which is safer, but also gives stability.
No longer will I have to take several plugs with me, as this one has everything I need – two UK sockets, two 2 pin sockets for my toothbrush, and the all-important USB sockets, which I have never had before in a travel plug.
An absolutely fabulous piece of kit which will be invaluable on my travels, and which will take up much less space in my luggage than my previous assortment of plugs.
Good adaptor with a variety of ports
This has everything you need for travelling to the USA and other countries on the list. A great variety of ports, including 2 pin ports (for shavers and the like I guess) at the bottom side of it.
Note that this is not a voltage adaptor (which is clearly written on the packaging), as the USA uses 120v and in the uk we use 220v, however this will work find for charging things like mobile phones, portable mini humidifiers – just might be a tad slower. But if you are using a heated appliance (hairdryer, straighteners, travel kettle etc) which need more power, you should check if your appliance is a dual voltage one. If not, you may need to buy a voltage adaptor. Do your own research on this to make sure.
The price of 16.99 (at time of reviewing) is 16.99 which I think is steep but I have not removed a star for this because of the number of ports it has. I wouldn’t use all those ports so a smaller type plug would be fine for me.
