This digital portable air inflator arrived in a well-presented branded cardboard box sealed with plastic and included in the box is the rechargeable air compressor / inflator, a grey drawstring storage pouch, x4 adapters (a ball needle, a swimming ring adapter, a bike valve adapter and air bed adapter), a 50cm quick release air hose, a short USB-C to USB-A charger and an information booklet. The air compressor measures 13.5cm x 7.4cm x 4.9cm and there are five pre-set modes to the electric pump — bikes, motorcycles, cars and balls as well as custom, which is good if you are unsure of the pressures required. The device has a memory function which can remember the previous pressure setting and it also automatically stops when it reaches the predetermined pressure.

To select the pre-set modes, you use the bottom button (which is a circle with an arrow) and then use the plus and minus buttons to adjust accordingly to the desired pressure level. To start inflating press the on/off button and to turn the device on and off you will need to hold the same button down for a few seconds. The device can deliver 150psi of pressure and has a bright integrated LED HD 3-inch display screen which indicates the current pressure level and desired pressure level (the LED screen is only visible when the device is on).

The device is very simple to use — connect the air hose to the inflator, connect to the tyre valve and turn the device on. Input the target pressure and begin the inflation, it will continue until it hits the target and then automatically stop. I tested this out on our cars and it inflated them well — there was also minimal leakage when detaching the connector from the valve. The pressure seems to be accurate and although the device is noisy (as most compressors are), it does dissipate the heat produced well and doesn’t feel like it is going to overheat (due to the built in cooling fan) despite doing four tyres one after the other. It was also reasonably quick as well.

The pump itself is very smart looking and comes with a bag to store the device and the additional adapters. It shuts off automatically after a few minutes to maintain battery life and has a large 5200mAh rechargeable battery and although this does make it reasonably heavy, I think that the device provides great flexibility. The device comes with a one-year warranty and the device also doubles up as a power bank with a LED light which can act as an SOS too. Priced at 24.99 at the time of reviewing, this is a great cost-effective option with all the fittings you could need. It is a good quality inflator set which provides good accuracy so I would definitely recommend.

Everything says quality with this little item. It’s well built and feels lovely to hold. Very straightforward to operate and feels really reliable. Not sure yet how long it lasts on a charge but I have done four tyres from almost flat and battery indicator shows over half left.

This comes in stylish packaging and look and feels expensive. With it, you get various adapters, a USB A to USB C lead and a handy carrying pouch.

The device is chunky and solid, the controls on the front are neat and the display is big. In operation, it has five preset modes, car, bicycle, motorbike, ball, and a custom mode that remembers the pressure you set it at. The controls are logically laid out, they’re rubberised and have a good positive click to them. There’s plus and minus buttons to alter pressure. A light button to switch between three lighting modes, torch, slow red strobe and fast red strobe. A button to cycle through the pressure presets, and to alter the units between PSI, BAR, KPA and Kg/cm. Finally, there’s a power button which serves not only to toggle main power but also to start/stop pumping.

The device doubles as a powerbank. It has both a USB A and USB C port, with the the USB C being input only. The USB A doesn’t support modern fast charging protocols. Battery capacity is a claimed 5200mAh, discharging it at 1A, I measured 4156mAh, short of the claimed amount but not enough to be of concern.

The first inflation test I did was topping up my car tyres, it was fast and quiet though it must be noted, I do not have have a separate pressure gauge to measure accuracy.

For my second test, I wanted to see how much use you could get out of it on a single charge, so I took an old flat car tyre and inflated it from 0 to 25PSI, then measured the consumed battery capacity. Tyre inflation took a total of four and a half minutes, the device didn’t seem overly stressed and ran cool throughout. It used 860mAh, a little over 20% of the total battery capacity. This will easily top up all your tyres, multiple times on a single charge, or handle a couple of larger tasks.

The standout feature for me is the screen is. It’s large, bright and highly visible, even in sunlight.

This is a truly useful gadget! I think this is brilliant, particularly at its current price of 19.99. It’s simple to use, very intuitive, with chunky buttons that are easy to press and give good feedback. Also, I think the stylish design and packaging would makes this a great gift for keen motorists.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI use it to check and adjust my motorcycle tyre pressures, it is very accurate checked against a quality pressure gauge. It is also small enough to fit under the seat on the bike os I will always have it with me.

Bought simply to avoid having to run cables round the car from the accessory socket.

Quick & easy to use, auto shut off at desired pressure.

Took a tyre from 28psi to 36psi in under a minute & not noisy either, bought a second for my wife’s car as she struggles with the plug in versions
