Needs work out of the box
Done 300 miles now, first one had a bad battery, eventually got a refund and bought another one. Needs work out of the box, I had to rebuild most of it, for example disk breaks were well out of alignment, stem was very lose, and you will want to grease alot of bolts to get the correct torque, once all that was done she works fine, battery will do miles on medium speed.

Mine has lasted a year of daily cycles. 60-80 miles a week. I’ve had the pas sensor replaced, few punctures early on before I used slime, the valves used to get decapitated from the rotational force of the wheels.
Accidentally the battery short circuited once through attaching it, but Amazon provided credit for the purchase of 11 amp hour battery, which improved things. The brakes are fiddly, mine ended up damaging the disks and so the brakes only last a few weeks.
Furthermore at some point, the controller started to shut of the motor within 8 seconds of pedalling, so you have to apply brakes or stop pedalling for a second before you can go on again. An annoying trait that I lived with, and has defined the bike for me. Moving on to a more sturdy bike now my work has financed it, but this is definitely worth it for 700ish. Just expect some tinkering

Great bike even for me with health problems.
Haven’t rode a bike for 5.5 years due to a bad knee injury which still gives me problems now along with COPD lung disease and other problems. Day one, I managed to ride 3.6 miles with pedal assist only on 2 steep hills. Not a great distance, but for me and my condition it all makes a difference. I am so happy I bought it, very easy to ride with and without assist mode.

Not the battery shown in the pic’s so listed battery life will not be the same.
But still works great for my needs. 1 star off because of the battery change.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe bike is great for the money but I wish it had a better battery.
Okay so let me start by saying, for the money you will not find better. The bike itself would be around the 300 mark without the electrics so for an extra 350ish you get the electrics which is decent value. The bike looks good and rides fine, even the gears and brakes were setup fine out of the box. The only thing for me that let’s it down a little is I would’ve preferred a slightly bigger battery as the range for me is about 10 miles (I’m 16+ stone) but it gets me about and to work and back okay. How about an option with a bigger battery?

My knees are shot to the point of riding my usual non ebike voodoo mountain bike was too much. I took the plunge on swifty as it was a great price and you get Amazon customer service with that and it has had me back out enjoying my rides again.

So I live in hills close to the peak district and when I ride my route it has 1250 FT in elevation and my route is 16.56 miles. The swifty just about does this, its hard to tell as the battery indicator is flakey at best and I do not think it ever gives an accurate reading, it will drop to 1 bar on the last few hills but When im home its on 2 bars, I think at a push the range would be around 20 miles and thats pulling 105kg about. (I know this and thats what im trying to fix lol)

My fitness is there for this route and this where the swifty may let me down, I would like to be pushing 25/30 miles but even with less weight this bike would struggle.

I am only 6 months in with this bike but I am already looking at replacements that have a bigger battery and a longer range.

***Changes made on purchase, Pedals taken off my voodoo (supplied pedals went straight in the bin where they belong), Mud guards, tires and tubes, handle bar height extender, 2 x bottle cages (1x is fine for the range), lights and tool kit.

***Fixes From purchase. Corrected derailleur settings as it was out and would not hit one of the gears. Corrected the brakes, again not set up correctly so they would rub and squeak.

Expect to do some fine tuning on purchase!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersBudget ebike with budget components
Had this bike for 10 weeks, do about 100 miles a week commuting to work and back, quite easy to assemble, the only difficult part, was the bolts that go into the handlebars, they just didn’t want to go in, a bit of grease made it easier, I replaced the seat, uncomfortable, gave me a numb bum, also replaced the handlebar grips, really small and uncomfortable, put some proper MTB clipless pedals on and replaced the tires with some schwalbes. The alleged suspension is completely useless from a company I’ve never heard of they should have just used a normal fork, Battery life is ok, I climb about 1000 ft on my commute to work, and only lose 1 bar on the power display, pulls quite well up hills, you feel it slightly when you go over 15mph, but you still get a good workout, and burn calories, I usually burn about 700 calories on a normal bike on this ebike about 500, and it does come in handy, on a windy North Yorkshire morning, slight complaint the chain pops off every now and then, but worth it to get about, if like me you don’t drive, and there isn’t much public transport where you live, one more thing, the disc pads are appalling, they wore out almost immediately, I got some cheap ones of Amazon, if you need them they are 20mm height, and 30mm width. One more thing, I needed to replace the gear chain, and the man in the bike shop, said it had way to much gearchain, and that is why it was popping off, update also had to replace the rear cassette, it changes gear a lot better now with a a nice new fat chain, and cassette.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersA REVIEW AFTER ONE YEARS USE, AND SO FAR I'M IMPRESSED 5 STARS.
Well i purchased this bike one year ago so what you are about to read is a pretty accurate description of the it’s overall performance.
Well for the price you pay i have to say it’s more than impressive. The bike has done on average around 40 miles a week and will do about 25 miles per charge, that’s on power setting 2. I have had a couple of issue’s with it but these were not to major and the amazon customer service was pretty good it has to be said. Now i really would advise you to to upgrade a couple of things on the bike, firstly the seat, it’s a bit harsh on the backside to say the least! And also get some mudguards as it goes pretty fast on level 3 and your back will be dirty in no time. As for the general overall build of the bike again for the price range it’s good.
I have to say in total honesty you may very well decide to get rid of your car after a month or so with one of these bikes, petrol prices being what they are the bike will pay itself off in no time. Again i will point out i waited a year to write this so you are reading a pretty accurate statement of the bikes overall performance. If your thinking of getting one i would have to say stop thinking about it and buy one, their amazing. Oh one last thing be sure you buy a good lock as thieves are probably very likely to also like your new bike.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersexcellent value.. easy to use electric assisted mountain bike.
I’ve been a cyclist for 65 years, riding most days, done my share of urban commuting and cycle touring. The bike is still my favourite means of transport but as my body ages I cant do speed or long distance and hills are hard work. With this new machine I am pnce again confident to go for a 20 mile ride and love the way it powers me uphill without puffing and panting.

It would have been nice, and worth another 70 if the bike had come with panier rack and mudguards fitted. I have bought and added these items, as well as brackets for lights. Personally I would have preferred somewhat narrower tires, but when the first pair wear out I will change them.

one small anxiety is about a few squeaky noises, from the disk brake area, which came not perfectly aligned.

I also wonder how long the motor and battery will last, though at my age it could well outlive the rider.

When this bike arrived, I put it together with ease, first time I used it, I thought it was quite nippy, but I only could get around twelve miles out of it before battery died, if I was on flat it would probably do around 15 miles,
Because of the battery I would say its more useful for a around town bike, unless you get a more powerful battery for i

Beautifuly packaged, good tools supplied, fairly simple to put together, took me about 4 hours and then…. Bloody hell, I’ve just rode my from workplace to mum and dad’s, it’s like a pushbike but with a bloody turbo attached to it! Last time I rode a bike regularly was about 20 years ago, I’m probably about 18 stone (Hence getting a bike) and I’m 6 foot tall, anyone under 15 stone would probably need hand restraints for the handlebars, I love it! I’ll edit the review accordingly once I’ve seen how well the battery performs, but I’ve road it 5 miles today in Mode 3 and it hasn’t dropped a single bar on the indicator. Highly recommend this for your first power assisted bicycle.

    Great bike but poor breaks
Easy to assemble and relatively well made bike that is reasonably fast and able to handle any terrain well. The biggest flaw with this bike is very poor quality breaks that failed on me and nearly casued a serious accident. I strongly recommend replacing the disc breaks on this bike as they are dangerous. You will also need better tyres as these are poor quality for off road with not a lot of grip. 7/10 for value though and still cheaper to get this bike and add a few better quality components than getting a more expensive ebike.

So today 02/06/2022 came this bike at 8:30 in the morning, quickly assembled it in 20 min max and only because i was in chill mode :-), everything on mounting stage went smooth no problems at all!
After finish to mount it i had a ride on it for 30 minutes around the city i am living, i can say that this bike it is awesome in all aspects, suspensions are great, brakes are pure good enough, shimano brilliant working without problems, battery came nearly fully charged and to mount it is very easy with a good and strong lock system, engine wheel powerful(to much powerful) and i am very impressed, the frame doesn’t look cheap at all and i love it!
Weight of the bike is a bit high but that doesn’t affect the engine at all.
What more i can say about this bike than just wow!
    Worth it.

    Game change
My first ebike and this bike is just incredible. I drive 3 miles to work in a Jag, on a steady pace I can do the same route in give or take a minute, the same time.
    Without, breaking into a sweat!
I’m around a 100kg this bike pulls away with unnerving power.
I struggle to find anything negative about the bike. Assembled in less time than to top up the charge for the battery. Comfortable, yeah OK there’s no leather adjustable seats or flappy paddle gear shift, but there again, this doesn’t cost over a 100 quid to fill the tank up!
If you are hesitant about hybrid peddle power, don’t mess about or procrastinate. Just get it.
BTW I’m 5 10 and with seat in the lowest position, my feet just touch the ground.

Good bike, cut my Journey by half, only 14 minutes more than my car. Down side saddle like sitting on a rock , most uncomfortable
saddle I had ever been on infact spent most
of my first ride off the saddle , and ordered a softer wider saddle on getting home. Also soon as it was delivered it went down in price.

Good if you don’t have to travel too far for work and back
I do like the bike but I wish the battery was better for distance, I travel about 10 miles on the highest setting, have 1-2 hills to climb back and forth and the battery will be down to 2-3 bars, I’m in a position where I could charge it in work if need be,

Only other issue is the seat, It isn’t very comfortable but easy to swap ou

If you’re under 5’6″,give it a miss,I’m just that and it’s just about the right height.
I use it to compute to and from work which is a 10 mile round trip with 50/50 flat to hill ratio,I use full assist all the way and still have at least 50% battery remaining so would guess it would easily do 20 miles on full assist, probably more like 30 if used correctly.
    Would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersNobody died
The bike was bought for a friend so I am writting this vicariously, i wasnt allowed in the living room until it had been built, he said he took his time thats why it took 15 minutes to build. Aesthetics we opted for the grey and yellow and were very impressed with its sleek design, and as neither of us had seen an ebike before we were happily surprised at how much like a normal bike it looked. 1st gripe as the battery sits where the water bottle holder usually sits no water bottle carrier, not a hughe deal. There are also these amazing things called backpacks they have water bottle holders and as an added bonus can carry your keys lunch and phone in, really not that bigger gripe.2nd gripe the seat almost in every review mentions how uncomfortable the seat is, well that bits true but again with the 900 plus pounds we saved compared to the same level of bike, we splurged out and got a matching black and yellow gel seat for 24.99. Again not that bigger gripe and easily surmounted. Last but not least performance and battery life. Well it got my friend there and home in 1 charge 18 miles. He works 9 miles away for work and it usually takes 10 minutes to get home in the car On the ebike it did take 20 minutes with a 5 minute break. But this was he’s first ride out. I should expect it will get easier the longer it goes on. All in all battery power fine, ease of use fine, he literally just picked it up and rode away, there was a little whinging but also an admittance that if it hadn’t been for the ebike he wouldn’t of made it on pure pedal power. Conclusion great introduction in to the ebike world very practical, great price, 9 stars. I had to take one off for the seat, to put that much effort in to the design of the bike but such little thought in to the seat is a bit disappointing. I did also refrain from name dropping, but all the essential bits are made by renowned players. Ultimately it did exactly what it says on the tin, got him to work and back with no major issues, apart from a sore bum which we’ve resolved and albeit a little worn out due to the out of practice exercise. No body died…………. watch this space will keep you updated if anything changes from day 1 so far very impressed. I forgot to mention the plus. It even comes with a kickstand!!!!!!
Day 2 again nobody died!! We really need that gel seat before he starts strapping a cushion to his seat!!! But bike worked even better that yesterday now he’s used to it. Still only needing 1 charge to get from work to home and some sudecrem Day 3 the gel seat came I thought for a minute he was going to cry. Life is really easy now bike still going strong still doing 18 mile on one charge, the gel seat is essential though, it’s that or sudacrem and I wasn’t appyling it!! 90 days, still going strong, even better now the lighter nights are here really can’t express how impressed I am. Don’t usually make comments or reviews but this bike has been a game changer for my friend after his cars clutch went and he couldn’t afford to get it fixed. It is a better decision than he made when purchasing his ca

Good value for money esp I got 38% off . Very easy to assemble just had to re adjust the front brake to fit the wheel . But nothing to difficult. The only think I don’t like is the pedles they look old style and don’t sute the bike at all I’ve swapped them for orange flat dmr pedals. The ride is smooth brakes are sharp . This is the second e-bike that I have owned, and it is inferior to the previous one (different brand) but was cheaper. My other one cost 850 about 5 years ago. I sold it on because I no longer needed it. Looking at that same company, a similar bike is now over 1100. Seeing this for sale at under 800 caught my interest (luckily, I kept watching and actually paid 576 – I’d say it is worth that but I’d have been disappointed at the current 810).

It took me about 20 minutes to set it up. No problems with that. Brake adjustment took another 5 minutes but nothing else needed adjusting.
It does not come with mudguards, so bear that in mind for cost comparisons.
When the battery gets to about half-power, it is significantly weaker in terms of the power available to the rider. I started feeling it get weaker after about 20 miles.
    Saddle is very hard.
    It only has 7 gears.
The tyres are rubbish. I will be changing them when I get around to it.
It looks nice compared to a lot of e-bikes..

My overall view is that this is not a great bike, and is probably not suitable for people who need it for long journeys. If you need a cheaper get-around kind of bike, and you can get it cheaper, then it is a reasonable option. I only need to commute for 4 miles each way, and it will do for that.

It’s been a very decent bike to use so far and I am happy riding it but the tyres are cheap could be better I ain’t so keen in the seat it hurts your bum on long rides frame size.is okay for me but would prefer bigger frame size. I’m 6’9 and the bike seems like a medium size. Battery life seems okay wish it had more battery life to last long was out for a 4 hour ride 29 miles and it wasn’t fully charged but lasted for 3hrs 30mins on a assist 2

Forgetting the electric part for the moment you also get a really nice, good quality mountain bike. Yes it now comes with coppercell rather than Panasonic, but I have tested the range and you get a solid 25 miles on level 3. I love it. I regularly do 6 miles on it and don’t break a sweat. I’d recommend a gel seat cover of you’re not a regular cyclist as the seat was a bit hard for me.

Fab upgrade to previous model same spec model 5*****
4 years ago I brought the same spec electric bike in a similar store Cost 50 more. This is a definite change Its light when carried up or down flight of stairs which I have. The design is sleek it looks like a 1500 electric bike Its bright very well built (recommend that you get it built by professional so it’s got all gears) and comfortable to ride. The 3 power settings are good enough for a standard 8 mile ride which is what I do daily with a trailer attached its perfect.
The tyres are great too ideal for off road and on road.
Over all this is a much improved model for the same as I brought before 100% under priced its excellent product and with the two year guarantee it’s got my 5***** rating on 90% of my review just got to see if the battery lasts out for all my home deliveries

So, had an issue with the first bike, the whole chain was off after the first ride, gears were stuck and the battery seemed to have a life of its own, But Amazon customer service was A1 unlike the help number I called in the booklet, a girl bluntly told me send it back, it’s covered in the warranty but only for parts you’ll have to pay the labour! I told her that I wasn’t paying labour for a product I’d only had for 7 days and used once AND has also paid Halfords to inspect it before it was used for the first time to double check it was ok and that I would contact Amazon directly as they have always had excellent customer service when I’ve dealt with them before unlike this call. Amazon were marvellous and sent a replacement straight away (did offer full refund too) so today I got to take it out for the first time and oh my goodness what a thrill! Before I had thought I was SO unfit from lockdown I couldn’t even ride an E Bike without needing oxygen!! Turns out the old battery must not have been functioning properly because when I got on this expecting the same experience I shot off like a rocket! Not sure who was more surprised me or the dog sat in the front basket! It was awesome! There are 4 levels 0 – 3 I literally spent most of the day going from 1 to 0 because it was so powerful my Apple Watch recorded I had done an average of 11 mph and that was with stops when i didn’t pause watch! I put it in 3 to go up a steep hill and it just breezed it! My dog is 12 1/2 now and can’t walk as far as she used to do this has just opened up a new life for us! She still gets to run across the fields and exercise but now we can go further and for longer I read a few blogs before buying an E Bike and this one was recommended #1 on 3 sites that I saw, for the money it’s awesome! I have purchased a rear rack that fits well and of course installed the front basket, highly recommend! Also re battery I rode for nearly 2 hours and only in the last 10 mins did the battery got to level 3 and I’m very unfit right now. (Battery has 4 red lights that indicate battery life) like other owners I purchased a new seat and handle bar extension. The fact the front wheel is a quick release is a massive plus because I can actually fit it into the back of my car on the rear seat of a saloon car (BMW 5 series) with relative ease.

Great bike, read into it a lot and even asked someone’s opinion at a bike shop. The build was easy peasy – I did it on my own in 5/10 mins. All put together the bike looks really smart. Due to other reviews, I purchased a handlebar extender and I am glad I did. Just for comfort for back positioning, I needed them a little higher. I’m 5ft 6inches and normally ride an 18′ frame bike. i bought 2 of these with the hope my partner and I could both ride them as the frame size wasted listed anywhere. Sadly it is a 20′ frame so just that little bit too big. Between the seat and handle ars is 26 inches and on a 18′ bike its 23 inches. So i found i was reaching for them. Also on the bottom of the seat pole, i was on tiptoes. Okay to ride, but not long term. So i would only recommend this bike if you are 5ft 7 inches and above.. I have returned one bike and kept the other for my partner. He is 6ft and fits it fine. He used it to work today and loved it. Great bike and great price. Just not if your under a certain height.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGood bike and decent range.
Bought this while it was on special offer and have been very pleased with it. I’ve used it a few times now and have only needed to use the first of the three power settings for most hills. The box states that it’s about 20.5kg so it is usable, even without power assistance, although it’s then fairly heavy going uphill.

The bike was quite well set up when it arrived – I haven’t had to adjust the gears or brakes so far, which is unusual. I did find that I didn’t like the position of the handlebars so I bought a riser for the stem which has made things much better.

The brakes were disappointing initially but have now bedded in and are working much better. I can’t say what the overall range is (the manual gives a range of 30 miles) but I probably did about 12-14 miles this morning and the battery indicator dropped to about 3/4 when going up a reasonable hill. Do note that the indicator only seems to drop from ‘full’ when under load. I suspect that it would be easy to think that you have a full battery when it’s actually nearly empty. The given 30 miles is probably quite accurate.

The only disappointment was in receiving a bike with a Ceppercell battery of 7.36AH rather than the higher capacity Panasonic advertised. The Coppercell battery seems decent but the consequent reduced range is disappointing.

Unlike a few reviewers, I’ve not yet had any issues with tyres popping or problems fitting the pedals. That said, I haven’t used mine for proper off-roading – just local trails so the tyres haven’t been under undue strain. Like the rest of the bike, they actually seem to be quite decent. As regards the pedals, do remember that one has a left hand thread and the other has a right hand thread. So, one is installed by turning it in the normal way, the other is installed by turning it backwards (as if you were unscrewing it) – this is so that the pedal doesn’t become loose while you are riding it. If you try to install the wrong pedal on the wrong side, you will have problems! They are labelled.

The only issue I’ve had to date is a squeak from the crank. This was down to a circular piece of plastic fitted on the inside of the chainwheel not being quite true and so rubbing. It’s part of the sensor mechanism that tells the bike when you are pedalling so as to actuate the power. I just pulled it away from the body of the bike a couple of mm and the squeak went away.

In summary, I’m really pleased with the bike.

Scanning for an ebike and I stumbled on this…

Ordered and no contact but then a big brown box arrived 2 days later

Its a 20 inch frame yay!!!

    A 27.5 wheeled bike and a 20 inch frame ..

    Awsome!!!!

Started to build up which is fitting front wheel removing alot of polystyrene and cable ties fitting all pots back to find an awsome bike…

Not got to ride yet as just about to get pedals on and … the method used to hold the wheel had damaged the frame… the ONLY complaint… Escalated and resolved..

What a bike… just need to wait for other bits before road test as these come a day later but a full selection of tools not pressed spanners and bits.. cannot fault…

Build pump up tyres set handlebars is best description… and its not 26 inch wheels or 17 inch frame from a major high Street…

Only other observations no water bottle mounts as I suspect not expected to do a trail but go to work… which I bought for

    But …

Money well spent for niggles etc and a strong motor bike … 30 miles that’s 2 days to work avoiding the congestion before charge and I’m not costing the environme

Bought two bikes one for my wife who is 5 foot 4 inch (if you are smaller than this probably the bike will be too big ) and one for myself at 5 foot 9 inch . We have changed the seats because I think with the bike being heavier the ride becomes stiffer , We have also put handle bar raisers on because the taller you are the more you lean forwards and the handle bars are not adjustable without raisers .
It is a different style of riding than a normal mountain bike because of the weight and the gears . 1st gear is like 3rd on a normal bike but that’s when you turn on the power assist and away you go .It does not take long to get used to it and get a smile on your face going up them hills.
The seats and raises cost about 30 for both bikes off the internet.
More expensive bikes will probably be better but for the money these are very good ( happy riding )

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally good value Electric Bike
Nothing to dislike about this bike . I was a little dubious when I ordered it as it was probably the cheapest electric bike I had seen . But as my first e bike there is really nothing to dislike about it . It was easy to put together , the instructions were very clear and concise and the support centre , which I haven’t yet needed to use , Is a local number . I’ve only been out 3 or 4 times on it but it’s turned cycling back into a pleasurable experience . The only problem I suspect that I’m going to have is making sure it doesn’t make me too lazy .
All in all though, it’s so far do good, and proving to be a great purchase .

After a year and 3500 miles I can say that yo almost a good bike.

    – Cassette clicking in one gear. Two bikes the same problem
    – Weak original battery, quickly discharges in the cold.
    + charges quickly.
    + Rides is a pleasure
    + 25 miles Easy

Golden Review Award: 98 From Our UsersI would give this bike 10 stars if I could.
Researched e-bikes for some time and really pleased with this purchase. The rear wheel is powered rather the front and tyres are all terrain or cross over. Not thick mountain nor wafer thin road, but just right for all terrains so long as you don’t want a specialist bike for one or the other. Prices can vary from cheap or ridiculous expensive, but if this is your first e-bike, then the price is perfect for a starter. Arrived on time in a huge heavy box and looks quite daunting. Don’t be worried as mostly pre-assembled. Just need to attach the saddle, handle bars, front wheel and pedals with tools provided. Once the battery is charged you are good go straight out of the box.

The ride is brilliant with pedal assist. Stop peddling or touch the brakes, motor stops. I’m in my sixties and have trouble with hills or riding into the wind. No longer as the four speed electric motor just kicks in and it is a go anywhere bike. Take busy round-a-bouts — a normal bike takes 20 — 30 seconds to build up to speed. This bike will keep up with the car in front while you go round without any effort at all.

I rode for an hour at the weekend and did about 25 miles and battery still had a full charge when I got back. You can still ride without any charge like a normal bike, but not so much fun.

You still have to pedal, so you still get exercise so win, win.

Only down side was the small rear reflector was broken off. I’m not going to quibble about that and just buy another one.

I can’t recommend this bike enough.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersGreat budget E bike
Pre ordered early August but arrived on the day I was told it would. Needed some assembly as expected with a delivered bike but pretty straight forward. You’ll need a pump for a presta valve but my mini pump does both so not a problem. Motor appears to be very efficient and on a 12 mile 1hour 50min ride yesterday which included hillsI only used 25% of battery. Bought this for my 5′ 4″ tall wife and she does need the seat all the way down. Good quality E bike and for the money I’d be surprised if you could find better.
