These headphones feel very comfortable on my large head, I find the sound quality reasonable, and I love the green LED lighting. Although I have headphones with better sound quality, I still love using this set for the comfort and looks.

Being something of an audio snob, I knew that the ‘Awinnasey Gaming Headset with Microphone for PC PS4 Headset Xbox One Headset Over Ear’ at 15.99 would need me to realign my expectations.

The box they come in give them a premium look, the headphones themselves look like they are well built with a nice contrast of black and lime green. With the headphone cord having the same colour scheme. The headphone cups are padded foam as is the headband support.

I don’t have a small head and these fit comfortably enough.
In use the sound quality is pretty good, finding a decent bass level and handling complex sounds with a decent level of competency. Considering the connection is through the headphone jack the volume that can be reached is pretty impressive.
I can’t say I noticed any noise cancellation at all apart from the obvious fact that the headphones will block some noise. Sound bleed from the headphones to the outside world is also fairly considerable – these are not discreet headphones.
The inline volume switch with mic on/off button is quite large but works well.
The sound quality on the mic is pretty decent, a quick test on mictest gave a decent result. The action of the mic o the side of the left headphone is also pretty nice.
The USB connection is just to power the led lights on the headphones, which are predictably green.

In summary, for the price this is a decent little headset. I probably wouldn’t bother plugging in the USB just for the lights personally but each to their own. For a spare headset or one used in solitude then it is capable of doing the job and at 15.99 they aren’t bad at all.

These headphones are good quality product. I have started using them from last two weeks. Sound and voice quality is quite good.
These headphones have noise cancellation feature as well. They are quite comfortable while you are using them. I have used them only for hour or so in a day.
    I would recommend this produc

My kid got this headset for when we have gaming nights together and so far so good. The sound seems to be good on his end, and I haven’t had any problems with the sound on my end either. They can feel a bit tight he said but nothing major that makes him not wanting to use the headset. Works really well. Would recommend!

These inexpensive headphones are a good cheap and cheerful option for kids or occasional gamers who want something rather better than a standard console headset.

Although the materials feel a little cheap, the sound quality is adequate – a little muffled and tinny compared to pricier brands, but ok – and the mic works well enough.

In summary, this is a good budget option but can’t really compete with more expensive brands.

I’ve been using this for just under a month. Spending on average a hour a day with the headset on. Just to note some days that may be for 2 hours other days I might not use it at all. But on average I’d say around an hour a day is fair.
Things I’ve noticed are for periods of time when I do wear it for longer periods the earphones do tend to get a little tight and uncomfortable.
I like the blue colour and lights but I discovered the lights didbn’t work when not using the USB plug.
The Mic quality seems great and I never had any problems with team mates not understanding me.
Now the quality of the ear phones themselves was perfectly good but the headset does advertise Surround sound. Something I found was lacking and didn’t really come across that well.
Generally I’m very happy with this headset since the price isn’t to bad and the overall quality both physically and performance was good enough for my simple needs.
    4/5

I’ve tested this headset for a variety of games over the past month. The noise cancellation is effective, making in-game communication clearer. The surround sound experience enhances gameplay, especially in action games. Comfort-wise, it’s good for long sessions, doesn’t press too hard on the ears. The need for an adapter for certain consoles is a minor inconvenience. Suitable for gamers seeking a immersive soundexperience.

I would love to know what the people who gave theses headphones 1 and 2 stars were expecting from a 16 pair of gaming headphones. For the price (15.99) they are great. These are great headphones for teens / beginner gamers / people who destroy their headphones when they have gamer rage.

They have a great feel to them, they do not feel cheap or plasticky at all. The sound is as good as you would expect from a 16 pair of headphones. When using it to play COD I had no issues hearing footsteps / gunshots etc. I also used the mic to talk to people in my party and the sound was just as good as my old pair of headphones. Why people expect 100 quality from a under 20 pair of headphones is beyond me. They do light up but you need an adapter if using with the xbox as you need a usb plug for the lights to work. PC users won’t have an issue with this as they have access to usb. I would say that they wouldn’t fit younger kids heads so I would say they are more suited for teens/adults.

These are a very nice headset that can be used on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

I found them to be really comfortable and were very easy to set up on PS4. I did briefly test them on my desktop and they worked ok, but I only gave it a rudimentary test on the PC as I didn’t want them for that.

They were good headphones but I did find one flaw that bugged me a little: They are sold as a RGB or LED headset and yet the cabling is such that it isn’t possible to comfortably have the led’s on whilst playing as the 3.5mm jack is inserted into the controller, but the led’s are turned on by plugging the usb-a into the PS4 itself and there is literally about 100mm of cable to facilitate this. So unless you want to hold the controller next to the machine; no led’s on. It doesn’t bother me, but very silly and poorly thought out nonetheless.

The led thing is a shame as I thought these were a nice quality headset and it was so comfortable; I could see these being used for hours without complaint.

Ok lets start with the price. These are extremely cheap for a reasonable headset. It wont win any awards for best in class but if your penny pinching then these will do just fine.

Sound is ok as is the microphone. They work and you can hear and be heard when using in apps.

Will they last? To be fair they seem solid enough and at this price will probably work out better value overall than some more expensive all singing all dancing headsets that seem to run into problems within a year.

4 stars from me. Purely from a price point these are a must if you are on a real tight budge

We used this for a Playstation 4 and 5.

When you open the packet it doesn’t look very promising. It comes in a bubble wrap bag unlike other products which come in moulded cases.

However, once using it all concerns are addressed. It’s very good; used it on my 8 year old nephew who found it very easy to use and very comfortable on his head. The ear pads were extremely comfortable and the device not heavy. The surround sound worked well, although he did report some leaking of sound which his mother could hear. The microphone was used for chatting with his cousin at a different location and the sound was excellent and clear and they could communicate with each other with no issues.

My nephew is quite a seasoned gamer and if he could find this comfortable and fit for purpose I’m sure that it will be the same for others. I asked him how many points out of 5 he would give it and he said 4! The other good thing is that these come with a 12 month warranty, so buy it with confidence.

As you can see in the video, this headset is large. The ear pads fully cover the ears and the headband is generously cushioned. However, it is nice and light, super comfortable for long sessions. The cable is extremely long at 2 meters (6.6 feet) and it’s braided for resistance to damage.

The headset can be used with a variety of game boxes, I have tested on two Desktop and one Laptop PC (Windows 7, 10 and 11). Modern PCs and game boxes have a jack plug socket that combines input (microphone) and output (headphones). For older PCs that have individual sockets for these, an adapter cable is included, which I have used on my Windows 7 PC.

The performance is really impressive – sound is true, with no static or noise. The microphone is good too, for both chatting (with other game players etc.) and recording. Given the quality, this headset really isn’t limited to games use. It is suitable for listening to music and your home office work too.

Suitable for teenagers and adults – most I think will find the headset fits straight out of the box, but they are adjustable to be larger.

Video: On a PC, click the maximise symbol, bottom right corner, to view the video full-screen. Tap ESC (Escape) key to leave full-screen mode. On a Smartphone, pinch in-out to adjust the video size.

The product photos are accurate, so I felt no need to add more. the headset arrives in a cardboard box, in a bubble wrap bag – a printed manual and 3.5mm 3 pole socket to dual 3.5mm plug adaptor cable (for PC use) completes the contents.

The padded headband and ear pads are very soft and comfortable, do not shut out too much noise (useful for me) and have not become too warm or uncomfortable over a couple of evenings of PC gaming.

Sound quality in the headphones is good, not great, but then – they are fine for gaming or conversation with no obvious weakness – plenty of volume is available, but sound does get a bit mushy with high bass content and high volume, in normal use this isn’t an issue.

The microphone is fine, in conversation with people who know how I ‘sound’ with a good quality microphone, no negative comments were made about sent audio, which makes a pleasant change for what is a budget headset.

The headstrap design is such that, if one wears glasses, putting on and taking off while wearing the headset is unobstructed (I have an expensive headset that is a struggle to do just this) which I consider a very good feature.

The LED illumination is suitably bright and garish – even the tip of the microphone boom has a green LED – power is provided by a USB plug, so the option to be lit up or not exists.

A brief summary: They are comfortable in extended wear, have very reasonable sound, and the cable is plenty long enough (about 1 metre) for normal use. (it is fabric coated and very flexible too) and the microphone appears to be of reasonable quality. The volume control & Mic mute switch is on a quite ‘chunky’ plastic block – but not particularly heavy, so still convenient.

Nicely made, good plastics and materials, the cables feel strong and braided to withstand the truama’s of gaming movements, with the exception the mix does feel a little fragile, but maybe stronger than it feels.
Very lightweisght, quite strong on the head so get a pinching feel, tried adjusting lengths – good range for all head sizes – couldn’t quite match my music headphones which feel like gloves.
Plugges and played straight away, the instant the USB went it the headphones lit up really brightly, in the dark could be like a aura around your head.
Got my tester grandson to put it through its paces as he’s a gamer, sounds were great, didn’t slip off his head, speaking through the mic, linked to his mate via internet, all clear and no problems with breakup or interference/ So from that point he thought they were great.
His only comment was the cable, he’s usually jumping around as he plays, so a couple of times he got carried away and caught up in them. He do usually use a wireless set (a mega expensive set bought by his other granddad) so he’s used to the freedom, but had he always been wired probably not an issue.
So all in all it got glowing reports, a lot fun playing his mate with Minecraft via the internet and he loved the bright lights to
    reasonably priced and work.

4.0 out of 5 stars Snazzy looking (especially when lit up) gaming headphones with mic.

It comes well packaged, with a 3.5mm splitter cable accessory for dual channel use. The headset has clear instructions as to how to plug them in to various items – PC/Notebook/PS4 etc. ‘Xbox one’ users without 3.5mm port will have to purchase an adapter though.
I found the headset quite heavy at 352 grams, compared to my other headset at 150 grams. It also fitted me well as an adult on the smallest setting. Considering that it is advertised as lightweight and for kids I would think that these are more suited for mid-late teens onwards.
They light up as advertised (see pictures) and the sound clarity is very good both receiving and sending – people on the other end of the conversations said that the quality was clear and crisp. The high end of the sound seemed a little dull, but the bass was acceptable enough. There is not really a ‘noise cancelling’ feature – just by putting on the headphones and the pads sealing around the ears makes any outside noise reduce. The same as other headphones.
The price is reasonable for what they are and do, I’d recommend them, but be wary about buying them for little ‘kids’.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Enough, But a Bit Heavy for Kids?
