A good option from BigJigs, this is a fun balance game, quite easy to do with tactile silicone pieces and wooden pieces, you can play together with a little or they can play on their own. This looks good on display too. Priced right.
The vibrant colours and attention to detail immediately caught my little one’s attention of this toy. Not only is it visually appealing, but it’s also incredibly educational and interactive. Watching him learn how to balance the pieces has been both entertaining and enlightening. At 18.99, it seems like a reasonable investment for its quality, but only time will tell if it holds up in the long run. Overall, I recommend it for little learners!
This stacking toy is well made from high quality wood and silicon. Wooden elements are painted with non toxic high quality paint. It is suitable for child around age one. It is montessori inspired educational toy that is great value for money. This toy can grow with your child and at first silicon pieces are great for teething, then stacking skill practice hand – eye coordination and finally when you kid will be older you can practice shape, colours and counting. I highly recommend this toy.
Challenging yet entertaining, this stacking toy has found its way into our daily playtime. The tactile pieces encourage fine motor skills, and it’s fascinating to see the concentration on little faces as they attempt to balance each piece. It’s not just fun; it subtly educates, improving coordination with every stack. The eco-friendly materials give peace of mind, knowing it’s safe for play and kind to the environment. A hit for both parent and child, doubling as a charming piece on the shelf when not in use.
This is a really sweet toy, clearly good quality. The stars are made of a sort of soft silicone material and the there are wooden stars and moons as well. So there’s different textures to explore. I just can’t understand why these types of toys are so expensive. It’s not hours of fun but it kept my son entertained for a few minutes.
Beautifully packaged toy (no plastic).
The balancing base is wooden, as are the moons and 2 stars. Then there are some silicone stars too, which is actually really good as they have a bit more grip to them to make it easier for little ones to balance them on the rocking base.
The size is also good, it is much bigger than other balance/stacking toys we have, and again this makes it much easier to play with for small hands.
A really nice toy, and its packaged so nicely ti would also make an excellent gift.
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.
I would say that the quality is excellent – the wooden pieces are all neatly finished, with no rough or splintered edges, and have a chunky, ergonomic feel (which is great for small hands). The silicone pieces are soft and fairly flexible, but sturdy, when used as part of the game. The colours and design are all true to life.
In terms of versatility, there are so many ways that you could stack the pieces, and each one tends to fit well with the next. Whilst playing, I soon learned that stacking too many items on one side will cause the moon to rock and fall over, so I could see how it would be challenging for a child. I actually gave the set to my own little ‘moon’ fan, who became very focused with it. It definitely inspires problem-solving and creativity.
Overall, a good value item.
My husband and I recently played a similar game on a coffee table using tetris like plastic elements on a white little wobbly platform.
Our boy who is only 18m old desperately wanted to take part but just couldn’t do it as it is way too difficult for him at that age. Too small elements and way too sensitive to knock over.
When I’ve seen this game, he just had to have it!
We played for about an hour last night, the focus and the puffy lips were incredible coming from my young man! Felt like I was falling in love with him for a millionth time!
I like that the elements are a mixture of wooden ones and silicone as it provides you with different textures and how things can be stacked.
All bits are finished well using child friendly materials only and the silicone parts are teething friendly! They’ll last even for the most furious teether from my experience with the products from this brand already.
Due to the quality of the materials and their durability, it is worth the 18.99 in my opinion and it is a very giftable toy.
5*!
