Although this a child oven lock I have used it to increase the efficiency of my over. Recently the hinges have become a little work so the door doesn’t close tightly. This has solved that problem for me. I’m sure it would be great if I had toddlers too!
The spring back mechanism broke on our oven, which was a shame as it otherwise worked fine. For months we have had to prop chairs against it to keep it shut when cooking.
Then I spotted this. I installed and it is ideal, keeping our oven door tight shut and so saving hundreds of pounds in replacing it. Our kids are now old enough to not put their kids in the oven so we don’t have that issue, but it would work for that also.
Our only suggestion is that the manufacturer should include some sticky fabric (like you put on the bottom of chairs) so that it entirely closes the gap. See photo of how we did this.
Otherwise it is always slightly open and wastes heat. This should be included which would enable people to get a full close, what ever their oven dimensions.
My oven has a rather awkward interface for fitting this lock onto it, leaving only a small section of the lock protruding enough to block the oven opening. Surprisingly, even that small piece effectively prevents the oven from opening without appearing to loosen the adhesive. It’s simple to switch between the locked and unlocked positions, yet not to the extent that we’re concerned about our little one, who’s just a year old, managing to open it. She enjoys testing it by hanging on the oven door handle, but so far, there hasn’t been any give. The instructions were somewhat lacking, but the installation process itself is fairly straightforward.
These are fabulous. They are difficult for my 1 year old to open. The adhesive has been great just ensure to stick it once though. Easy to install and easy for me to open once I knew how 😉
Brilliant locks, go round corners. On our kitchen cupboards we have used one at the top and one at bottom, if you have it in the middle it still leave a gap at the top that baby could potentially get their fingers in.
This is a great product to keep children away from things you don’t want them to get into!
Extremely easy to install and to get off, and it’s ajustible.
No screws required and it saves you putting holes into kitchen/bathroom or nice furniture units.

Great quality product. Must have for protecting the house as well as kids. We took our time to search for a good one and found this which worked perfectly making our twin toddlers very upset( not being able to open the kitchen drawers)
Wonderful product, arrived before time. Very easy to install and does what it says on the tin – they work like a dream and prevent our little curious one from getting into cupboards. They worked so well we have just ordered another set and are now all around the house and we are also looking toward getting some more for the grandparents houses!
