I was pleasantly surprised when I removed the packing. This knife is quite realistic looking and definitely would fool the average person unless closely examined.
The downside with this prop is the blood pattern on the knife. This does not look realistic and it was what tipped off those I tried to fool with it.
The colour of the blood is a little too bright but again it is the pattern of the blood on the knife that lets it down.
A couple of quick mods to the blood pattern would save the day.

This is an artificial 16 inch but your knife that is made of a soft yet rigid plastic absolutely harmless and a wonderful prop. I make tons of Halloween weapons but I make them mostly out of kitchen knives and actually real weapons that I have dulled down. Apparently this is not acceptable in this condition even at many different festivals and conventions. So I got this plastic Halloween prop butcher knife to be able to take with me. This knife has some blood marks on it that do not look very realistic so I will be repainting this knife to give it a more realistic look. If you are buying this to a company a Halloween costume it would be perfect as is. These weapons are available in a few different styles but this is my favorite. It is the same size and dimensions as a real butcher knife. Very lightweight and all one solid piece this would be perfect for a kid’s costume if you’re looking for something that is harmless yet looks spooky and gross lol. The price is really good I’ve seen these at the Halloween store for a lot more money, I would definitely recommend this type of plastic weapon if you’re looking for something that is kid friendly and safe to go with any Halloween costume or cosplay outfit or to take to conventions and festivals that require safe weapons.
