Solid little workstation, documentation is lacking I bought the B95 16GB/512GB version as a workstation for the reception desk at my office. With a $20 coupon, I wound up with a decent mini computer for well under $300, Including a 2TB SSD I bought for $105. It’s only running Outlook and word processing software, so i don’t know how it will perform for video and graphics. We also download some large, multi gig zip files and it extracts them without issues.
Four stars because the included manual didn’t have clear instructions to install the SSD and documentation on the Bosgame website is lacking. The attachment point for the SATA cable on the motherboard is flimsy and cracked, but the cable stayed in place.
I also had trouble setting it up because the login screen wanted a password for “Defaultuser0,” which I had never encountered on a new Windows computer. After some googling, I found it’s an account automatically created before any user accounts are set up. If you reboot a couple of times, it will take you to the Windows 11 setup screen to create a new user account; I also read that you can log on to the Defaultuser0 account as an administrator with the password “root.” Ignore websites that want to sell you additional software or do a system restore.
I like the fact that it has two USB ports in the back. Many similar mini PCs only have one.
I need a new computer but did not have a lot of money. My sons friend had bought one and was very happy with it. I agree with him it is great home computer for my needs. Surprised how well this little beast works I usually try and use my computer equipment as long as possible but I decided to replace an older Dell with this to save space on my desk. I am surprised how quick and responsive this is for the price. Its out performing my desktop easily. Highly recommend this model or even one of the more expensive units if you needs more CPU and RAM.
I multi task between a lot of applications and this works perfectly.
I bought this mini computer just to play with and see how well it work. It was smooth and worked well. It's a good thing because just after it came in, my main computer went into the shop for 2 weeks and the BosGame served as my substitute. Windows 11 runs fine; didn't see or hear any fans; doesn't seem like there is a way to cool down PC I’m going to write this review in point form. I think it would be easier to write and read.
1) Has Windows 11 Pro. Windows runs fine on this PC. I did not see any slow downs or hiccups. There are no issues streaming movies or watching YouTube. The CPU is not that fast so I wouldn’t expect this mini PC do be able to do too much more.
2) The instructions talks about how to remove the cover to get to the SSD and RAM. You just have to remove 2 screws and the cover pops off. There is only 1 x RAM slot.
3) I didn’t see a way to take the rest of the case apart.
4) There isn’t a spot to install another drive. All the other mini PCs that I have seen has a spot for a 2.5″ SATA drive. This one does not have one.
5) a) There are 4 x USB 3.0 ports (2 in the front and 2 in the back). It would have been better if the 2 x USB ports in the back would have been USB 2.0 ports.
5) b) I found out that USB 3.0 and 3.1 ports emit a wireless signal on the 2.4 GHz band that will interfere with wireless mice and keyboard. For example, if you plug in a USB dongle for a wireless mouse into a USB 3.x port you will may find that your mouse will stop working every few mins for maybe 3 seconds. This is not the fault of the mouse but of the USB 3.x port.
6) I don’t think there are any fans in this mini PC. I didn’t see any space for one and I couldn’t hear any. So, I wouldn’t push this mini PC too hard because it could heat up quickly and not have a way to cool itself down.
7) There is 2 x RJ45 ports and 2 x HDMI ports on the back. There is 1 x USB-C port on the front.
8) Plugging in an external drive may (probably will) result in the drive being disconnected or not usable. This is normal. Plug the external drive using a USB 2.0 cable. This happens to me on a ton of computers. So, it’s not the fault of this mini PC. I believe the USB 3.0 port is not able to provide enough power to the external drive. That’s my best guess.
9) There are no speakers on this mini PC.
10) I didn’t have any issues playing Minecraft on this mini PC for about 15 minutes. I’m not sure if it’ll heat up from Minecraft though. I believe it should be able to run non-intensive games, such as, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.
I can definitely recommend this mini PC for light tasks. Such as, streaming movies.
It's a good PC for basic work. Before I asked if the USB C port does have power delivery and doesn't get any answer, well, it does. I'm using this just with a portable touchscreen and takes just one cable to power it and for the video and touchscreen capabilities. It’s a good PC for basic work. Thought I would get this mini desktop computer a try. Just needed it for small projects on website. Received it and had it hooked up and going within 30 minutes. Everything was easy. Speed is fantastic. I hope that the product will last a long time. Thought I would get this mini desktop computer a try. Just needed it for small projects on website. Nice mini pc, fast for what you paid fo Came with Windows 11 Pro, 16 GB DDR4 SODIMM memory, 512 GB NVME m.2 SSD, 10 gigabits USB 3.2×2, and 2.5 gigabit Ethernet. Most other N95 mini pcs come only with 8 GB, 256 GB, 5 gigabit USB, and 1 gigabit Ethernet. And they cost more! It is not an all-out powerhouse or even a high-level gaming PC. It was not designed to be. You can play games with it but at lower resolutions, and game settings. What it does shine at is a cheap, small PC that doesn’t bog down using office apps, video watching up to 4k/60, and web browsing. I set mine up as a Home Assistant home automation server. It is way overkill in this role. It never gets over 7% memory usage or 4 to 5% CPU usage. Lastly, the bios/EFI is completely unlocked with more settings than other mini PCs.
If you’re interested in a mini PC with an N95 class processor this is the one to get. More memory, more SSD drive space, faster USB, and faster ethernet at this price point make this an excellent bargain in my honest opinion! After using this PC I plan on buying my father one to replace his old computer.
It runs smoothly to watch youtube, write essays, and coding. It is quiet even in the night. The CPU temperature remains at about 40 Celsius degrees in most time. The only problem is the expandability. It does not provide extra internal ports for an additional SSD. It runs smoothly to watch youtube, write essays, and coding. It is quiet even in the night. Compact Powerhouse with One Minor Drawback! I bought this for my office. I especially love it for Zoom meetings. It meets all the specs I wanted, san one.
The BOSGAME B95 Mini PC has truly impressed me with its performance and compact design. This little powerhouse is a versatile addition to any workspace or entertainment setup.
The processing speed is lightning-fast, allowing for seamless multitasking and smooth performance across various applications. The graphics capabilities are equally commendable, delivering crisp visuals for both work and play.
One minor drawback is the absence of an audio outlet. While this can be worked around with alternative setups, it’s worth considering for those who heavily rely on direct audio connections.
Overall, the BOSGAME B95 Mini PC offers exceptional value for its size and capabilities. Its small footprint makes it ideal for space-conscious users without compromising on power. This is definitely a product I’d recommend to anyone in need of a reliable and compact computing solution.
I have set it up to work with my 2k monitor and it works amazing. I use this little box for streaming games from boosteroid and GeForce now as well as maximum settings and it works so so much better then my old laptop. This box is not for playing games locally of course but is perfect for YouTube, steaming movies and video games, word processing. I love this product and am happy for this purchase. I bought two of these N95 computers to function as VPN WiFi access points. They both work great and the power consumption is then 2.5W, lower than a dedicated access point. On top of that they are quite fast for other functions and very usable for day-to-day computing. As it has Win11 Pro, it can also be accessed with the Remote Desktop Server, so it is even not necessary to connect a display or keyboard. If connected to a display, both the HDMI as well as the full function USB-C are working correctly. I bought two of these N95 computers to function as VPN WiFi access points. BOSGAME Mini PC as a Mini Firewall Appliance I’m going to use this mini PC as a pfSense Plus firewall appliance after replacing the Wi-Fi card with a M.2 A+E key Ethernet card for a 2nd Ethernet port (WAN/LAN ports).
I can confirm that pfSense CE installs and boots on this hardware, and it should also be capable of booting pfSense from a thumb drive.
I purchased this mini PC at an excellent price point (one hundred and twenty) so I don’t feel bad over adding an extra Ethernet port (eighteen bucks). pfSense should be compatible with a M.2 NIC since it works with the M.2 Wi-Fi card. When all is said and done, this should be a fantastic mini firewall appliance.
Bought this for a friend on a lightning deal. It was a very good buy. And while it isn't a powerhouse it definitely works well for video streaming and general use. I'd buy it again. Shopping and Product Reviews Articles from EzineArticles.com says:
You can't go wrong with this product for its price range. Excellent quad core performance! Can be used as DVR, home server, business PC, HTPC. Totally stable too, running it 24/7 without a hitch. Comes with Windows 11 pre-installed without any bloatware. The only bad side is the SATA cable is a bit too vulnerable, if you wish to upgrade storage, stick with M.2. I couldn't find BIOS/UEFI updates and drivers as the manufacturer website doesn't work and they won't reply to emails. You can’t go wrong with this product for its price range. I got this mini pc on a special prime promotion. It is a great deal for a capable unit. I want to convert it to Ubuntu Server Pro but I want to save the Windows 11 license. I can't find a way to display or acquire the license for Windows 11 Pro that the machine is using. I got this mini pc on a special prime promotion. It is a great deal for a capable unit. Great performance for the price, good customer service I was afraid the processor would be a bottleneck with my 1440p widescreen monitor, but it can output 85hz without any stutters. Video playback, having 20 chrometabs open, game streaming have all been good. I appreciate the type-c port as well, providing some future proofness. I had to contact support through amazon to get drivers when I reinstalled windows though. They were very helpful and responsive, but I wish they just had a website I could have downloaded them from!
Definitely not a gaming PC though. I’m thinking about getting my in-laws one with a nice monitor to save deskspace and have a large viewing area.
