Chunkier body than I'd like, may not work with all phone cases
These connectors seem to be pretty well put together, although I occasionally found a slightly crunchiness on the sockets which will hopefully clean up with use.
The connectors are gold plated on the actually electrically conductive surfaces rather than the outside so in this case it is actually useful & functional.
For me they were slightly too wide at the base of the jack plug to fit into my phone case correctly but since I experience this issue a lot with most jack & headphone leads they don’t lose big marks for this, just be aware of the dimensions.
Clever Solution for Device Port Protectio
The Cable Matters 2-Pack Right Angle 3.5mm Adapters is a clever solution for safeguarding your device ports.
The build quality is excellent, ensuring durability without compromising audio performance. There’s no discernible impact on sound quality, making it a reliable choice for audio enthusiasts.
The inclusion of two adapters at such a reasonable price is a definite plus. This accessory effectively addresses the vulnerability of protruding ports, providing peace of mind for device users.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Cable Matters Right Angle Adapters for their practicality and reliable performance.
Works with MacBook Ai
I bought this to solve a very minor annoyance, so I felt it was a bit expensive for that. That being said, these are probably the best quality you could get and you get two, so good value!
Of course it doesn’t affect sound quality or in-line controls.
I was initially concerned that it was too wide, and it would hold up my laptop a little bit, putting stress on the jack; But as you can see, there is space underneath it 🙂
Top quality
Really happy with the build quality and functionality of these right-angled adapters.
I’m not a fan of when the aux cable sticks out from the port, they end up bending and breaking. These little adapters solve this issue and allow the cable to run alongside the device its plugged into, preventing or at least delaying the cable from breaking
Useful, space-saving, well-made right-angled 3.5mm connectors
We’ve all had that problem of a 3.5mm plug sticking out of a piece of equipment so you can’t move the equipment back against the wall, and it sticks out 5cm more than necessary. With one of these right-angled connectors you can reduce that distance to 1cm, or nearly flush with the wall.
The connectors are well-made with gold-plated connectors (3.5mm female to 3.5mm male), encased in strong black plastic. See photos attached. They work easily and well, and I recommend them. 5 stars.
Substantial right angle connectors
These are well constructed connectors which give a reliable signal transfer from headphones with mic to the source. The only improvement I would make is to increase the depth of the shoulder where the connector plugs in to allow for the protective cover most phones use around the headphone socket. To be used with my ageing iPhone I would have to remove the cover first. No issue when using with just a stereo pair lead which doesn’t need the four connectors.
Useful and reliable
I’ve used one of the adapters for a few weeks and it hasn’t degraded the audio quality and has always made good contact. The plastic surround slims down above the plug so that it fits though the whole in my phone case where as my headphone jack will not fit directly which is an added bonus.
L connectors, 2 channel stereo on each plug, essential for audio setups!
Shipped from Europe. Very good quality 3.5mm angled plugs.
I wanted to try a new cable routing setup, so thought these would work a treat, which they have! No drop in audio quality, despite my janky (but workable!) split cables, connecting 2 other inputs. It carries 2 channel stereo sound on each plug, so it can be used for all kinds of devices, that have a 3.5mm jack.
Very happy, recommended! 🙂
Useful 90° 3.5mm Adapters
As a home musician I have a lot of cables running from various synths and other equipment on my studio desk. This 90 3.5mm adapter comes in handy so I can route a lot of cable down back of the desk. Because of the angle, I can move the equipment closer to the wall, gives me space.
The jTTRS acks themselves seem strong and sturdy. Good value too as you get two in a pack.
Exactly what I needed
I had to replace an aux cable for a set of headphones and in my haste I ordered a completely straight one with a thicker, not so easily bent cable without considering how it might affect me being able to put my phone in my bag or pocket. Not a world-ending problem to face, but I don’t have to face it any more with this 90 degree adapter, meaning I can listen to my music and put my phone wherever I like without worrying about damaging the cable by bending it too hard. These would also be very handy if you’re plugging headphones into a tight space as the right angle of this adaptor will take up less room and be far neater than trying to bend a larger cable around
Nice little Adapters that do the Job
These are simple little adapters that basically do the job. 5.99 for two is good value, they seem well made and sturdy and there’s no detectable loss of signal. The right-angle is useful for directing cabling and keeping things tidy, and the headset I use on the laptop is completely functional through them. No issues.
Great for my old tv audio cable
This adapter is a game-changer for anyone dealing with cable wear and tear issues. I recently used this adapter for my old tv connected to a DVD player, and it has proven to be a lifesaver. The 90-degree angle not only protects the cable but also ensures a snug fit without compromising on audio quality.
The build quality is impressive; this adapter feels sturdy and durable. I’ve experienced no issues with functionality — it works flawlessly, providing a reliable audio connection. If you’re dealing with cables that keep breaking due to tight spaces or constant movement, this right angle adapter is the perfect solution. Highly recommended for its practical design and durability.
Well made 90° 3.5mm adapte
I ordered this 90 3.5mm adapter to help ease the congestion of cables entering the side of my laptop (HDMI/Power/USB etc.) This adapter allows the cable to connect at a different angle to the other cables so it can be orientated away. I also keep the adapter in place when removing cable so as to reduce any damage caused to the laptop port by repeatedly unplugging/plugging in. The adapter has four active terminals so it will happily work on laptops that have microphone/headphone combined socket.
The quality of the adapter is very good and it holds well when connected. For the price, this represents very good value.
4 Pole Right Angle 3.5mm Adapto
This pair of 3.5mm right angle 4 pole adaptors come in 2 bags in a bag.
Wired headsets and xbox gamepads have been problematic for years. Often the connector comes straight out of the back and gets bent with contact to the body during gaming. Hopefully this will reduce the problem by adding a right angle to the cable so contact with the body is reduced.
Having tested these with a TB wired headset and Xbox I can confirm that these work exactly as they should. 5 stars.
Solves a problem
I had an audio cable plugged Into my iPad when I use it on a stand. This left the connector protruding quite some way out from the body of the iPad where it was suffering from knocks. This right angle connector cures this problem in a stroke, and it looks tidier.
Being 4-pole this means the connector can be used with normal stereo audio or with headphones with attached or built in microphone. In use it worked as expected with no problems in sound quality.
There are two in a pack for a very reasonable 5.99.
Useful for reducing cable strai
Used both adapters to connect a straight 3.5mm cable from an iPhone (lightning to 3.5mm adapter) to a small amp. Adapters work flawlessly. No loss of signal or sound degradation. Allowed me to orient the iPhone so that it was in portrait mode & to reduce cable strain to the amp.
The right jack at the right price
I chose this because right-angled audio jacks, also known as L-shaped plugs, can provide several pluses over a straight jack. In particular how the 90 bend angle can reduce strain from the cable grommet and also the jack port. Which is a problem I’m finding with the headphones plugged into our workshop PC.
The vertical facing port means grommets on our headphones keep getting bent, especially when the head phones get moved around. Which means headphones don’t always last very long. Plus there’s always a danger of someone standing up and yanking the headphones out, hence damaging the port.
But with these the cable and grommet will be more level, hence reducing the strain. Additionally, as theres a connector between port and phones, the headphones could be pulled from the right angle jack and not the PC’s jack port. Hence reducing possible port damage.
Another advantage with these plugs are this PC is in a dusty environment. So having a plug always left in the PC’s audio port means the audio port won’t get so dirty. Thus saving cleaning time on.
Plus, especially as there’s 2 in this pack, I can use one on the rear ports for the speakers or microphone. An area which has limited clearance, so cables often end up pinched up against the wall, another problem this jack can fix. Overall ? For a small outlay I can solve a few annoyance’s.
Work well and good connections
These right-angle 3.5mm jack adaptors work well without any crackle and the “male” jack fits snugly into the adaptor.
useful if you need the space at the rear of a hi-fi or electronic keyboard, or PC – whatever!
Not a bad price for a pair of adaptors.
Very very useful right angle 3.5mm plug adapte
This is a quality TRRS right angle plug adapter (it has 4 segments on the plug) and works with headset and built in microphone on modern mobile phones and laptops. I have tested it and it works fine.
I also wanted to use it with some high end stereo monitoring headphones on my older laptop for sound editing… so just a normal stereo headphone jack was what was needed. I tried both of these connectors and can confirm that they work perfectly.
They are good quality and do not crackle when rotating in the socket and are a very good fit.
Ideal for anything that requires a right angle connection to prevent the wire bending at 45 degrees and causing damage, or where there isn’t enough space for a plug and cable to stick out very far. A pack of 2 makes good sense as they are so useful.
Good adapters Ideal for use in a Raspberry Pi
Cable Matters 2-Pack Right Angle 3.5mm Adapter in Black (Mini Jack Right Angle Adapter, 90 Degree
A useful adapter when you want to change the direction of the cable where it plugs into the socket – i.e. if you don’t want the plug and cable sticking straight out, where there are space constraints, etc.
Many media centres etc. that have a video input have the sockets that this adapter fits into. These type are very similar in size to the normal stereo plugs on headphones etc. except that they have an additional contact ‘ring’.
The adapter may fit into a standard headphone socket, but headphones plugged into it may not work.
These adapters are ideal for use in a Raspberry Pi.
Useful and works perfectly
I’ve used this 4 pole, 3.5mm (TRRS), right angle adapter on my laptop which I need to use in a quite confined space. The previous standard jacks of my headphones, plugged directly into the laptop, tended to take quite a lot of impact and, as a result, the wires became damaged at the strain relief.
With this right angle adapter, pressure on the strain relief and the cable is much reduced if not eliminated. The jack of my headphones fits perfectly into the adapter (with an audible click) and the same is true at the laptop end. I now need to consider which of my numerous audio devices will equally benefit .
Probably not the cheapest of this accessory but for a 2 pack I think it is good value.
4 pole, ideal for headphones with inline mic.
Perfect for a mobile phone with the audio jack in an awkward place, this adaptor is the 4 pole version which allows the use of stereo earphones and a mic for calls whist preventing damage to the headphone cable from a sharp turn of the cable next to its plug. I’ve also used it in the cars AUX in on the head unit to stop the tail of the input cable coming straight out and obstructing the gearstick, it really tidied up the cable management there and removed an annoyance.
Handy to have
Although I mostly use Bluetooth earbuds now, I do still have some wired earbuds that I use with my work phone and it can be inconvenient having the cord come straight out. Obviously the best solution is to buy earbuds that have an L-shaped jack connection on them, but for normal straight jacks these connectors give the same benefit.
It is also useful when connecting speakers to a PC if you don’t want the cable to come straight out and then get the stresses of being bent up.
These adaptors are simple things but they work exactly as they should.
Perfec
These are perfect for either your PC or Phone if you have a headset with a straight line out and not an L Shape cable from the connector, makes wearing a Headset easier if you have a tight space and upwards from your phone/mp3 player is tight inside a pocket. Overall a perfect fit. Recommend.
Very useful, if somewhat specialised
This is a two-pack of mini (3.5mm) stereo jack right angle converters.
They work well and are useful to have around for those (admittedly rare, but intensely frustrating when it happens) occasions where the cable gets in the way of some other nearby equipment if it’s jutting straight out. These solve that problem completely.
Recommended as an item for every audio engineer’s toolkit.
You don't know you need one until you need one...
… and thankfully there’s a spare! Really nicely made, chunky little things. The plugs and sockets are quality and there’s no noises when nudging them around so the wiring is solid. Being TRRS means that they’re going to work with everything from mono jacks to stereo-with-microphone headphones as well.
This pair of right angle 3.5mm jack plug adapters are of the TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) 4-pole type. These differ from the more common TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) 3-pole stereo plugs and sockets; in addition to left and right audio signals they can also carry a microphone channel as used on older iPhones, or a composite video channel as seen on Raspberry Pi computers.
If you don’t need the extra channel they work fine as standard L + R stereo connectors and to check everything was connected properly I played a stereo test record through them – left, right, balance and phasing were all correct – as expected.
The construction of the plugs is neat, but you could have problems using them with a deep socket, or a phone in a case, because the male plug is snug against the body of the socket.
Both plug and socket have “gold” plating which should improve contact resistance and reduce tarnishing.
Does the job nicely
About all I can add is that the adapters are nicely made and do the job they were designed for perfectly. Handy little devices which save the strain on your headphone cable if you want it turned through 90 degrees.
REDUCES RISK OF STRETCHING HEADPHONE WIRES
Arrived as a pair.
Before using these angles headphone jack adapters, I was inadvertently stretching my Bose noise cancelling headphones wire, plugged into my desk top computer, at the rear of the screen.
The wire would snag underneath the screen when I got up to answer a landline telephone or grab a cup of tea. I would be pulled back to the desk or the headphones would go flying. The Bose headphones have a built-in jack plug that would pop out leaving the thin trailing wire behind.
Well no more. These simple but effective right-angled adapters allow sideways movement giving me time to remove the headphones before stretching the cable.
A simple, yet considered design that doesn’t degrade sound quality.
I recommend these.
