CREATIVE Aurvana Ace 2 Lightweight True Wireless In-ears

Immersive listening experience
Earbuds have been in use during my daily commutes and while working from home. The sound quality is sharp, bringing out nuances in music I hadn’t noticed with previous pairs. The noise control is effective, making transitions from focus to awareness smooth. They’ve held up well to daily use, with battery life keeping pace with long days. The touch controls are intuitive after a brief adjustment period.

I Creative Aurvana Ace 2 sono degli auricolari completamente senza filo, che si collegano via Bluetooth a smartphone e altre apparecchiature.

Fra le caratteristiche principali ci sono:
– driver xMEMS per le alte frequenze (primi auricolari a introdurre tale tecnologia; anzich una bobina con membrana, viene usato una membrana di silicio)
– Bluetooth LE
– ANC adattivo
– IPX5 (resistenti a sudore e umidit, non all’immersione)

Sono presenti istruzioni per l’utilizzo anche se usare questi auricolari (almeno per le funzioni base) estremamente intuitivo. Di base, basta estrarli dalla custodia e, se il Bluetooth dello smartphone attivo, potrebbe essere che vengano riconosciuti senza tanti passaggi.
In aggiunta, si pu installare l’app gratuita Creative presente nel Play Store per poter accedere a ulteriori impostazioni o personalizzazioni.
Forse superfluo da dire ma a qualcuno potrebbe interessare: gli auricolari funzionano tranquillamente anche senza app.

Gli auricolari sono forniti di una custodia che li contiene quando non in uso e li ricarica. Gli auricolari sono fermati magneticamente dalla custodia, cos come il coperchio. La carica della batteria interna della custodia avviene per mezzo di una porta USB Type C oppure appoggiando la custodia con gli auricolari su un pad per la ricarica wireless. Nella confezione fornito un cavo USB-C ma non l’alimentatore e non la basetta di ricarica wireless.

Sono dotati di un unico pulsante ciascuno; azioni come il cambio di traccia, risposta alla chiamata o modifica del volume, attivazione/disattivazione dell’ANC… possono essere configurate dall’app.

Gli auricolari sono del tipo da inserire nel condotto uditivo; sono preinstallati i gommini di dimensioni medie ma, in un sacchettino a parte, sono presenti gommini di ricambio di varie dimensioni.

L’isolamento dall’esterno buono, cos come chi ci vicino difficilmente sentir quel che stiamo ascoltando, a meno di non usarli a volumi pericolosi.
La riduzione attiva dei rumori usa dei microfoni presenti all’esterno per registrare i rumori e produrre all’interno degli auricolari dei “rumori” contrari, che bilanciano o azzerano i rumori provenienti dall’esterno. In questi auricolari, l’ANC buono anche se non arriva al livello di altri auricolari di medesima fascia.

La qualit audio molto buona, gi con l’equalizzazione di fabbrica. Questa, unita al buon isolamento e alla riduzione attiva dei rumori, d una buona sensazione di immersione in quello che si sta ascoltando.

Per le chiamate vanno bene, con risultati pressoch equivalenti alla chiamata usando direttamente il telefono.
La portata del Bluetooth abbastanza buona e nella media di prodotti BT simili, quindi indicativamente 8-10 metri liberi, al primo muro tra telefono e auricolari possono esserci brevi salti o cadute di connessione, che viene per rapidamente e automaticamente ripristinata riavvicinandosi.

Riassumendo, si tratta di auricolari di qualit molto buona e li consiglio se privilegiate la qualit audio (nei limiti della tipologia di prodotto e fascia di costo), a leggero discapito della riduzione del rumore e, molto soggettivo, dell’aspetto.

Il costo attuale di 153 euro circa, sfruttando il coupon presente, che abbastanza proporzionato.

Sounds Great and You NEED to Download the App
First, you NEED to download the app to get these earbuds to sound great! They sound AWFUL right out of the box, so you will need to do this. Why the instructions don’t have a QR code, is beyond me. Nor do the instructions mention anything about the app! Why?!?! I have included a photo of what the app looks like in the App Store because it is almost impossible to find if you try searching for it. If you can’t find it, you will need to Google on your phone the name of the ear buds, which is Creative Aurvana Ace 2. From there, click on the official Creative weblink, and it will take you to the page where the direct link can be found for both Apple and Android devices. Download it from there, select EQUALIZER, and it will take you to all the sound profiles to choose from, which sound lousy right off the bat. You will need to go through all the presets and change the bass and treble on each one to really get the sound to shine. I can’t recommend a certain sound profile with the bass and treble settings because it is very subjective for each person.

Sound is great once you download the app, and customize each sound profile. I love that there is so much customization from ear tip size, and all the other customizable options to choose from on the app. On the app, under CUSTOM BUTTONS, you can select the double tap and triple tap options for the earbuds. For example, if I want to double tap the right or left side of my earbuds to have a certain option, I would select it there. The options to choose from are PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS TRACK, NEXT TRACK, AMBIENT CONTROL, and VOICE ASSIST. I haven’t used the ambient control yet. The ambient control is supposed to make it so you do not have to take your earbuds out in order to hear someone talk. Voice assist summons Siri, on iPhones. I don’t know how that works on Android phones because I have never owned one. Also, you can search on YouTube to watch review videos, and learn much more from users who have used these functions. Also, I have gone through countless third party air buds, including all the Apple AirPod versions, and these earbuds sound so much better than those. I refuse to own another pair of AirPods because some of mine didn’t even last a year before they wouldn’t charge anymore. Waste of money! Also, you can download from the app on your phone for the latest firmware versions, as Creative comes out with new ones. I can only guess Creative puts out improved drivers from time to time to possibly make these sound even better, or to add more options on the app, although I could be wrong on that. They also come with three different ear tips to customize them for your ear size. Another great point is they are semi-comfortable when sleeping on your side. I wish they would be more comfortable for sleeping for me because I always wear my ear buds when sleeping at night so I can listen to podcasts, and audio books, Also, sound quality on the mic is very good. Callers tell me I sound normal, and not like I am on earbuds.

As mentioned previously, the instructions are horrible and DO NOT tell you to download the app, nor is there a QR code to scan in order for your phone to take you to the point where you can download the app. Also, another con, and very important to note is, these come with a clear, transparent sticky film under the stems which are very difficult to see. The instructions DO NOT tell you those are even there. Because these are very difficult to see, if you don’t remove them, your ear buds WILL NOT pair. I tried many, many times to pair to my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and they wouldn’t pair. My husband also tried on his Android phone, and nothing. Once I removed those, they paired flawlessly. Also, once the earbuds are fully charged, the battery life in the earbuds as advertised, isn’t great compared to other earbuds at this price point, and even the lower priced ones. It’s not a deal breaker, but is definitely something to note. Another thing that is kind of a pain, is at least on my ear buds, is when you double tap, triple tap, or long tap, the earbuds don’t always respond to that. I feel like I am beating a drum to try and get them to respond about half of the time. Also, one feature I would like to hear is a small, audible beep when tapping a command, with the exception of voice assist because the music pauses when Siri comes on. Also, with the ambient control option, a voice does come on to tell you when it is off and on. Beeps for the volume control WOULD be nice so I can tell how many notches the volume is changing, so I can fine tune it. Also, I wish there was a tap option to make a call, and as of now, I have to pick up my phone to manually make a phonecall. Another issue is, when calling someone on my phone, the volume goes way down, so I have to really turn up the volume on the earbuds, or manually on my phone, in order to hear the caller. I really wish the volume would be consistent to the volume level already selected. That part, at least for me, really sucks to be honest.

All in all, despite the cons, I am happy with these earbuds, and they are the best ones of the many I have owned. So far, as the sound is great, and I love all the customization options. I gave this review four stars because of the instructions being horrible and not telling you to download the app, as well as not telling you to remove the clear, transparent sticky film, as stated previously in this review. I also gave it four stars because of the issues listed above.

Excellent bass and crystal clear sound quality, but with some issues
These Bluetooth earphones have excellent quality bass and crystal clear sound. The buds are comfy in the ears and are definitely worth the higher price point for the quality of sound it produces. The earbuds do have a strange quirk, which is a high-pitched squeak when taking the headphones in or out. I’m not sure why this is happening, But it doesn’t affect performance, Just a little annoying and everyone in the room can hear the loud high-pitched frequency. Thankfully, it only lasts a second, But i thought it could be something to improve on.

La última tecnología en drivers xMEMS y codecs Bluetooth, para una calidad de sonido excelente.
Utilizo auriculares inalmbricos a diario, desde que me levanto para ir escuchando algn pdcast mientras me arreglo y desayuno, hasta la noche para or algn programa relajante y dormir. Durante el da los utilizo para escuchar mi msica favorita, as que se puede decir que soy un usuario intenso de este tipo de auriculares.
Al ser usuario de Apple, mis auriculares inalmbricos de cabecera son los AirPods Pro, pero hay una extensa gama de auriculares inalmbricos de mucha calidad en el mercado, superiores a estos netamente en varios aspectos.
He estado probando este nuevo modelo Aurvana Ace 2 de la marca CREATIVE, y te cuento que tal ha resultado la experiencia.

Lo que recibimos en la caja

– Los auriculares Creative, modelo Aurvana Ace 2.
– El estuche de carga.
– 2 juegos adicionales de almohadillas en tamaos diferentes.
– Un pequeo cable de carga de USB-A a USB-C.
– El manual de uso.

Diseo y calidad

Recibimos estos auriculares en una compacta caja de cartn rgido, dominada mayormente por el color negro, y resaltando en portada una preciosa imagen de los auriculares y su estuche, donde destacan acertadamente esos acabados en cobre de su parte interior. Tambin se detalla en sus laterales, algunas de las principales caractersticas del producto.
En su interior, los auriculares vienen perfectamente protegidos y embalados, para que lleguen en perfecto estado a nuestras manos.
Una vez desembalado, nos encontramos con un estuche de carga con un factor de forma muy similar al de la mayora de auriculares inalmbricos intraurales del mercado, muy similar en forma y tamao al de mis habituales AirPods Pro.
La principal caracterstica de diseo de este estuche de carga, es que ha sido fabricado en un plstico oscurecido, pero translcido, que permite ver su interior. Un efecto que le da un carcter muy definido, y que a m personalmente me parece francamente bonito y llamativo.
En la parte inferior de este estuche encontramos el puerto de carga USB-C, y a su lado el nico botn del dispositivo. En el lateral derecho, un par de orificios conectados, para poder poner uno de esos cordeles de transporte para llevarlo colgado.
Su parte superior es la tapa con sistema de bisagra, que suele ser el estndar en este tipo de dispositivos. Pero al abrir esta tapa, y mostrarnos los auriculares y su interior, ofrece ese momento “wow” tan buscado por las marcas. Un acabado interior en plstico brillante en color cobre, que ofrece esa sensacin de calidad y espectacularidad. Hubiera deseado que estas piezas cobrizas fueran metlicas, pero claramente se trata de material plstico.
Los auriculares estn insertados en sus orificios interiores, y se mantienen dentro gracias a un sistema de imanes. Salen fcilmente estirando un poco de ellos, y una vez fuera de su estuche, tambin me recuerdan mucho al factor forma de los AirPods Pro, y a su vez muy similares en tamao.
Para la fabricacin de los auriculares, siguen manteniendo ese plstico oscurecido y translcido del estuche, lo cual nos permite ver ligeramente cmo estn construidos internamente. En la parte exterior de la zona alargada, que sirve como alojamiento a la batera, se encuentra un sensor tctil, que nos permitir llevar a cabo varias acciones directamente desde los auriculares. En la parte inferior de esta seccin, podemos ver los dos conectores metlicos a travs de los cuales se efectuar la carga al meterlos en el estuche.
En la parte superior, es donde se genera todo el sonido gracias a los drivers que se incluyen. En la punta de esta parte tenemos colocada la almohadilla que introduciremos dentro de nuestro odo, que por defecto traen montadas las de tamao mediano.
A lo largo de la carcasa del auricular podemos observar los 3 orificios que sirven de micrfono con reduccin de ruido ambiente para las llamadas, y tambin para atenuar el ruido ambiente cuando estamos escuchando msica o cualquier tipo de reproduccin.
Tanto los auriculares, como el estuche, son muy ligeros por su fabricacin en plstico, pero transmiten una sensacin de calidad correcta cuando los tenemos en la mano. Tampoco dira que llega a un acabado premium, pero s por encima de la media de los auriculares convencionales.

Uso y rendimiento

Estos auriculares inalmbricos funcionan con bateras recargables. Una carga completa ofrece unas 5-6 horas de autonoma, variables en funcin del volumen, del tipo de msica, o de si tenemos activada la reduccin de sonido ambiental. Conjuntamente con las tres cargas adicionales que ofrece su estuche, alcanza un total de 24 horas de reproduccin, con una carga completa de todo el sistema.
Una vez tenemos la batera completamente cargada, lo primero que aconsejo es que descargues su aplicacin oficial en el telfono mvil, llamada Creative, que puedes encontrar en iOS y en Android. Ya que con ella podremos efectuar algunos ajustes muy interesantes en tus nuevos auriculares inalmbricos.
Para que podamos enlazarlos por Bluetooth, tenemos que encender los auriculares de forma individual, haciendo un toque de 3 segundos en su parte tctil del lateral exterior. Los auriculares emitirn un destello azul y rojo para confirmar que estn encendidos. Ahora podemos introducirlos de nuevo en el estuche, y sin cerrar la tapa, pulsar el botn inferior del estuche 3 segundos, para que el sistema se ponga en modo emparejamiento.
El LED inferior del estuche parpadear alternativamente en rojo y azul, y ya podremos buscarlo en las opciones de conexin Bluetooth del dispositivo al que queramos conectarlo, apareciendo con el nombre Aurvana Ace 2.
Si lo hemos conectado al telfono, podemos abrir la aplicacin Creative, que los reconocer y nos permitir hacer varios ajustes. Uno que me parece fundamental, es que te informar si hay alguna actualizacin de software nueva para tus auriculares. Se trata de un modelo bastante nuevo, as que es muy importante que lo tengamos en la versin ms nueva, ya que el fabricante corrige errores que se hayan podido detectar, o como en el caso de la ltima actualizacin, han mejorado el sistema de reduccin de ruido ambiental.
En la pgina principal de la aplicacin, tambin podremos elegir entre una buena cantidad de ecualizaciones diferentes, diseadas segn el tipo de msica que vayamos a escuchar, y tambin podemos realizar nuestra propia ecualizacin manual. Te recomiendo mucho que le dediques un rato a probar las diferentes ecualizaciones escuchando tu msica, hasta que encuentres cul es tu sonido favorito, ya que por defecto vienen en el modo plano, y no ofrece todo el potencial que pueden dar de s estos auriculares.
Otro ajuste muy importante que podremos modificar en la aplicacin, es el sistema de reduccin de ruido ambiente. El tambin conocido como sistema ANC, es capaz de capturar el sonido del exterior mediante sus micrfonos integrados, e incorporar a la escucha una seal invertida de ese ruido, consiguiendo una neutralizacin de ese sonido molesto. Estos sistemas siempre funcionan mucho mejor cuando es un ruido igual y constante, como por ejemplo el sonido de la turbina de un avin.
Podremos elegir desconectar el sistema de cancelacin de ruido, activarlo, o utilizar el modo ambiente, el cual te transmitir el sonido exterior a travs del auricular, para que escuches mejor lo que est pasando a tu alrededor.
Los laterales exteriores de ambos auriculares ejercen de pulsadores tctiles, y con ellos podremos llevar a cabo diversas acciones. Por defecto, si damos dos toques, en el izquierdo cambiaremos el modo ambiente, y en el derecho pararemos y reanudaremos la reproduccin. Con tres toques, en el izquierdo activaremos el asistente de voz propio del telfono que usemos, y en el derecho pasaremos a la siguiente pista de reproduccin. Y por ltimo, manteniendo apretado el izquierdo, bajaremos el volumen, y lo subiremos dejando apretado el derecho. Todas estas acciones las podemos ajustar desde la aplicacin, configurarlas de la manera que nos resulte ms cmoda.
En los ajustes avanzados podemos activar un modo de baja latencia, ideal para jugar a videojuegos o ver videos, para que haya una sincronizacin perfecta entre la accin y el sonido, renunciando a un poco de calidad de sonido. Y tambin podemos desactivar las locuciones en ingls que nos indican los auriculares.
Si tuviera que destacar algo de estos Aurvana Ace 2, sin duda dira que es la calidad de sonido. Y esto lo consigue gracias a la inclusin de dos drivers en cada auricular, uno dinmico ms clsico de 10mm, que se encarga de reproducir las frecuencias medias y bajas, y otro de la nueva tecnologa xMEMS, que est fabricado de membranas de silicio con capas de material piezoelctrico. Lo que se traduce un sonido ms definido y natural que los drivers anteriores. Adems, le sirve para conseguir un rango de reproduccin entre 5 Hz y 40 kHz, abarcando ms incluso que lo que puede percibir el odo humano.
Y esto en una escucha atenta, poniendo msica que contenga mucha variedad de frecuencias altas y bajas, se nota mucho, ofreciendo un sonido muy diferenciado y claro, algo difcil de conseguir en el escaso tamao de un auricular de botn. Todo el rango de frecuencias se distingue perfectamente, y nunca llega al punto de saturacin, ni siquiera llegando al volumen mximo.
Es verdad que la funcin de reduccin de ruido ambiente, ayudar a que tengas an una mejor escucha de tu msica favorita. Aunque tampoco se trata de los mejores sistemas de reduccin del mercado, quedando ms o menos al mismo nivel que mis ya relativamente antiguos AirPods Pro de primera generacin. Aunque viendo el historial de actualizaciones, la marca est trabajando activamente en mejorar el sistema ANC, as que con posteriores revisiones de software, es muy posible que consigan una reduccin ptima para estos auriculares. Para una reduccin lo ms buena posible, y tambin para un mejor sonido, es fundamental que pongamos el juego de almohadillas que mejor se adapte al tamao de nuestros odos, eligindolo entre los tres tamaos diferentes que ofrece el dispositivo.
Y otra caracterstica que juega a favor de ofrecernos una reproduccin musical de muy alta calidad, son las tecnologas de transmisin Bluetooth de ltima generacin que admite. Aqu se encuentra la tecnologa aptX Lossless ofreciendo un nivel de fidelidad excelente, o el Bluetooth Audio LE, que adems consigue un consumo muy bajo de energa sin perder absolutamente nada de calidad. Como viene siendo habitual en estos sistemas de Bluetooth ms avanzado, podremos conectarlos a dos dispositivos y cambiar rpidamente de uno a otro sin ningn problema.
Y si tienes pensado utilizarlos para hacer deporte, te ir bien saber que tiene la resistencia IPX5, con lo cual no darn problemas con el sudor, o utilizndolos en el exterior un da de lluvia.

Conclusin

He disfrutado mucho redescubriendo piezas musicales, a travs de la alta fidelidad de estos auriculares. Ofrecen un sonido muy rico y lleno de matices en todas las frecuencias, gracias a su doble driver, uno de ellos con la tecnologa xMEMS de ltima generacin, que produce un sonido muy claro y definido.
Para ayudar an ms a la fidelidad del sonido, incorpora todos los ltimos codecs de transmisin Bluetooth, como el aptX Lossless y el Audio Bluetooth LE, aunando calidad de sonido y eficiencia energtica.
Como corresponde a unos auriculares de gama alta, incluye reduccin de ruido ambiente adaptativo, aunque se queda un poco atrs de la reduccin que consiguen otros modelos del mercado.
La batera de los auriculares ofrece hasta 6 horas de autonoma, aumentando hasta 24 horas con las cargas que proporciona su estuche. Adems, son resistentes al agua con certificacin IPX5, as que podemos usarlos para hacer deporte sin ningn problema.
Podemos configurarlos a travs del mvil con su aplicacin Creative, que nos permitir ajustar la ecualizacin, el sistema de reduccin de ruido ambiente, as como personalizar los controles tctiles integrados en los auriculares.
Unos auriculares de gama alta con un diseo bonito y de mucho carcter, que destacan sobre todo por una calidad de sonido que te harn volver a disfrutar de tus temas musicales, y sorprende el poder conseguirlo en el limitado espacio de unos auriculares de botn.

Comfortable but need better battery life
I got these for my partner – he’s a musician so always appreciates quality sounds and can tell the difference between all the technical information that is thrown around with these earphones. The exMems driver was what got his attention and he was really keen to try out the technology.

The earphones come in an attractive case and are good looking themselves. He couldn’t get them to charge at first but realised there was a tiny, clear plastic safety seal on each ear piece covering the charging ports – it was very hard to see but they charged well after that was removed 🙂

They are very comfortable to wear and the sound is directed perfectly.
There is no single tap controls though and he said the ANC was not very good – although the sound quality was excellent and the bass was booming which was a huge positive.
The battery did seem to die quite quick though – I think it’s a maximum of 5 hours and you would expect more from these.
Overall, really decent sound that could be made better with a few tweaks of the battery and ANC so make them worth the price tag.
