I put off setting this up until I had time to do it. I need not have worried – it was actually an absolute pice of cake. You do need to have the Apple Home app but really the QR code on the instructions does the rest in about five minutes total. I got this to spy on my two cats especially when I am out of the house (sad I know) and it does that very well. I am impressed by the picture quality and the range of vision. I have not used all the functions advertised and have not tried to record from it but I have used “talk” to call them although I won’t do it often because I can see they are confused by it and it seems a bit cruel. However, if you were using it as an intruder alarm, I’m sure it would be a shock! have it positioned on a worktop which is fine for my needs but I see it comes with all the kit you need for mounting on the ceiling. Anyway, I’m having fun with it as it is and appreciate it being as simple or as complicated as I choose.

I missed a lot or this company is fairly new when comes to making home cctv systems and home kits. New however started with big bang by offering amazing cameras full of modern features without sacrificing anything. Camera I received is fantastic, proper 360 pan movement and offering stunning quality, in my opinion it is just slightly better than 1440p. You can have full control over camera with dedicated app for your smartphone and remotely control and live feed view.

Camera itself offers best feature I think, being able to wire it with ethernet, thanks to that you can have much more stable connection and eventually when connecting remotely, live feed is much faster and clearer. You can mount it literally anywhere you want, since it has neutral design, it can be located on sideboard as decoration or mounted on ceiling and used properly as cctv. Night vision is outstanding, very good image at dark, you can see everything what is happening. With paid version you can have proper AI which detects people, animals etc. It has microSD card slot so it will allows you to records events only, with cloud you can go 24/7.

Awesome proposition for good camera at decent price.

This camera works well and the quality of the picture is quite good. It responds quickly to motion. It connects very easily to the Apple Home app which I used and can be set up without any technical knowledge. Unfortunately I didn’t realise ( it does say, so my fault) that for remote access you do need a separate Apple Home hub which cost from 99 to 299. I have another IP security camera so the extra expense is not warranted. As it stands this camera would be useful for monitoring a baby’s nursery or maybe dogs etc in another room when at home. I have neither so the usefulness in my case is somewhat limited. However it works well and with a hub would be an effective security device.

4.0 out of 5 stars Need home hub for remote access

There seem to be quite a lot of these 360 degrees pan and tilt security cameras on the market presently. This is the third one I have reviewed. First, the setup, like most of them, is a bit of a faff involving a app which needs to be downloaded, an account which needs to be set up and passwords which need to be created. Having done that, you then connect it to your home WIFI and hence, your telephone.

The app is not the most intuitive I have used. It is a bit cluttered and you really need to search around for stuff if you want to find and activate certain features or change settings. The manual pan and tilt mode is always the first thing that gets tried out and I have to say, it is a little bit slow and clunky but it does work. As with other cameras like this that I have looked at, you can only do Pan OR tilt but not both at the same time. Also similar to other cameras, the horizontal plane rotation is not continuous but rather 180 degrees each way, a bit like an owl’s head. Not really a problem if the Camera is positioned in a corner of a room which would make sense.

Night vision switches on and off automatically depending on available light or the camera can be forced to stay in either day or night mode in the settings. 2 visible IR LEDs come on and the illumination is good and the image quality is maintained although it is in black and white.

Human detection mode seems to work fine and the image will zoom in and out in order to keep the person in frame. If set up, auto tracking will allow the camera to follow the person by pan and tilt although it took me too long to find this feature in the settings. It is worth noting at this point that the zoom appears to be digital only, there’s no movement of glass involved.

At the rear are a USB-C port which is used to power the camera with the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. An SD Card slot which you will want to use if you want to avoid paying subscription charges to the company for cloud storage facilities. All of these cameras tend to try and push that little add-on at you from within the app. There is also a network socket, presumably one is able to connect this to a wired storage device? I didn’t get to the bottom of that.

There is a simple fixing bracket in the box with some screws. The camera can be mounted upright or upside down and the image can be flipped in the settings if necessary. Status lights can also be turned off although this will not make it a covert camera, it’s quite big, the servos can be heard whirring and the IR lights are visible.

I have dropped this a star because of the price at timeofwriting (69.99). To my mind it’s unreasonably high given the options available in the same market place.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, average response and features

This indoor security monitoring camera is an excellent addition to your existing set up or starting new. It is compact, durable and well-built. It will not take up too much space and can be tucked away in corners.

Setting up the camera is straightforward and takes only a few moments. It works with smart home tech and connects seamlessly. The dual-band WiFi helps in maintaining good connectivity. The camera can be controlled through the Ezviz app or any of the smart home apps you use.

Picture, audio and video quality is superb. It picks up motion and sounds reasonably quickly. The ability to see 360 degrees is fantastic and ensures all corners are covered. It does struggle to pick up the barks – its not very intuitive in that regard. Also, it’s funny about the abnormal noises and picked up gunshots from the TV!

The two-way talk is great and works without issues. The night vision is also pretty good. I have not tried its other features as yet such as wave calling and auto-zoom but have no reason to doubt its uses.

I think this is a very useful addition to home security. my favourite features are the 360-degree tilt and night vision. I’d recommend it.

This camera is a powerhouse of features. First of all, it supports both local storage using a MicroSD card and cloud-based storage (done via the EZVIZ app). The setup was relatively simple and painless and allowed a follow-on to set up with other home hubs such as Alexa.

The camera itself is listed as having 3K 5MP, which provides a really clear image. It is also equipped for infrared-based night mode recording, which also has good clear imaging. It has motorized pan and tilt so you can view around just as if you were there turning your own neck. All of this is broadcast comfortably to monitoring devices such as your mobile phone over 2.4 or 5 GHz bands. In addition, the camera can be plugged in via Ethernet cable in the back.

There is a raft of AI features such as wave calling where video calls can be placed to the primary user of the camera; auto-zoom tracking, which detects whether an outline is human and zoom focuses on that person so you can make identifications; pet detection features such as meows and barks; baby cry detection, which makes it an ideal baby monitor. In addition, if it picks up something it feels you need to know about, such as unusual sounds, it will send out a notification.

In terms of privacy, it is built with a privacy shutter so you can disable the camera’s ability to hear, and the camera rotates inside itself, disabling its ability to see.

It is also quite eye-pleasing, with a modern globular shape that hides away nicely as a piece of furniture. Further to this, it also comes with mounting equipment that allows the camera to be mounted to walls and ceilings.

For the price of 79.99 (at the time of review), I feel this is a really great, feature-packed product. In addition, if you need an internal security system, it is easy to set up and is cost-effective alone in removing the need for a professionally installed system.
