How do they fit it all in?
Absolutely loving my A5 which replaced my GEEKOM IT8.
32Gb/500Gb + int SSD + ext SSD + ext HDD + ext NAS
I love (but don’t understand) how they fit so much technology into a tiny little cube.
Colour-wise, on the outside it’s sort of rose gold and… well…tiny!
Front face gives me 2xUSB and a 3mm speaker port, left side offers a SD card thingy, the other side a Kensington port, and on the back…well…we’ll start counting the ports… I won’t list them here in case the design changes.. look at the images.. but there are WAY more than you’ll need.
For such a tiny unit I really don’t understand how it works so well… but work it does. It’s not even flinched at anything I’ve thrown at it through Word/Excel/Outlook/Photos/Videos.
The MOST important thing here is the customer service… I had an issue with my IT8 where it just powered itself off…I approached GEEKOM via chat (within my 3 YEAR warranty) and they escalated the issue to the 2nd Line techies – I was very lucky in that Shirley picked up my ticket and followed the standard incident process – establish the issue, interrogate logs, figure out a resolution, supply a fix.
I must say that Shirley was absolutely amazing – I have worked in incident management for 25 years and I know how it should be – Shirley was absolutely World Class.
My issue was resolved – and yes I would buy another GEEKOM in a heartbeat. Thank you Shirley and thank you GEEKOM.
A fabulous mini compute
I don’t do much gaming, but I do a lot of work with spreadsheets, this little computer packs a punch and with Windows 11 it adds that little extra plus to it. Great desktop computer, great price
A small window to a big world
I’m absolutely chuffed with the Geekom Mini IT11. Setting it up was a doddle, no messing about whatsoever. It’s night and day compared to my old HP desktop – everything runs like a dream now. The unit is whisper quiet – you wouldn’t know it was on most of the time. It’s baffling how they’ve managed to cram so much grunt into such a tiny box!
To maximise desk space, I’ve attached the Mini IT11 to the back of my brand new Philips 271V8LA 27-inch monitor using the included VESA mount. This keeps the footprint tiny and all the ports are readily accessible. To minimise clutter and free up the USB ports, I’ve opted for a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo. It’s a perfect all-round solution!
I highly recommend the Geekom Mini IT11 🙂
Initial review
This is an update review on the A7 Ryzen 9 7490 Mini PC. After purchasing the PC I tried to add a dual boot with Linux, but with no word of warning when you alter the disk partition enabling a new operating system you are locked out of the PC and need to enter a long winded password to a separate PC which then comes back with an ID to gain access. Feeling put out, I decided to do away with Windows and use it solely as a Linux PC. All went well except there was no bluetooth, the machine is very fast, I ran 5 separate iterations of an HD video in different windows on the PC. All ran well and could be moved around and resized in an instant. I did initially gripe and complain to Geekcom who responded and offered a refund or replacement, but as I am now settled with the PC, I could not part with it. Being a new machine there was an issue with the documentation which GeekCom have informed me will be uploaded to their website. After having the PC now for a week and downloaded all the software I need, I am more than happy with it.
Powerful, easy to set up and great value
Very impressed. Less than half the price of a similar spec laptop, it’s perfect for home/office where you don’t need portability. It takes up very little space on the desk and is mostly silent, with only occasional fan noise when it is doing heavier processing. Windows Pro was easy to set up and the processor and RAM make for very smooth and fast running. Delighted I bought this.
Useful little box
Works well after replacing MS 11 with Linux.
Installed Mint Cinnamon Edge version and all works as expected.
NB: Requires newest Linux kernel to function correctly – hence Edge version of software.
Powerful little beas
After reading mixed reviews about mini pcs in general, I ordered this GEEKOM A7 to try out for our office. After some confusion on the Amazon site about the actual model ordered i.e., Ryzen 9 7980H or Ryzen 7 7890H, the item (7890H with 32gm ram and 1T ssd) arrived within two days, earlier than expected.
Got a VAT invoice from GEEKOM directly and also an explanation and apology about the confusion at the ordering stage.
Setting up very easy, win11pro pre installed. I can’t believe how this small pc can handle multi tasking, four screens etc etc. It runs pretty cool too and has a constant low level fan noise, much better than the high end laptop I’ve recently had, and returned for noise and heating issues.
Wondering why the unit is sitting sideways in the picture on the stand?
Well as all the reviews of other mini pcs will tell you that the wifi card is located at the bottom and cramped between other components. Hence wifi strength of all mini pcs is an issue, not exclusively on GEEKOM.
Therefore, I had to experiment with changing its orientation to get the best wifi signal.
I also got the latest WiFi card driver from the GEEKOM support which I haven’t tried as putting it sideways (exposing the bottom plate towards the router) gets the max wifi speed which is almost identical to all the other computers connected to the router.
All in all, very pleased so far from the product and the support too.
Good things do come in small packages
Excellent little mini compute
I was amazed at the size, so small but obviously packs a lot in performance wise. I purchased this for Hauptwerk to connect via usb midi dongle and found it easy to set up with my Allen 2 manual and pedal ‘church’ organ. Absolutely no problems connecting what I needed to do with USB C to 15.5 inch monitor Fully function cable to monitor. I’ve just ordered a second monitor of the same make (touch screen). I’m pleased with the built in Realtek on the computer, High definition and headphone output. Previous mini computer not this make sound was awful. This one flawless.
Only slight ‘drawback’ is not enough sockets so purchased a hub and now no problem. Plenty of power to run hauptwerk virtual organs with 32 gig of ram but can upgrade to 64 if I want. Now installed an extra 1 terabyte SSD for storage. in the computer. Windows 11 pro already installed so not too long to set up and update via internal internet communication. Likewise this pc has Bluetoooth. Not tried that out yet. My old PC was a tower running windows 10 pro but I wanted something physically for the Allen organ and seems I found it in the Geekom. So far so good as I’ve not had the Geekom that long. So far not disappointed. i found it hard to find information on running Hauptwerk 8 in a mini computer and was disappointed with previous make but this Geekom has performed flawlessly.
After much research I bought a GEEKOM Mini it11 as a replacement for my ageing laptop pc. I have been looking at the mini pc format for a while as it is the ideal size for the limited desk space I have available. The Geekom IT11 has a great spec for my needs: Photography/Videography, and general home office working. I’m not a gamer and so cannot comment on how good it would be for that.
This pc is tiny and quite literally sits in the palm of my hand and I don’t have particularly big hands. It fits so neatly on my desk beneath my monitor and so far runs almost silently. The fan noise in normal use is barely perceptible and non-intrusive. 32gb RAM is more than sufficient for my usage at present, but it is reassuring to know that I can easily upgrade to 64gb if necessary in future. the i7 processor and 1Tb SSD means a fast boot-up time and plenty of storage built in. I’m investigating adding a 2.5inch disc or SSD into the empty slot in the base of the machine to increase my built in storage for photo’s and videos. I also use a NAS and cloud storage for this so as to provide multiple back-ups.
Connectivity is fantastic for a pc of this size. I currently use one monitor but it will apparently support up to eight monitors! I’ve added a powered USB hub as I have a lot of external devices needing USB connection.
Build quality is very good and the unit feels solidly constructed. I am altogether delighted with this mini PC so far and have not had to call on the apparently excellent Technical Support Geekom provide.
Would I recommend the Geekom Mini IT11? Absolutely, but make sure the spec meets your needs particularly if you are into Gaming.
It was so easy to set up and use
This computer was so easy to use straight out of the box and for the first time ever I got a piece of tech gear working perfectly in less than half an hour, it did it all itself really. Absolutely brilliant I will certainly buy all my tech gear from GEEKCOM in future.
Device is showing video artifacts and freezing, after not even a month
The device was initially working great. Not even a month later, it started showing video artifacts and now fails to boot, as it freezes at the boot screen or while trying to load the OS. I reached out to tech support from Geekom on their site, but never got an answer. Never buying from this company again.
Update: After the review, the Geekom team from Amazon reached and replaced the faulty project. It seems Amazon and the site are managed by different teams. I’ve updated the review to 4 stars, and will keep testing the device.
Fast. Boots up in 15 seconds. Easy to add more RAM, SDD, and HDD. It is more than enough for my needs. But internet download speeds were slow. My router is 6 meters and 3 walls away from this PC and downloads range from 1.5 – 4.5 Mbps. My old laptop (next to this PC) was around 40Mbps. Took it nearer to the router and download was 130Mbps but I need this PC in my office. Changed the adaptor settings to 2.4GHz 802 1b/g (greater range but less data transfer) and this improved to 18Mbps. Not great but workable. Not sure why the downloads are slower than my old laptop. Mailed Geekom and waiting for a reply. Nevertheless, it is a great mini PC, although I suspect the GEEKOM AS 6 Mini PC AMD Ryzen 6000H (AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, Ryzen 7 7735H) would be a better product as it has a far better graphics card.
Edit. My download speed now ranges from 18 – 50Mbps.

Three months ago I purchased the Geekom Mini Air. It’s the cheapest Geekom Mini PC in their range, only having a Celeron processor. I was intrigued as to how a PC could be made for under 160. I was blown away. Cut a long story short I watched the launch event for the new IT13 a few weeks ago and could not resist getting another Geekom, but this time see what a more powerful model could do.
Unsurprisingly the I9 and i7 processors had all sold out. I couldn’t wait for a restock so ordered the i5. Figured it could still have more than enough power for what I need it for.
The unboxing experience is excellent, really well packaged in a nice sturdy box. I love that Geekom also includes a VESA mount in the box so this little PC can be mounted on to the back of your monitor or tv. Nice touch.
I swapped my shiny new IT13 for my still very capable mini air and pressed the on button. Wow, booted to Windows in seconds. What I love about Geekom, and can’t be said for pretty much all other PC manufacturers is the fact they do not install bloatware or software trials on your machine. What you get with Geekom is a 100% clean Windows 11 Pro install. It’s so refreshing. No spending hours trying to delete all the usual rubbish. Impressed already I updated Windows and decided to run some benchmarks.
For you techies, achieved well over 95% of the expected Cinebench R23 Scores with
Multicore 13850 (expected 13970)
Single Core 1699 (expected 1789)
Excellent results for the new i13 processors featuring 12 total cores, 16 total threads, 4.70ghz max turbo frequency and 24 mb Intel Smart Cache.
Graphics are processed via the onboard Iris Xe graphics chip. While this isn’t going to compete with the monster graphics cards found in most gaming PC’s it does a decent job at most games giving a more than acceptable frame rate, and coupled with the DDR 4-300 RAM you should not expect any throttling.
Looking at the IO the GEEKOM offers some serious connectivity
3 X USB 3.2 Gen 3 ports
1 X USB 2.0 ports
2 X USB 4 ports
SD Card Reader
Should also mention the 2 x HDMI ports which along with the USB 4 ports gives quad displays and supports 8k!!!! Amazing
Incredible. 4 displays and the pc can be mounted into the back of one of the displays for a really clean desktop.
For the last 6/7 years I’ve been an avid Mac user and totally gave up on PC’s due to all the bloatware and slow loading times. This GEEKOM gives me the same Mac experience, speedy, and no delays but with the ability to upgrade the pc easily. In my mini Air I removed four screws and within a minute had upgraded the RAM and added a new NVMe drive. I was planning on doing the same to this It13 but it’s so rapid I’m not even thinking of upgrading for a while.
I cannot recommend these GEEKOM units enough. This won’t be the last one I buy. If you want a really easy, reliable home PC you really don’t need to look any further. No big bulky box consuming electricity ( did you know the running costs of these small PC’s saves 100’s per year) these can fit away out of sight and coupled with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse give a really clean setup. Even attached to back of a tv, brilliant for streaming. The WiFi and Bluetooth connections are also really quick.(WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2).
Go for it. You will not be disappointed.
Great computer, poor suppo
Not only is this a mini marvel in terms of performance, it also has great connectivity and it’s quiet. It won’t suit gamers and video editors, but for office productivity it’s great. It has just replaced one of my ASUS ATX Intel 12th Gen computers running Office. The UEFI BIOS is set for normal performance so fan noise is a whisper. The 2x16GB Lexar memory modules are configured as single channels, therefore graphics are UHD not Iris Xe. GEEKOM have confirmed to me that the graphics are not Iris Xe eligible contrary to their specification. There isn’t a memory channel setting in BIOS so it it isn’t capable of change unless GEEKOM issue a revised BIOS. Although GEEKOM Support wrote that I could try an m.2 NVMe 2230 SSD, the only fixing is for the more expensive 2242. GEEKOM service closed from 29 September until 7 October, are administrative not technical and, glacial in speed. The GEEKOM IT12 i7 32GB/1TB is a great buy, but change the BIOS to dual channel memory and, have technical backup to Support and it would be brilliant. Consider the GEEKOM IT13 as well if you need Iris Xe graphics.
Impressionna
An excellent and very powerful mini pc
For the price it’s an excellent mini pc.
* Powerful
* Not too expensive
* Supports 4k video (I am using it as a media box)
* Very fast startup times
* Quiet
* Easy to upgrade ram, ssd
I have a NAS which stores my media. This PC has no problem coping with it.
I had one issue with the one I recieved but after hardware scan/debug it reported there was an issue with the RAM stick installed. I contacted Geekom support and received a reply within 12 hours. Shirley at Geekom spent a couple of days supporting me and eventually refunded 30 so I can simply buy new RAM and replace it myself. This only involves unscrewing the feet and taking off the bottom.
Good computer, but not for me
Firstly, I should maybe have read the details more thoroughly. The Computer is a perfectly good piece of “kit”, it’s just not for me. I didn’t realise it was so small, the picture on Amazon is a bit deceiving. There’s no Dvd facility, this was my No.1 complaint, and it was not compatible with my printer. Finally, it being so small, I had a battle with the cable connections. I deducted a star because of the Dvd issue.
Solid build quality, nice finish. Very small, compact with lots of ports. It also has an IR sensor so theoretically ehome remote capable – not tried yet.
W11 preinstalled, once configured and updated it’s ready to go. Very fast!! But not suitable for high end gaming. (Asphalt 9 still runs smoothly.)
I added my own ssd drive to it as well.
Perfect for office, family pc, or even as a home theater pc. Plays/streams 4k videos nicely. I use it for audio/video editing, Photoshop, office work etc.
Due to compact size the cpu temp is always above 40-45 Celsius, even if idle. Under low load or when idle the fan is very quiet, nearly silent. I wouldn’t tell if the device is on without looking at the led button. You can watch 4k movies at night without the fan disturbing.
Under load the cpu temp can rise above 65-70 Celsius and the fan is annoyingly noisy. The solution is to disable turbo boost from the Bios or from Power mgt: with this the cpu will not overclock and not overheat.. so the fan remains always silent. The system remains still usable and very fast, you cannot really notice any performance difference with everyday usage.
Generally I am very happy with it, esp. with the performance and connectivity options. Oh, and Ubuntu runs also perfectly on it 🙂
I can highly recommend it.
Update:
If you connect this to a smart TV via hdmi output, it will break the CEC control and ARC feature on the TV. In my case it’s a Samsung 4k TV. This means, if you have other devices connected to the TV (AV-Receiver, sky box, fire tv etc) the unified remote control and audio return channel feature will stop working. This is because the MiniPC’s hdmi port does not support CEC and it scrambles the signal. The same issue can occur when connecting the minipc directly to an AVR via hdmi.
There are 2 solutions for this problem:
1. Use a small cec-less hdmi male-female adapter on either end of the hdmi cable (between minipc and TV). This basically stops the cec signal.
2. Use another port to connect the minipc with the TV (with an adapter). i.e. mini display port to hdmi, or usb-c to hdmi. The picture quality is the same, but these ports do not have CEC control. Although you might get different refresh rates and hdr controls, depending on the cables/adapters used. Buy good quality cables supporting high resulutions and refresh rates!
No CEC troubles when connecting to a normal pc monitor (via hdmi).
I ordered this because my i7 computer failed. It came next day and when I unpacked it I felt like I was unpacking an Apple product. Everything about it felt professional. And it is so small but very well made in solid metal rather than a tinny feel. I connected it up and thought the interfaces were ok, though I did buy a 7 port USB hub to enhance it. It is all so neat though, with a couple is USB C interfaces. So I fired it up and set about installing it and restoring files. I was a bit confused at first about what it was doing because it uses OneDrive by default if you have it so that without effort all your files are backed up. Normal this is something I would have to set up myself. I am surprised how fast it is for a Celeron compared to an i7, but then again it is 11th gen compaired to 7th gen. It comes with windows 11 pre-installed which my old computer couldn’t take. For general purpose computing and file management it is perfect. I can well believe it is good for gaming and streaming too. The display is outstanding. It is so good I forgot about the disappointment that my other computer packed up!
Ein sehr interessantes Gert. Schnell, klein schick.
