I have not tested them out yet however from first look they look good quality. The ribbed finish is a plus point together with the British Standards kite mark. All in all, very pleased
Reassuring to buy something with a British Standard mark, which you don’t see so much these days. Good quality hot water bottle. I bought one of these several years ago and it’s still going strong with frequent use.
So pleased I bought this hot water bottle, it arrived quickly. It’s actually made of natural rubber and has lovely thick construction. The British Standard mark is imprinted on the item, along with instructions on lip of the bottle on how to fill and care for the product. What I really like the quality ribbing on one side, so the heat is gentle on the skin, with the smooth side for more intense heat. The stopper is well-designed and fits very well without having to over tighten. There is no way it’s going to leak. I got the 2kg size, in, lovely festive colour. Retains heat well, and I know this item is going to last a long time. Very pleased.
My hot water bottle died just when it was freezing cold, so I scoured Amazon for a new one. This one was getting so many great reviews and the price was brilliant. Also next day delivery was needed to keep the cold at bay . I had kept the faux fur sock my last bottle was in and it fitted perfectly. Definitely something we all should have nowadays especially with the cost of energy etc. Nice getting into bed without sheet shock. Also great for any painful bits we have.
Nothing to get excited about a hot water bottle, but, important to choose a quality product. These bottles are a good size and seem to be well made of good materials and conform to British Standards. I bought two and they weren’t expensive compared to any others available, but I have confidence in them and kept the cost down as I am reusing covers from older bottles which became unsafe.
A fine water bottle, but a few gripes.
The main one is that the rubber it’s made of is really “clingy” on both sides, and it makes it difficult to move around when in bed. You can’t just give it a push with your hand or foot to move it around because it sticks to the bedsheet like its life depends on it.
Or maybe all water bottles are like this, and my old one has just gotten hard and slippery over time.
The other gripe is that the cap and the hole are a little bit narrow, so it takes a bit more time and effort to screw the cap in. But it’s not really a big deal by any means.
My old water bottle is probably about 10 years old at this stage, which is why I bought this new one, in case my old one leaks, but I’m still using the old one because it’s easier to fill and to move around in the bed, under the legs, over the legs, under the arm, up behind my back, etc..
Bought these as a cost effective replacement for 2 hot water bottles which had started to leak. Can’t really comment on how long they will last but they seem fine so far. My only preference would’ve been a paler colour as our covers are cream and the red shows through.
I love a hot water bottle. All year round too so I’m becoming a well seasoned veteran. I wish I’d seen these sooner as I usually have problems with screw tops not fitting and a general feeling if “it won’t last”. This one feels far superior and the seams give me more confidence they’ll hold well. The bottle was coated in a light oil which I figure will help protect the material it’s composed of. It rinsed off with soapy water and now smells so cosy and rubbery when it’s filled. If you know what I mean you’ll know the comforting smell I’m talking about. I’m planning on buying a couple more
It’s a hot water bottle! What is there to say? Great colour, excellent value, no issues with leaking. Retains the heat well and has a nice non slip surface.
The only negatives are the lack of an extra lip round the stopper in order to hold easier without the risk of splashing hot water on your fingers and the lack of a hole at the bottom (or top) in order to drain/hang. These two negatives are not enough to not buy the bottle so meets my recommendation.
