It looks very similar to the official Sony Charging station, however it also has RGB lighting which you can turn on or off. Charges well and is very sturdy, however it would be nice if the padding on the bottom was a little bit thicker. Overall very good!

if u use or have 1 control i would not get this but if u have and use 2 controls double play well this is well worth buying the charging station is so small that it takes up no space at all on the desk and i love how the indicator lights enlighten me to when it is charging red to when it is fully charged green it took about 3 hours to fully charge and i adore the rgb colours that are visually pleasing depending on my mood if the rgb colours become irritating i just switch them off at the led display.
How did I cope before I go this charger.
This is a super handy device, all I have to do now after when I’m finished is just place the controller onto this and it’s is ready for the next time I need it.
No more forgetting to charge the pad, thankfully.
You can plug this into your PS5 to power it and most people probably will, I personally don’t like cables dangling everywhere, therefore I power up this from a separate usb plug, I also prefer to power down my console completely when finished with it, so it is the easiest solution for me.
The charger come in a nice box, showing the device in a nice light and I have to say I don’t think the images do the charger justice, as it looks rather nice at night time with the rgb shining up all along it. and if that is too off putting, there is a switch on the back that turns off the rgb lighting.
The build quality feels very nice and robust, I’m sure it will give me a long time of service.
It also blends in very well with the aesthetics of the consoles being a similar shape as the console, so it doesn’t look out of place when sat next to it.
Overall a very nice charger, would highly recommend
The HELLCOOL Ps5 Controller Charging Station arrived well packaged, in the box were the charging station, USB cable, warranty card and full instructions.
The charging station was very easy to set up and holds the controller safely, it charges quickly there is a battery protection function, so to charge the controller the battery level of the controller must be under 80%.
The LED lights can be turned off with a simple switch but for me personally I don’t mind them being left on. The dock doesn’t take up a lot of room so can be put in a smaller space, overall for the price 19.99 at the time of review I think it is good value

Tested fine with two controllers charging. I like the fact that you can switch off the LEDS (which are actually quite pretty) but can be distracting.
Pros:
Easy setup, nothing special needed here, comes with the USB-C to USB-C power lead to plug directly into your PS5.
Looks identical to the Sony version but has pretty lights on the front.
Just rest the controllers on this to charge.
Cons:
None, at this price it’s well worth the money.
Conclusion:
A cheaper alternative to the Sony charger which works well and has the added benefit of some pretty lighting (which can be switched off if required).

This charger certainly keeps my PlayStation area tidier and thanks to the charger’s changing LED colour lights, more stylish too.
Of course, the main purpose is that both of my controllers are charging, and indeed they do, and I think they fast charge too as far as I can tell.
The charger has large charging indicator lights which I appreciate. While charging, they show red. When fully charged, they show green.
While the charger is connected, whether controllers are on it or not, it will always give a cyclic LED show of colours along the body’s inner rim for decorative effect (I show a few pictures of just some of the colours it smoothly cycles through). I love it but sometimes it can be a distraction so thoughtfully there is an on/off button to turn off the LED display, this will also turn off the indicator charging indicators lights off too.
Connecting the controllers onto the charger is a fairly easy slot in. It’s possible to accidentally knock the controller to a slight tilt and thus lose connection but you I would know if this happens as the charging light will go from red to green. So, there is no fear of thinking its charging when it’s actually not.
Lovely product and sits proudly on top of my “flat” oriented PS5.
