An awesome little water bottle, the straw is huge and means you can just take gulps and the straw doesn’t slow you down at all. A great size to hold and goes through the dishwasher nicely.

Good quality water bottle, great vibrant colour and perfect lock seal so haven’t had any problems with leakage. Having said that I don’t have a bag that I ever leave bottles in, mainly just loose on my car seat and have had previous bottle spill but not with this one yet.

This is another great bottle from Ion8. It looks stylish and works well. And it has a straw, which is great for those days when you need to spend time in bed with a cold and need all the rest you can get. It looks and feels great, and despite it being plastic (and thus contributing to the micro-plastic contamination of your own body), this plastic is one that repels bacteria and responds very well to thorough cleaning.

The brush it comes with is super handy and the colour looks quite stylish, too, though black is rarely my first choice. He blue is genuinely beautiful on this bottle and as transparent as needs be. Love the blue one.

My quest for the perfect kids’ water bottle ended when I stumbled upon this little gem with a built-in straw. It’s like someone took the essence of childproofing, mixed it with a dash of practicality, and poured it into this bottle. The vibrant colours and patterns are a hit with the kids, making hydration seem like less of a chore and more of an adventure. It’s survived more drops than I can count, testament to its durability, and the straw feature means I’m not constantly cleaning up spills. However, convincing my kids that the water bottle isn’t a toy is a daily battle, especially with the intriguing straw mechanism. I’d recommend it to any parent looking for a fuss-free way to keep their kids hydrated, with the added bonus of it being as sturdy as their endless energy reserves.

This is advertised as a kid’s bottle. But I actually use it for myself, when I want to carry a smaller bottle in my handbag.
I ordered the red bottle, and the colour is bold and bright.
This has a triple lock on it, so it is truly leakproof. The latch that needs to be pushed up and down is a little bit stiff and can be a bit fiddly. But once it’s been done a few times, it seems to get easier.
The straw is detachable, so can be washed thoroughly. It comes off by twisting and can be pushed back into place.
The bottle is dishwasher proof and I have tested this – there has been no damage to the bottle after it’s been put in the dishwasher.
There’s a ring pull on it, as an alternative to how you hold the bottle. I found this a bit stiff to open and close.
There are measurements along the side of the bottle, which is a good marker for how much you’ve drunk.
Overall, this has a lot of good features, and looks good. The latches/ring pulls do seem a little bit tough to open and close, that’s the only downside.

Most importantly, this bottle does not leak when it contains a cold liquid and provided the lid is locked shut. The finish is very tactile, the built in straw component works incredibly well and the way it has been designed discourages biting or chewing of the mouthpiece. The lock mechanism is effective and easy to use one-handed as advertised and the lid contains a carrying ring so you can carry it with one finger. So far, so good.

On the downside, this bottle (500 ml size) is quite heavy before it is even filled which is no problem if you are using it in a static location but I would not fancy lugging this around while on the move. It comes with a list of “do not” instructions which include do not use with carbonated drinks and do not use brushes (or abrasives) to clean. Now this last element gives me particular cause for concern because whilst the straw is certainly wider than most – meaning that it should clean effectively in a dishwasher – when it comes to reusable straws I only really trust a good, soapy brush. It is also a bit of a pain to disassemble. I think a solution for the manufacturer would be to include a spare straw, tell the consumer they can use a brush on the straw only but to dispose of the straws if/when they show signs of degradation from cleaning.

This bottle did take a ridiculously long time to arrive, in fact I doubted it was ever going to come but eventually it did and it’s actually pretty good. Leak proof? Yes so far so good.

This ION 8 kid’s water bottle is used for my son to take to school and up to now from using this everyday we have had no issues with leaking and it seems a really good quality sturdy bottle.

This has a misty sort of look to it and I was impressed with the straw attachment as it is a lot better than the normal ones with a decent fitting and thicker size straw. I really like the lock feature on this as well so if you accidently push the button to open it the lock keeps it shut to avoid any accidental leaking, you push the plastic bar up to lock it and down to be able to use as normal.

This bottle is a really nice size for school with it being on the smaller size but can still hold a good amount (350ml) the only negative I have for this is the handle on it, it clips into the bottle so it isn’t in your way if you need to store it which is good although it can take some effort to get it back out when you do want to use it which is something my 5 year old can’t do, not a major problem but something to mention, apart from that I think this is a great bottle which I would recommend and buy in the future if the price came down a little.

This bottle feels well made and very robust, my son has taken it to school and it has survived being thrown around in his school bag with is great testament to the quality.

The lid has a clever double lock mechanism (a sliding catch and a flip over guard) which is very secure preventing accidental opening. Once open the lid is attached so no fear of dropping it.

There is a small loop handle on the back of the bottle but this is a bit annoying to access when it is clipped down as it is very difficult to get a hold of.

The bottle is made of plastic with a nice textured outer meaning it is easy to grip and doesn’t slip out of wet hands.

There are some measurements printed on the outside of the bottle but as the material is completely opaque you cannot see the internal liquid level at all making the markings useless.

To drink from the bottle you can use the internal, wide, straw so you keep the bottle upright or remove the straw and tip the bottle to drink.

The straw doesn’t quite go to the very bottom of the bottle so there is always a bit of liquid left when drinking through the straw.

Overall a quality bottle with just a couple of very minor annoyances.

I love this little water bottle.
It’s great when you want to take out water with you but not carry a weighty big bottle.
    Hasn’t leaked at all.
The great feature about this is the loop handle folds away neatly into the lid, great for putting bottle in a pocket on a bag or coat without a bulky carry loop sticking oyt like other bottles have.
Used it on recent trip abroad and also on short walks out and about.

A good small water bottle with a good sealing cap(with a double lock mechanism for extra leakproofness??)
500 mls is probably ok for kids but a little bit small for me if trying to keep hydrated. Its also non insulated so will heat up quite a bit on those warm sunny days we get here in the UK ?? especially if its a dark coloured one.
The ‘straw’ is a nice wide design so you don’t have to ‘suck’ hard although it has a slash cut at the bottom so you can’t get all the liquid out(doesn’t leave much but just pointing it out).
The outer coating has a nice textured feel to it and gives it an extra grippy feel even with wet hands.
Has graduated markings on the outside of the bottle which are basically useless as there is no way to see the level of liquid inside.
All in all a decent water bottle but you can spend a couple of pounds more (or even less money than this bottle from this same company) and get an insulated steel one that will last a lot longer and is probably more eco friendly.

Just nabbed meself this bang-on Ion8 Water Bottle with a straw and honestly, it’s a bit of a lifesaver. 100% leak-proof and BPA-free, so no drama with spills. The built-in straw means I can keep on truckin’ without missing a beat, whether I’m out for a jog or stuck at the desk. Fits dead handy in any cup holder or bag, and it’s a doddle to clean – straight in the dishwasher it goes. Plus, it’s proper eco, made from non-toxic, odour-resistant Recyclon. This is a cute 500m red bottle with a straw,is leak proof and seems well made however unfortunately I received it with a dent on the lock.
It has a slim design and is very versatile and practical on the go, whether you are at home, or out and about or at the gym.
Sadly I thought it was a a vacuum insulated bottle, as I mainly drink warm water, but it’s not the case.

Compact little bottle great for lunchboxes. I love the colour.

This kids water bottle has a lock function and is fully leakproof. It has a loop for attaching to bags etc.

You need to unlock then pass the button to open the lid. Its a strange drinking straw/spout as the hole is quite big with the straw in but i did like it without the straw.

There are ml and fluid oz markings on the bottle to keep track of how much your child is drinking.

The biggest issue i have with the bottle is opening it. I struggle to get the lid open by pressing the button. 3 children have tried to open it 5yo, 9yo and 12yo. The 5yo couldn’t open it at all, 9yo could have using some force and the 12yo could open it but its not comfortable.

These days everyone want to carry a bottle of liquid with them whether it’s Water, Juice or whatever and this one fits the bill nicely.

What I like about this particular Bottle is the Flip-Up lid. There’s a catch at the top you press down on and the lid springs open, fold it back down and it clicks into place again….a very positive and secure action.
The outside of the Bottle has a grippy type feel about it which is very handy if you use it whilst out running and the straw inside is detachable so easily cleaned.

Although I can’t say it one of the cheapest out, there it’s cost is a reflection of it’s quality which is very good.

It’s worth paying a little more for a decent item which this Drinking Bottle is. Ticks all of the boxes and definately worth a look.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stylish Drinking Bottle.

Bought for me, not for the kids! With a 12oz capacity, this is enough for me when out and about (esp. with plenty of places to fill up these days). It’s small enough to be convenient, yet fits nicely in the hand. It’s a very tactile, satin-like finish that is easy to hold. Doesn’t clatter about if knocked over or in a bag with other stuff. The lid unscrews for filling, and the cap flips open with a very positive thumb release (see video). Once open, a gentle push further back on the lid holds it securely open and out of the way so it doesn’t flap back onto your nose as you drink.

The drinking hole is generously sized to quench your thirst easily, and the internal straw (which can be removed) doesn’t unduly constrain the hole. Gulping down under gravity or sucking up with the straw, either is easy and mess-free. Much better than some “sports cap” type bottles. For cleaning, the top comes off entirely and the width at the top is enough to be able to do a proper clean inside.

Not the cheapest of water bottles, but works really well and seems like it should really last, so pretty good value. Mine took almost 2 weeks to arrive, but I guess this is because it’s only just been launched.

This is definitely my new favourite water bottle, the (grand-)kids won’t get a look in 🙂
