Firstly, considering the price of this drone, I will say it’s reasonably okay. But considering the quality and the price its seems abit expensive but operation isn’t too bad for a beginner and I think it can be better but not too bad.

For this price, it’s not the most cheapest drone, however, it’s very well made and lightweight which I like. In terms of it’s flight, it’s a standard drone with usual features. I have flown different drones in the past so was fairly comfortable in its operations and maneuver. I like the single button return mode too which is very helpful and crucial now a days in drones.

This drone comes with 2 batteries which is brilliant and these are rechargeable. However, you need 3x AA standard batteries to use in the controller. Would have preferred if similar rechargeable batteries were also provided for the controller. I flew the drone for around 30 mins and it was fine. I also took it to around 80 meters with no issues. The camera quality isn’t too great but still fairly decent. There was no flickering and very little lag when viewing the video.

The drone is also easy to carry as it folds nicely and can be stored into its case. The remote controller has quite a few buttons and I am not yet aware of all the functions available. Another good thing about this drone is as its fairly lightweight, it doesn’t require registering with CAA.

All in all, it’s a decent drone especially for beginners and with some practice it can be a lot of fun. Given its features and operation, I would rate it as 4 stars.

I am actually impressed with this camera drone.
It does feel quite powerful ,it needs space in order to use it as it is too powerful for small spaces.
Super easy to use ,it only needs to open the ‘legs’ of the drone .turn the drone on as well as the remote.
Few seconds needed to pair and is ready.
Did try a bit in the house and panic so I had to manually stop the drone.
That wasn’t a good idea as I got a small cut on my finger .
    Good size ,easy for beginners.
Will be used in the summer on the beach.

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressed!

Firstly, as this drone has a camera, you do need a license to fly this, you need to register and cannot fly this without it to adhere to the law. My son has a couple of drones so he already pays for it so this wasn’t a problem.

This drone is good quality, nicely packaged with case and the controller is sturdy. My son is used to flying drones so found this very straight forward.

The camera is very good quality, the reception can be a bit hit and miss where we live and using the camera does cause the battery to run out quicker, so bear that in mind.

All in all, a good quality drone, would prefer a longer battery life when using the camera.

I’m a total novice, never tried a drone before but I was really pleased to get the opportunity to try one out and get some quality bonding time with my grandson. It was unbelievable easy to set up. There is a QR code to scan inside the instruction leaflet which leads you to a step by step youtube video which is easy to follow. You pop 3 x AA batteries (not supplied) in the controller, pull out the four arms of the drone, press on button for 3 seconds, turn controller on, push the left controller up then down, push the circular ‘refresh’ button to calibrate it, then you are good to go. It’s wise to watch the video though for an overview of what each button does and how to change speeds etc. My flying skills on the video were rubbish (I nearly took the lightbulb out) but you get the idea, it shoots up fast so probably wiser to take it outside first! Note that there is a protective sheet over the camera lens which needs to be removed before use – I don’t think this is mentioned in the written instructions or the video and could possibly be the reason some reviewers do not rate the camera quality. The drone has 2 x rechargeable 1800 batteries. There is also a QR code in the instruction leaflet to download the App from your mobiles normal App Store which will enable you to use the camera feature. Overall, as beginners, we have found it to be great fun.

As an entry level drone described as beginner friendly this item lives up to that spec in some ones and not others.
On first impression you get the feeling that the lightweight construction of the drone and controller are cheap and as a result will not be very durable.
The drone itself is powered by a rechargeable battery pack of which you get 2, which I found a brilliant bonus. However the controller requires AA batteries (x3) which you have to source yourself.
The drone battery packs are recharged via the old style usb connectors. Considering that USB-C cables are common place these days you would of thought these would be the connector of choice. But no.
Despite being labelled beginner friendly there is a definite learning curve when first using the drone but I guess this would be the case for any new drone user.
Also I found I either wasn’t setting the drone up correctly or some of the stated features didn’t really seem to work. The obstacle avoiding one springs to the front of my mind (LOL).
The camera attached to the drone is of average quality and lacks image stabilization. Due to this you get the impression the camera quality is worse than it actually is. I wouldn’t say its 1080p though. More like 720p and possibility upscaled.

Overall this is a half decent drone for experimenting if ever you’ve considered buying one but the hefty price tags have put you off.

PROS: Rechargeable batteries for the drone. / Spare rotor blades / Decent flight time on 1 charge
CONS: Lightweight construction / No provided batteries for the controller / App issues /

While this isn’t absolutely the most beginner friendly drone I’ve ever tried, it is fairly easy to use. It’s also pretty basic, but not the absolute cheapest out there. For this reason, camera/image quality is a little higher than the cheapest options and build quality is a little better, too. Ultimately, this is good fun and the price of course means that breaking it is less of an issue than it would be with a crazy expensive item.

    Super Fun little drone.

Takes a while to learn to fly it, at under 249g you dont need a full drone license but should sit the 40 question CAA test to get a Flyer ID.

    Its robust and survives impacts.

Comes with 2 x 15min flying time batteries.

You need 3 AA batteries for the remote.
You can pair with a phone to use the screen and record videos.

    Good value beginners drone.

Really happy with this drone. Bought it for me and the kids to play with. Controls work well and does everything its meant to.

30 minutes was about right for battery life and 100 metre range seemed accurate.

Would recommend as good starter done at this price level. And the kids loved it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!

If you’re looking for a drone for beginners then I would recommend this one. I took my grandson to the field across the road to try it out. Quite easy to put together and the instructions were clear. We had fun playing with this and he had a great run around trying to catch it lol
