Pillow Series
Offer you a cozy place to support your tablet.
Had for over a month now
Very happy with the quality and sturdiness of this phone holder. It has very good grip of the phone and very good grip on the other end too. I should have got this one sooner!
Best lazy arm!
I am pleased with this purchase of lamicall gooseneck phone holder as it is very handy for my worn out lazy arm. It can be capable of holding any type of smartphones.
Best recommended buy
pretty good
Its a good length, very strong, and seems to be sturdy.
No complaints but what is the weird qrey plastic bits for, they just seem to get in the way whenever I have the wire at a certain angle.
The metal arm is very strong…
The metal “arm” is strong so it takes a little effort to move, but once you’re happy with the position it’s very sturdy; the base can be clamped to most things and the phone sits very well in the “grip” end.
Excellent phone holder!
This is an excellent phone holder. You can set it up to hold your phone in exactly the position you want it, and then it does not budge, ever! I agree with other reviewers that the ‘neck’ is very stiff, and it takes a fair amount of strength to manipulate it. So it may be difficult to use for those with weakness in their hands.
Very useful
The clamp is easy to adjust and it fits anywhere which is very cool. You can also adjust the clip to change your phones orientation. The only downside to it is, its quite hard to bend into the position you want.
Handy for Watching while in bed
The phone holder is sturdy and has an elegant look. It’s not an eyesore next to the bed and it is also easy to attach & detach. Holds the phone well, as long as you’re not putting it to press against the power button! The holder itself is pretty sturdy, but does shake a little when you swipe which can be annoying; however, that is the only downside.
It’s great…but don’t over-tighten i
I wanted something simple to hold my phone for journalling videos and this product looked the most appealing to me. It is sturdy but it broke after a few days due to tightening it too much. The plastic part of the clamp broke off and rendered the product useless. I have since brought it again because I know it was my fault. The phone holder holds the the phone well and I would recommend not to flex the gooseneck part whilst the phone is in place as I found my phone did fall out. There is something about the item that causes the phone to shake but I had no issues whilst recording. Overall, I would say the gooseneck arm is much better than solely plastic ones.
This is a very useful accessory, I have it clamped to my tempered glass platform that my desktop tower PC sits on. I have my phone to the left of me “hanging” in mid air. The only negatives I find about this holder is that the bending of the thick black coated aluminium needs a lot of strength and precision to get it right.
Also it could do with a longer length as by the time you have bent and twisted it to your satisfaction it makes it a notably shorter distance from the clamp to the phone. It will also have a tendency to shake and jiggle to a degree, in use, while operating the phone. This seems to be a Universal issue with ALL of these goosneck style holders/stands for tablets and phones.
So Yes, very useful. You can rotate the clamp head round 360 degrees, but I wish this model had the ability to have a full gimball to move the phone screen left to right/up and down while static. Some of these stands on the market do have this feature.
With this model you have to change the position of the clamp at the other end to achieve this. although the way it is designed, and the way I have it attached to my Tempered Glass Plinth than my PC sits on you can move it back and forth anyway. That is true for me anyhow, but it depends where it is clamped on to.
You have to very occasionally tighten the clamp every so often. I find I give it a slight turn to tighten about once a week or so. The base clamp end at the bottom has a plastic mechanism to tighten or loosen the clamp. It has top and bottom rubber grips on the “jaws” of the clamp You tighten it by turning a plastic turning “barrel” which is incorporated just above the jaw clamps. At the other end you open the phone holder clamp by squeezing the back handles. It opens out with rubber edges to protect the phone. You then close the phone clamp and the phone is held securely in the rubber clamping holder mechanism. To get your phone out , you just open the jaws up again and lift the phone out.
The gooseneck is extremely stiff, needing two hands to shape it. But that’s a good thing, in that it’s not going to collapse or get knocked out of position. FIxing to the desk is easy and ergonomic, as is the operation of the clamp to hold the phone.
The disadvantage is that there is only one direction of movement in the clamp: rotation, enabling you to easily get the phone exactly horizontal or vertical. What would have been really useful (at least for my purposes) is some side-to-side and up-down movemen (in the other two dimensions), to change the angle of the device without having to wrestle with the gooseneck.
I’m using it to hold a camera (a small video camera used as a webcam), not a phone. The clamp holds the camera sideways, so the rotation of the clamp enables pointing it up or down, but not sideways (I need to manhandle the gooseneck to do that).
By the way, the grey rubber collars at either end of the gooseneck have no functional purpose, they are merely a design feature. You either think they are cool, or a little silly.
