Overview: I got this because I wanted to be able to use a USB gamepad with my tablet while it’s still attached to the charger. It definitely does that. I also tested it with a keyboard and a USB thumb drive, and it worked perfectly with those. Didn’t even slow down the charging as far as I could tell.
Detailed Review:
Packaging: The OTG adapter comes in a small zip locked bag. It’s easy to open and otherwise comes right out. Zero frustration in opening for me.
Setup: Plug the USB-C male end into your device. Plug your device’s USB-C charger into the USB-C female end. Then plug whatever you wanted to into the USB-A port. Note: not all devices support this functionality. I have two devices, a smart phone and a tablet, that work great with this but another, lower end smart phone that does not as it can’t use OTG adapters at all.
Use: I used it to transfer files, it handled that quite well. I used it with a keyboard to type out some stuff, and it worked perfectly. I then used it for what I really wanted to, plugging in a USB gamepad (8BitDo Pro 2 Wired Controller for those who might be curious) and playing some retro games. It worked wonderfully.
I’ve used adapters like this for my micro-USB devices for years, just never got around to getting one for my USB-C devices, and this works very well. The biggest benefit to this compared to some other models is that it is fairly compact, there’s no large separate block where the cords split as is common among other models, and that’s really nice for something like a tablet that’s in a display stand, as mine is.

Ho provato a collegare mouse, tastiera e hard disk esterno usb e funzionano perfettamente (su smartphone Xiaomi e Ipad Pro 2 generazione). Vengono riconosciute praticamente appena collegati.
L’hard disk deve essere alimentato come descritto dal venditore, altrimenti non avr la potenza necessaria per accendersi.
Ho provato diversi video fatti partire direttamente dall’hard disk e funzionano bene, anche saltando in momenti diversi non scatta mai, la velocit supportata molto buona.
Questo accessorio permette di poter caricare il vostro dispositivo mentre state utilizzando uno di questi accessori per rendere pi produttivo il vostro device. Questa la vera differenza rispetto ad altri accessori simili che si trovano sul mercato.
I plugged the splitter into my tablet’s single USB-C port. I can fast charge the tablet with the USB-C fork and at the same time use the USB-port for a mouse, or external drive USB2/3 drive.
As shown in my video, fast charge does not degrade in speed.
Great, convenient gadget for my timelapse excursions where I use the tablet to control my USB tethered DSLR camera while at the same time keep it charged.
A handy compact splitter with USB-C and USB-A. I have ones with more ports, but this is easily packed in with my charging cables. The pass-through for the USB-C allows concurrent charging while using the USB-A for, say a file copying, that reassures the battery won’t drain too fast. They have a quality feel with metal casing and a nice touch is the plastic cap over the plug preventing dust, nicer would be the same on the sockets.
