Neewer Fence Mount for Action Camera with Smartphone Holder
Neewer Fence Mount for Action Camera with Smartphone Holder, Shock Absorbing Adjustable Baseball Tennis Court Chain Link Gridwall Bracket Compatible with GoPro Insta360 DJI, PA020 Silve
I found this product was easy to attach firmly to chain link fencing. As has been my experience with other Neewer products, this phone fence mount is well-made and easy to use. The knobs screw down tightly and the elastic bands give a firm grip. As with all fence mounts, one is at the mercy of any movement of the fence: Some are worn and loose, and will sway in the wind or with spectators leaning on the fence. I found it worked well with both my smartphone and my GoPro. I found this product was easy to attach firmly to chain link fencing. Great for baseball This thing is awesome. Sturdy, secure, & great adjustments to get the best possible picture through chain link fence.
I use a GoPro & normally also use the squeeze mount to hold a battery bank, but have also allowed someone to use it for their phone to stream the games.
MY FAVORITE FENCE MOUNT BY FAR!!!!!! - and I have tried alo I have tried alot of fence mounts. This one is 100%, hands down my favorite (for many reasons).
* It is sturdy. This doesn’t feel like a flimsy erector set solution that is going to bend up.
* The metal hooks at the top and bungie hooks at the bottom is perfect mix of stability and speed to setup/take down. I used these for a season and experienced no fence shake or sliding (other than the whole fence shaking, which the mount can’t do anything about).
* It has a second mount for a battery, mic, or even second camera. Super helpful!
* The mount is designed to pull back from the fence at need. This is helpful if you have a Mevo (which needs to be pulled back) or just a bent fence… or you just want to be very precise with the depth of your camera.
* The whole thing is about the size of a piece of paper. This might not seem like a great thing, but it is large enough to be sturdy, but small enough to fit in a hanging file folder (which is how I choose to carry my mounts around). So this was very helpful to me.
Some improvements:
* I added a double ball head adapter/arm on each of these. I found that this really helps me place the Mevo camera at exactly the angle, depth, and XY axis point I want. A suggestion in case you want to do this too.
* I ended up ordering 3 of these. 2 of them came missing parts. 1 was missing a “1/4 20” screw for the sidecar mount. Looking closely, this side car mount seem to be designed differently vs the main one and is missing a piece that keeps the screw in when not screwed into something. I expect losing these might be a problem without this (so I purchased some on my own). The other was missing the two bungie cord attachments at the bottom. I will point out that the company discounted the one missing the screw (so I could buy some on my own). But they never responded about the missing bungie cords/hood/carabineer legs. I would have returned it but there were none currently available to swap out with, so I just bought some hooks, bungie, and carabineer clips to make my own. The point here though is that consistency doesn’t seem to be high in the quality department with these. Hopefully this gets better though.
I have a need of one more, but they are currently not for sale (otherwise, I would buy another). I am hoping that they become available again soon.
I like this item and it’s hard to beat for the price. I use it for baseball. I attach my Mevo, external battery, and my iPhone if needed. Attached well to metal fencing and netting. I use a Velcro strap when the field has netting, to keep it from moving too much on flimsy netting. I like this item and it’s hard to beat for the price. I use it for baseball. Used this to stream my son’s game last night & it was super easy to use. You just clip, tighten the knobs, adjust your device, and off it went. The ball hit the fence like 3 times during the game, and it held the Mevo in place. Used this to stream my son’s game last night & it was super easy to use. CREATIVE RIG TO SHOOT GOLDEN HOUR SUNRISE & SUNSET IN EXTREME TEMPERATURES ON A LAKE -20 CREATIVE RIG TO SHOOT GOLDEN HOUR SUNRISE & SUNSET IN EXTREME TEMPERATURES ON A LAKE -20
I bought two GoPro Hero 12s for Christmas.
Being a commercial photographer, I’m looking for new and creative ways to do time lapses of the sunrise and sun, especially in extreme conditions.
The extreme weather in Wisconsin creates ice build-up on the shoreline with waves crashing.
I was shooting on the Lakefront at -10, and setting up a time-lapse between sunrise and sunset was a real challenge.
I could not figure out how to mount anything stable near the Lakefront with all the ICE build-up attached to a tree, and it worked great!
This has given me several ideas about where I can position a 180 time-lapse and have an external battery run for 12 hours straight without braking the -20 windchill when setting up for a golden hour and breaking down.
I shot my first test sunrise and sunset over the weekend, and although this was covered in ice, it created an excellent effect for the time-lapse.
I look forward to shooting with us next weekend as extreme weather continues.
I congratulate NEEWER for pushing the creative envelope as a company regarding GoPro mounts.
I’ll be posting a 30-day supplemental review.

This will be beneficial for both Amazon and YouTube reviews.
High quality and versatile I ordered this to use with both phone and a GoPro cam for use on a chain link fence.
I was very impressed with the quality and finish of this item.
It is extremely versatile as far as adjusting/mounting on a chain link fence. It will work on more than chain link, but the top arms are designed to loop over the wire of a chain link fence, and are to narrow to fit on some fences or gates that use bars or thicker wood slats.
I haven’t had opportunity to use this in an action environment where there may be wind/vibration in the chain link fence. I’m not sure how effective the shock absorbing feature will be and will update the review after using this in the real, windy world.
decent and versatile NEEWER quality, greatly machined and engineered. Lightweight yet robust and it feels indeed comfortable and reliable.
Easy to attach to the fence and great for outdoor filing like sports. It’s very versatile to have standard action camera mount and universal smartphone folder.
Simple to install It was very simple to install on our outdoor garden fence. The instructions are very clear and simple to follow. It feels extremely sturdy on our fence. And I have no worries about the camera falling off.
Lightweight frame mount for action cams and mobile devices This is an aluminum frame to hold a device to a fence or other surface with the hooks. The description is for a chain link fence, but other fence types are possible with additional bungees or even twist ties. The frame comes adjustable hooks the top ones are aluminum arms held by 1/4 20 knobs. There are two holders for phone and other square device such as a SSD or battery for long recording. Also included is a knob mount for an action cam such as a Insta 360 or GoPro. These are attached to the frame with 1/4 20 studs and knobs.
The build is good, the aluminum construction makes for a very light frame so that it can be used against a fence against slight winds. The lower bungee hooks ensures that the frame held in place without flapping. This rig is very helpful for filming games or events behind fencing for long periods. Recommended for ease of use.
Good Quality This is very good quality product. This is made up of good metal.
This mount is good for out door filming like sports etc. You can attach both phone and go pro at the same time.
It’s very easy to install at most of the outdoor places like fences etc
You can hang this outdoor as well.
I would definitely recommend this produc
Ingenious through versatility. Normally if I want to film myself while doing different activities I would either need a selfie stick for a close proximity shot or I would need to have a second person filming me from further away if I would need a wider angle.
This mount eliminates the need of having another person filming me as with a bit of ingenuity, it is quite versatile in terms of places onto which it can be attached.
Besides being able to be attached to a fence it can also be attached to other places. I sometimes find the whole assembly a bit much, meaning the outer arms can be dismantled, leaving just the center square for when a tidier approach is needed.
In the center of the square sits the camera/phone holder which can catch all of the best angles needed as it is able to move up and down and also left to right in a 360* range.
The holder can also move left to right on the mounting frame across a 11 cm line so plenty all around movement to cover all the angles needed.
The metal frame it is very sturdy with easy to make adjustments.
I am glad that I have this mount as now I’m not tide down to anyone when it comes to filming me and I can simply take this mount with me and I can attach it to where I need it and crack on to filming my activity.
Exceptional item! What a good idea this is! I’ll be using this in my gym. Instead of perching my camera here and there I can rig it on the back of my rack and film to my hearts content. In my garden I’ll be able to rig it up on my fence and film my fitness moves (exercise, yoga and sports functional training).
I’ve a few Neewer items now and they are consistently excellent quality. I like how all my bits and pieces all work together.
A well-designed and engineered item that does indeed work We live not far from an RAF base which has a designated plane spotter ‘viewing area’ which is surrounded by a tall chain link fence so this Neewer Fence Mount for Action Cameras is going to come in handy. It comes in a plain cardboard box with instructions, ‘bungee’ cords you stretch to secure it to the fence as the top of the frame has shaped hooks to suspend it by – see photos. It is supplied with two smartphone holders plus Allen key, a base unit/frame to hold a GoPro – or a clone – type and the actual frame is so adjustable in so many configurations, it’s bound to fit one way or another the above cameras and is finished in a silver metal type texture. I have just done a ‘trial run’ using it (the weather is currently just (only just!) above freezing as I write this!) outside the local council yard that has the same style fencing and it took a few minutes to line it up and it works a dream I’m happy to say. If anybody wants a photo of a of dustcart in its lair, let me know! Note: I will point out that you get some funny looks initially as you assemble on a fence.. 🙂 A well-designed and engineered item that does indeed work
Apart from the Allen key issue - just remember to take one - this is well designed and easy to use. There are plenty of camera mounts for just about any type of surface or structure but this one allows you to attach your camera to a new one – the metal wire fence. This can be attached to a chain link fence around tennis courts and so on although it is not limited to use with sports.
This mount is in effect a rigid structural interface in the form of a frame that you attach to the fence and on the frame, you mount the camera and anything else that you need such as power bank or monitor by making use of the two, shock-absorber-mounted 1/4″ BSW mounts.
The shock-absorbers are the small red rubber devices that you can see in the close-up photographs. They don’t have a great deal of travel and are limited to just under 1mm. Although that won’t provide much protection against a direct hit with a tennis ball, it will largely protect your equipment from the high frequencies present in fence strikes half a metre or more away.
A slotted rail runs the width of the frame plus a little more, giving a vertically moving horizontal rail in addition to the rest of the frame.
There are two mounts on the frame – one has a sliding base that will let you laterally displace the mount and the other is plain. Putting the camera on the first means that if you are shooting through a fence, you can slide the camera into the right place so that the camera peeks through a hole.
There is an action camera mount supplied as well as two mobile phone mounts so that you can use a phone or action camera as your primary equipment with another phone adaptor available for secondary equipment.
The other mount is also a 1/4″ BSW mount but this has no lateral displacement on it so it is more for secondary equipment where position isn’t so important such as power backup or monitoring equipment.
The quarter BSW screws are tightened with an Allen key which is the only real problem with this piece of equipment because it means that there is something else that you have to remember to take with you and if you forget, you will have a problem with it.
The mounts can both go on the horizontal rail or they can go literally anywhere that there is a slot.
The frame mounts to the fence by hooking over the metal wire with two solid hooks at the top and the bottom is secured with the bungee cords. They are secured onto the frame with metal links that can be undone and moved to wherever you need them to be.
The various slotted metal sections are held together by large knurled nuts that are easy to lock.
Apart from the Allen key issue – just remember to take one – this is well designed and easy to use.
Works well for shooting sports through a fence This works surprisingly well for shooting sports through a fence and the footage is rock solid especially if you have image stabilisation which I still leave on, as well as action camera you can fit smartphones too and the kit comes with everything needed and is easy to fit, light weight and takes up very little room in my bag, great little mount this.
Great, versatile mou This is ideal for filming racket sport, baseball, cricket practice sessions or some 5 a side pitchside action.
The design means you can easily attach this to a chain link style fence (as found in most outdoor sports places) or any other thin bar fence. You can also use the bungie cords to attach it in other places too, adding to the versatility of the mount.
It has both phone mount and Go Pro/action camera mounting brackets.
The build quality is great as expected from Neewer, it’s just slightly on the large size for me.
If you are looking for a good quality mount, that you can probably adapt for many other uses, then this is great and looks like it’s built to last.
More useable than I though This device has taken me by surprise with its versatility. It is apparently designed primarily to attach to a chain link fence to mount an action camera along with a power bank if required. The idea is to capture sports events occurring on the other side of the fence.
Well,,, I can’t rightly remember the last time I stood behind a chain link fence watching a sports event, but that does not rule out this camera mount from being very useful to me. For example, there is a tall 7-foot wire fence behind my workshop, beyond which Deer occasionally roam. This mount will be quite happy sitting on that fence with my automatic wildlife camera on it.
Another example. The arms of this system detach very simply, as do the bungee cords, leaving a square mount with convenient slots and holes all around. I happen to have a couple of sets of very powerful rubber-coated mounting magnets. That opens up the possibility of attaching this system to the side of my car or any other metal surface like. My workshop has metal cladding and there’s plenty of other steel structures around the compound that could make brilliant wildlife camera locations.
One of the issues I had early in the year with locating my wild cam camera was attaching it to the branch of a tree and the foilage getting in the way and triggering photos. I think it would be worth a try to suspend this mount from a branch with extra weights attached to help with stability in a light breeze. If it can be suspended from a tree, it can be suspended from a waterside jetty. It’s waterproof and looks rust-resistant to me.
Of course, instead of magnets, suction pads can be attached so the mount can cling to a glass window. That alone opens up a whole load more wonderful sites for time-lapses and wildlife photography.
Needless to say, I think I am going to get very creative with this simple fence camera mount with its vibration-dampening rubber mounts, rust-resistant design, and convenient battery bank holder.
I found this product was easy to attach firmly to chain link fencing. As has been my experience with other Neewer products, this phone fence mount is well-made and easy to use.
Five full stars from me!
