Beefy Portable battery for any occasio
This thing is awesome, it is super well made, nice and compact, holds a whole lot of juice and charges quickly.
I bring it everywhere, its the best portable battery pack, I never have to worry about running out of power anymore no matter where I am. I love this thing, I am so very happy with it.
Very cool item
The power bank to end all power banks. This thing hold a lot of power and can charge several things simultaneously, with the caveat that it only has one of each port though. Though I suppose if you have splitter cables that’s pretty easily solved. You can see in the picture that it has a little display showing how much power my phone which is plugged into it is drawing, and it also supports fast charging since its pulling 9V. Theres also some general information about the power bank which is nice. You can potentially charge quite a lot of devices off thus before it runs dry so its useful in so many situations, from camping, to photography or really any extended trip where you wont be certain of access to electricity.
Its actually not that big, but it is quite heavy, so if you have to lug it around yourself that is a bit of an unavoidable drawback. Still its a fantastic device to have and I can think of a lot of situations where it will be basically indispensable.
Excellent power unit for your AV equipme
We have a small studio in our home and we use a lot of varied gear that we have cobbled together over the years.
A central power unit for some of this was a problem with a nest of wiring hang out of the frames wit the gear making it very difficult to reposition or manage cabling effectively.
Put the power right there in the frames and problem solved. No wires to the other side of the desk, around the front of a mount or even under a lens or microphone.
Cables are run out the back and up or or down to this unit and I am so much happier that this has relieved so much wiring hassle for me.
LCD display with which port and value used make this an excellent addition to your studio equipment.

On-the-Go Charging Simplified 🎥
Switching to this mini V Mount battery has cleaned up my gear chaos beautifully. It’s small and doesn’t add bulk, yet it keeps everything powered up—from cameras to monitors. What a relief during those all-day shoots!
I do wish it had a case though. The sleek surface looks great but scratches easily, which is a bit of a letdown. For anyone in film or video, it’s definitely worth a look if you need reliable, portable power. Just be ready to handle it with care!
Uninterrupted creativity.
This battery can power not only cameras and camcorders but also monitors and other accessories. This versatility streamlines my gear setup, reducing the need for multiple batteries and adapters, With multiple output options including Type C, DC5521, DC5525, D Tap, BP, USB A, and DC
The inclusion of an OLED display is a thoughtful addition, providing real-time information on battery status, remaining runtime, and input/output voltage. This feature allows me to monitor power levels at a glance, ensuring that I can plan accordingly and avoid unexpected shutdowns.
The fast charging capabilities of up to 65W via PD USB C ensure rapid replenishment of power between takes, minimizing downtime and keeping me productive throughout the day. The convenience of fast charging cannot be overstated, especially in fast-paced production environments where every minute counts.
The compact design makes it easy to transport and mount onto various rigs, while the durable housing provides even in challenging shooting conditions.

Price point for this battery is really good for all its functions and small enough for use where ever whenever usage portability but a bit heavy.
USB A, USB Type C, DC 8V & 12V, BP and D Tap charge various devices like DSLR cameras, V mount battery plates, LED video lights. A cable that can power LED strips, speakers, mixers, etc.
The fast charging of this battery are stellar – full charge within 3-ish hours.
Overall the best battery that I could have asked for to use for extra charging. works very well.
This battery is nice to have around in case you need some extra juice in a pinch. It is versatile with a lot of available ports to charge your gadgets. I especially like the OLED screen that indicates charge attributes. The battery packs in a lot of power and distributes that power quickly. This is another quality product from Neewer I am happy to own. I highly recommend this battery for anyone in need.

Powerful 65W USB-C Power Delivery; Reasonable Charge Time With A 65W Charge
I like that the USB-C output port on this battery can give a stable 65 watt power delivery to my Molus X100 Video Light; also, I was able to test this battery with a mini projector that takes USB-C power input and it worked fine. I appreciate that the battery does come with the 12V & 8V power cables included.
I was able to drain the battery and fully charge it to 100 percent within 3 hours; I did use a 65W USB-C charger that came with my ThinkPad to achieve this. I believe the charge time is reasonable and the unit did not feel unbearably hot and only slightly warm.
Construction wise, the plastic enclosure felt acceptably rigid and I did not see any damage; The surface button did not feel loose and had a firm tactile press. The port covers did stay in place securely without falling out.
The only thing I did not like about this unit is the large glossy piano black surface which will be dust and scratch magnet. I wish this battery came with a storage sleeve or case to mitigate the accumulation of dust and oils in the exposed ports on the bottom of the battery.
From a utility standpoint, it’s nice that I can use this on a variety of devices rather than only just my camera gear; I love that this unit can intelligently manage connections and give me live updates on the delivery.
Powering Up On-The-Go
As a videographer constantly on the move, having a reliable and versatile power source for my camera equipment is crucial. Recently, I decided to upgrade to the NEEWER Mini V Mount Battery PS099E, and it has truly transformed the way I work.
The first thing that struck me about this battery is its compact and lightweight design. Despite its small size, it packs a powerful punch with its 6800mAh capacity and 99Wh rating, providing ample power to keep my camera, monitor, and other equipment running throughout long shoots.
One of the standout features of this battery is its versatility. Equipped with multiple output options, including Type C, DC5521, and DC5525 cables, as well as D-Tap, BP, USB A, and DC outputs, it’s compatible with a wide range of devices, including cameras, monitors, and camcorders. This versatility allows me to power all of my equipment with just one battery, eliminating the need for multiple power sources and streamlining my setup.
The OLED display is another feature that I appreciate. It provides real-time information about the battery’s remaining capacity, voltage, and charging status, allowing me to monitor its performance at a glance. This added visibility gives me peace of mind knowing exactly how much power I have left and when it’s time to recharge.
Speaking of recharging, the fast charging capabilities of this battery are truly impressive. With support for 65W PD USB C charging, I can quickly recharge the battery between shoots, minimizing downtime and keeping me focused on capturing the perfect shot.
Overall, my experience with the NEEWER Mini V Mount Battery PS099E has been extremely positive. Its compact size, versatile output options, OLED display, and fast charging capabilities make it the perfect power solution for my on-the-go filmmaking needs. I highly recommend it to any videographer or filmmaker looking for a reliable and portable battery solution.
Bulky but powerful
This V-Mount mini is another good product from Neewer.
This Battery may have a lot of bells and whistles on it as it should for the $250 price tag.
It is best suited for a camera that’s on a rig, but it can be used off of one as well, but that might be a bit over bearing.
This battery comes with a USB-A, USB-C ports, 8V, 12V and D-Tap ports. All of which are output except for D-Tap or USB-C are both input and output. Having the option to charge the battery via USB-C is what sold me on it as D-Tap can be bothersome.
This battery is 99Wh which means it should just be able to take on plane making it a good travel battery.
What I was not a fan of was the rubber flaps on the ports, I found them a bit too flimsy and not secure in my opinion. All that means is keep this battery dry and out of the elements as much as possible.
Overall, great edition to my Neewer collection.
I'm not even sure that I know what I have. I thought it was some sort of power pack for charging and powering cameras phones and other devices. Upon closer examination of the listing and the instructions that accompany the device along with the recent reviews, I can see that it is meant for a camera. But The listing also talks about iPhones, iPads etc. I guess if you owned a camera that took this type of charging device I would have known this. Regardless I was able to use to to charge my iPhone pro with no issue. It appears that there are a couple of options to recharge the device but unfortunately I don't have the required 65w charger and they didn't include one. I have it on a lesser charger and it is charging but slowly. To the extent that I am able to determine, It seems to work properly .

UPDATE: So NEEWER contacted me and it just so happens they did make an update to the product and fixed the D-Tap port and they graciously sent it to me free of charge. It clips properly now and fixed the biggest flaw the battery had. Amazon might still have the old version in warehouses so if you receive an old version with loose D-Tap port I’m pretty confident NEEWER should replace it for you. I updated the score to reflect the service and the fixed port. Wish it had 2 D-Tap ports, but it’s probably one of the best batteries in this price class, especially on sale.
Original Review: As other reviews have mentioned here and on their other SKUs, the D-Tap port is extremely loose. Doesn’t hold any d-tap cables I have well. It’s clearly a design flaw as it has no notch to hold onto the cable clip.
Design of the battery is pretty good otherwise, USB-C port is ok so far and it’s pretty light. LED screen is good. Getting about 84Wh of real capacity.
It’s a HUGE shame the D-Tap port is flimsy, because this was a good battery for the price. If they make an update to this product, this is the only thing they need to fix really.
Great with tiny quirks
Overall, so far a great battery for the price point. All the ports you really need and a led display showing the power draw on each, eliminating the need for an expensive plate.
The mini v mount form factor is a much better design than the regular size bricks, though it is similar weight to them.
Some small quirks:
-the power button is on the face (aka back) of the battery, which means that it IS possible to hit it if you’re carrying your rig against your chest. It doesn’t feel that sensitive and the button is concave so how much of an issue this will actually be over time is yet to be seen.
-the port covers are a bit stiff and don’t flop out of the way like other brands I use, meaning they could put pressure on the connectors or just be annoying when trying to plug things in. This is especially true with the 8v and 12c outputs.
Relatively minor things, especially for the price point.
Great quality, does the job perfectly, rapid charging
Firstly I will say that I haven’t been able to use this much due to the terrible weather recently. I mostly shoot outdoors so it’s not been a great time to review this bit of kit, as I’m not going to risk it out in the rain (particularly as it’s a battery).
Here are my main points for and against this product:
For:
Solid build quality
Quick charging via USB-C
Good capacity
Compact form factor
Bright and clear LED readout
Lots of ports
Reasonable price
Great packaging and presentation
Against:
Port flaps can come loose
Expensive at RRP (seem pricing info below)

This new mini V mount battery is clearly a response to the Smallrig version, and I have to say I think it’s the better model right now.
It comes in excellent packaging and feels premium. It’s obviously got some weight to it, but there’s not anything that can be done about that except someone bringing out a graphene battery.
This has 99 watt-hours, enough to keep you running a hungry cam and monitor for 5-6 hours. Recharging is very quick, get a pair of these and keep charging and you can keep going all day. The unit also stays quite cool, it gets warm but nothing worrying. These features are what you are paying for with a battery like this, and why they cost so much.
I have been testing on my Canon + smallrig cages and although the fit isn’t 100% perfect it’s close enough. I tend to have everything double-secured anyway as I shoot outdoors a lot and falling is always just around the corner.
I don’t have the smallrig battery to compare right now, but the Neewer seems to be at least as good, if not slightly better, and at a cheaper price.
Talking of price, the RRP for this appears to be 250, which is a bit silly considering the competition is under 200. However, on Amazon there is an 80 discount voucher, making it 170, which seems to be the cheapest in the UK at the moment. Looking across other retailers in the EU and US the price seems to consistently be $150 / 150 euros.
I am assuming these prices will stabilize at about 150 soon, and this review is based on the price of 170.
In summary I will say that this is a great little battery and will be very useful when I finally get good weather for a full day outdoors.
